Great review, I've got Black-Green bezel and wore almost everyday for 2 months. I found some issues for mine. 1. Bezel alignment, just a millimeter to the left. 2. Endlinks are so tight, sometime not move freely. 3. Crown is not feel so smooth, sometime hard to tight it. After I send message to them, they sent service team to pickup at my house in next day (I live in Bangkok). Then they fix it and sent back within a day. All issues has been gone. What a great customer service.
@@Emaratilfy Im guessing you'd pay for the shipping to send it back for repair, heck they might not even charge for it. Wouldn't surprise me, they seem like a solid company.
I had placed an order for this watch. It's been 3 weeks. I tried reaching out through email with my order number. They have not response to multiple emails. Horrible customer service
I recently got my first Wise, AD840, not the GMT. I have to say, I was absolutely floored by the amazing quality and appearance of this watch. The dial texture plays with light beautifully which I didn't expect, the polished surfaces play with reflections on the outside. The bracelet is lovely and comfortable with micro adjustment on the clasp and the watch is much thinner than you might expect. Easily one of my favorite watches at easily half the price or less than some of my other favorites.
I've got this and a Strat O Timer and they are pretty comparable. This is every bit the equal of the Jack Mason, just a touch more formal. Both fantastic watches worth every penny.
Update: Just got the watch yesterday and am very happy with it. It looks way better in person, the dial does not come through on video or pictures as it does in real life! The watch looks and feels very premium. One thing that I do want to mention because I haven't seen anyone comment on this. The clasp deployment mechanism seems to be smaller than any other watch I own. When the watch is adjusted to the correct fit (snug) I have a difficult time getting it over my hand. Its not terrible but all my other watches slide easily over my hand with room to spare, this one takes a little time and care. Maybe my hands are disproportionately large to my wrist but I don't think so. The clasp mechanism is exactly the same length as the buckle of the clasp which makes it sit flat on the wrist and looks really nice.. Most of my other watches have a little longer mechanism that extends beyond the buckle and under the first link or two of the bracelet which makes putting it on and taking it off much easier at the expense of sitting flat and having a nice smooth look. Thanks Dave!! I got the gray one, Still waiting, Should ship around the 9th. I was worried a little about the blingy bracelet not looking good because of smudges and scratches but went with it anyway because of the 4hz travelers gmt (hope it's a good movement, Haven't had a Miyota yet) And the overall looks and reputation for build quality.
I got the Zelos Mako 300M GMT, which also uses the Miyota 9075. Nice movement, but my sample runs consistently fast by a notable amount. That's an issue with Zelos's efforts (or non-efforts) at regulating movements before they go out the door, not with the movement itself. It's great otherwise.
The WISE Adamascus ADX120 I have ordered already during the pre-order time in November 2023. I did receive my WISE GMT already in April 2024 at Terminal21 and have it now for more than half a year. This watch is a real beauty and offers very high qualitity at all. No complains at all! The finish of the case, dial, hands and bracelet is satisfying in every way and it's running with +3-4 seconds a day in the level of a certified chronometer. At my collection I already have 60 watches, most of them SWISS made, also IWC, Jaeger LeCoultre, Omega, Longines, Certina, Chopard and many more, but this WISE has an outstanding value for money and I love it more than many of my much more expensive watches. I don't like all the models from WISE, but if you see there a watch you like, I think you cannot make anything wrong buying a WISE.
I received my ADX 110 in grey with a yellow gmt hand at the beginning of this week. Love the watch, keep looking at it. The lume is indeed insane, however, since the watch dial is relatively small, it is hard to see the gmt in the dark, as it is tiny. And that is my only overall criticism: the dial should really be 43 or 44mm, the watch is just too small imho. Or at least there should be a large version, next to this one. I measure 39.9mm, not the stated 40mm also. But again, love it, its so good looking for that money.
This watch has been on my watchlist for awhile. Great to see more reviews on it. I agree with the brown one. The rose gold accent looks awesome but that bezel 😅
Here’s something that stands out to me about Wise watches as an owner of one: many of the other models they have-even though i may not be in the market for the specific design or the style they have-I’d still want them over the competition 😮
This was an exceptionally SOLID review of this sweet azz GMT. It has way too many features and seems head and shoulders above its microbrand competitors. This will be an addition to my small collection. You had me at: 904L, 72 Click Bi-directional ceramic bezel! Good Lawd.
