    5 Xenomorphs - the deadly creatures from the Alien franchise - have infected stormtroopers aboard an Imperial II Class Star Destroyer from the Star Wars Universe. Making things worse, one of the creatures will grow into a Xenomorph Queen - one of the most fearsome science fiction beasts ever created. Will the Imperials finest be able to repel their Alien foe? This match will have two rounds: in round one, it's the 5 Xenomorphs against the Imperial II Star Destroyer and its crew; in round two, the Imperial II Star Destroyer and its crew also gets access to the Sith Lord Darth Vader! Xenomorph vs Star Destroyer. Alien vs Stormtroopers. Xenomorph Queen vs Darth Vader. Who Would Win? Find out on today's episode of Alien vs Star Wars: Who Would Win.
    As I mentioned, a Xenomorph is an incredibly deadly creature - they have acidic blood, are incredibly strong, and are very fast. The Queen even more so - she's huge, lays eggs, and doesn't take any crap.
    The Imperial II Star Destroyer carried 10,000 Stormtroopers, along with tens of thousands of other workers and officers. Darth Vader, Lord of the Sith, is a master of the Force, and one of the most fearsome forces in the Star Wars galaxy.
    Here's the animation I used in today's video:

      The problem is that there're no 'Rebel Planets'. There were rebel bases on planets, but a star destroyer exiting hyperspace would spook the rebels and have them evacuating almost immediately. You could assume that a distress call was being sent out, and the rebels might respond to that, but an Imperial II-class star destroyer is not worth a small squad of rebels. In the end the Alliance would tow it into a decaying orbit around the system's primary or a gas giant and let gravity and friction do the galaxy a favor.

    Short answer: yes. Mouse droids and other maintenance droids are everywhere on an Imperial ship that size. That means xenomorphs will be discovered quickly and can be tracked without risk to humans. Storm trooper armor may not stop the xenomorph’s jaws, but it will provide some protection from the tail and claws preventing group takedowns of troopers. Blasters would be quite effective against the aliens and would even partially cauterize the wounds so less acid spills. On top of that storm trooper armor has an air supply so an acid-caused hull breach won’t kill them. In short, given the number and type of armed personnel available they can take anything short of an army of xenomorphs.

    • @mrspeigel3593

      They have to be able to hit the aliens to kill them,if Darth is on board their good but run of the mill star destroyer could be screwed. There aren't that many sentient droids on Imperial ships because space racists.

    • @gbiondi20
      @gbiondi20 3 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      When talking about the blaster shots and the aliens. The Aliens have a pressurized exoskeleton. Meaning when hit, there is no cauterization the acid just shoots everywhere. You also have to take into consideration how hot a blaster shot is, because it's a lazer it would vaperize any water in the blood creating acid steam (lightsabers also do this) so the acid steam would melt the hull and the armor of the stormtroopers and even darth vader.

      @Urban Student Prepper Any Jedi can easily take on an army of Xenos. They have lightsabers which cauterize the wounds, so no worrying about acid blood. And even then, Jedi like Cal Kestis, a Padawan who had his connection to the force damage was pretty resistant to acid, so even if lightsabers can't cauterize the wound permanently, it can still allow the Jedi to back up and move away from the acid unharmed. Also, they have Precognition which means they know your next move before you even do it. So face huggers are out of the equation. And force abilities will cause trouble for a lot of Xenos.

    Yes the empire actually has numerous militarized droids for numerous scenarios, from urban pacification to front line combat. Two such droids being the Carbonite war droid and its cousin, the incinerator war droid. Each destroyer has a contingent of them on board. The most effective would be the carbonite droid, mainly due to the fact it sprays super heated liquid carbonite, and if it doesn't boil you alive upon being covered in it, when exposed to air it super cools and hardens within seconds, essentially trapping the already partially melted target. Also it would cause minimal damage to the ship. Then you have to take into account, sith acolytes that may be on board or even imperial shadow guards, terror troopers, terror droids, terror walkers, terror bio-droids, shadow troopers, incinerator troopers, imperial commandos. So yeah, they have numerous ways of flushing out and eventually snuffing out the xenos.

Also, if this is the first contact with Xenomorph the Empire will take greater losses than most expect not knowing what they are up against.
      Just watch the Alien franchise (again) to see how they move against human. Even their losses are frightening stuff. They tend to kick ass.
      Now, watch how the