I've already got a Seiko SSK and a Zelos Mako 300M GMT, both of which are great. If I were to get another GMT watch, it would have to be something that doesn't look like a dive watch. I can picture this Wise without the big bezel and relying only on the small ring of 24-hour numbers on the dial - that would be a nice option.
I agonised between this and the new Zelos Thresher. They are both very cool. In the end I went for the Zelos. No regrets, it’s amazing. Saving for this now😂😂
WISE has so many attractive watches and I keep thinking I'm going to pull the trigger on one. This GMT may be a better sub for the Rolex Master II than anything else I have or am likely to get, but I kinda bought the Vaer G5 for that purpose when it first appeared. My first (and recent) Zelos purchase was the Mako GMT and I love my CW C63 Sealander GMT, so I just can't see another GMT for the foreseeable future. But its always fun to browse .
My ideal watch would be one like the Wise GMT, but with a high-quality high-precision quartz movement --- seconds-per-year accuracy and a smooth sweeping second hand. A little hatch in the back for changing the battery, like on the Timex quartz GMT would be a plus. I would buy such a watch immediately, if it were available. I own watches with automatic movements, but for a work watch like a GMT, I don't want to have to screw around with a mechanical movement, even one that is chronometer certified.
Glad to see your findings on the ADX are congruent with others. I do agree with your initial preference for the brown as well as the fact that the shade ultimately proves too light. That said, the blue doesn't really excite me in the same way. Perhaps the green would have been a more interesting choice. I love how it presents on your wrist, but ultimately this quite foolish and sporty styling is less for me than some dressier options from Wise.
I have the grey bezel and with the 904 steel and charcoal/ anthracite grey dial looks amazing!! Wears better then the seiko spb143. I really like the hand set... and yes that crazy lasting lume!! I have mine on the rubber and it's fitted and looks amazing! Imho This watch looks better in person!
Wise is one of the more interesting micro brands according to me. For a flyer GMT based on the Miyota 9075 I'd also consider Jack Mason, but Wise seems to offer more watch for the $ (and you get that sumptuous 904L steel 👍).
Great review!!! The dial and hand set layouts do look really good. But as you said, the brown bezel reminds me of the color of my "morning ritual" in the bathroom, ha ha. I just wish it was much darker and richer brown color. then, it would have been a winner. Also as for the bezel color bezel, I think it is still too light blue and somewhat it does make the watch bit cheaper look. it is quite amazing how much of colors reflect the perception of watch. Anyway, great review and I thank you.
Well, technically, the free spinning bezel on the Glycine is the most secure because it has a clasp system that screws in to lock it into place. That can't be knocked out of place.
Hi Dave, does it feel chunky on the wrist? I'm just worried about the lack of taper on the bracelet and the clasp looks quite big/wide. I ended up selling my Erebus Origin 41 because it didn't have enough taper and felt too cumbersome on the wrist. I much prefer bracelets that taper to 16mm. Thanks!
Honestly, this baffles me. Why selling a watch, if the strap is not tapered? There are so many great after market straps available these days, just get the strap you want on the watch you have...
I should have pulled the trigger last fall when I could have pre-ordered this for $600. But I couldn't decide which colorway and I also wanted the Jack Mason Strat-O-Timer which I bought in the blue and black color.
Which would you choose? Im not a fan of the poo brown, so I've been torn beteeen the ADX 130 with the blue bezel and the 110 in grey. I really like the consistent overall look of the 110 which is more formal and I love the increased sunburst effect on the grey dial although that may make the hands less legible and the grey though looks a bit flat.

I got my blue black Wise gmt took 3mths and a large import tax into uk but still under $1000 at $911. It looks and feels great but…. I’ve had 3 pins come out and one of them 3 times! I’ve lost all confidence in wearing it as it will fall and I’ll lose pins and or break it. So very disappointed most reviewers wouldn’t likely wear them much over time so might not see these design or build faults. I’ve much cheaper watches all solid screw pins and this has never happened before.
The modern Rolex GMT is way too overated, the older ones and vintage Rolex GMTs are nice but way too expensive, if I wanted a GMT maybe it would be a GS if it was ultra high end. You can get some very good miyota 9075s for less and I think the lorrier GMT is amazing just with they made sapphire but I don't mind I managed to get a Squale GMT 39 on sale for 500 with a top grade SW330-1 It's a good movement and in my opinion it's the same accuracy as a basic ETA 2824 But I would prefer a 2893 /SW330 while an office GMT, the Miyota 9000 series is amazing and I wish they made one with microadjsutment and maybe a top grade. The amazing thing about the 9000 series is it's thinner than the 2824, nearly as thin as the 2892 and they make a no date, date and also a GMT so most comfolations people want. Even a power reserve but no day date yet. When regulated it's 2824 reliability and even though is uni-directional winding it's quiet and if it's not just a drop of oil in the rotor and it's fine but it's a 4hz movement that you can replace so in most nations it will be cheaper to replace.
I may give that up, seems like they're getting less and less effective at drawing new people in. But historically it's helped the TH-cam algorithm pick up those videos.
I like this comparison. But to make it fair, imagine a Corolla with 90% of the performance of the Lambo, featured leather and carbon fiber interior and gull wing doors.
@@JusttheWatch I like to think of it like this. The WISE ADX is approximately 6.6% the cost of a new GMT Master II batman. Are you really getting 93.4% less watch with the WISE? No, I don't think so.
There is a brand from 10 years ago, that selles watches under this name WISE. That is considered the most cheap watches, the most expensive model is 100$. I would not buy a watch with this name, everyone would laugh because of the name.
Dave, why do you have to tell us you’re from Japan every single time. That’s weird that be like every time somebody left a comment they would tell you where they’re from…. it’s very strange and every single video you’re like I’m from Japan. I’m from Japan so what you’re from Japan who cares? It’d be different if you were like pumping SEIKO every single day or something?
Mostly just as a quick introduction to new people. I grew up listening to the radio a lot and maybe also was a bit influenced by how stations often included their broadcast location in their announcements.

You can get some very good miyota 9075s for less and I think the lorrier GMT is amazing just with they made sapphire but I don't mind
I managed to get a Squale GMT 39 on sale for 500 with a top grade SW330-1
It's a good movement and in my opinion it's the same accuracy as a basic ETA 2824
But I would prefer a 2893 /SW330 while an office GMT, the Miyota 9000 series is amazing and I wish they made one with microadjsutment and maybe a top grade.
A watch that ticks so many boxes, but i just dont find the design appealing at all!!
Look at the Vostok GMTs, really waterproof and incredibly rugged.
Nope
I hate clicking on R-bait titles but I thought your review of the Wise would be worth it. I was right.
I may give that up, seems like they're getting less and less effective at drawing new people in. But historically it's helped the TH-cam algorithm pick up those videos.
Super annoying to let your music run that long in the beginning of the video. Makes it hard to hear what you’re saying.
THE WATCH IS COOL THE PRICE NOT BAD TO
Budget? San Martin is budget... $720 is not budget 😂.
Wise is a potato chip, Sport.
And a Toyota Corolla is a Lambo alternative 😅
I like this comparison. But to make it fair, imagine a Corolla with 90% of the performance of the Lambo, featured leather and carbon fiber interior and gull wing doors.
@@JusttheWatch I like to think of it like this. The WISE ADX is approximately 6.6% the cost of a new GMT Master II batman. Are you really getting 93.4% less watch with the WISE?
No, I don't think so.
This watch is the Audi RSQ3 to the Lambourghini Urus.... Just with a much bugger price difference lol
There is a brand from 10 years ago, that selles watches under this name WISE. That is considered the most cheap watches, the most expensive model is 100$. I would not buy a watch with this name, everyone would laugh because of the name.
Plz buy timex watches
Can't say I'd like to wear a watch that says wise on the dial
Dave, why do you have to tell us you’re from Japan every single time. That’s weird that be like every time somebody left a comment they would tell you where they’re from…. it’s very strange and every single video you’re like I’m from Japan. I’m from Japan so what you’re from Japan who cares? It’d be different if you were like pumping SEIKO every single day or something?
Mostly just as a quick introduction to new people. I grew up listening to the radio a lot and maybe also was a bit influenced by how stations often included their broadcast location in their announcements.
Go touch grass, dude
I like it because it gives context and provides a little bit of personal lived experience.
Don't listen to the haters. I like that your in Japan.
Hi, I'm Adrian from Yorkshire and I like it. Most TH-camrs have their signature greeting and this is Dave's.
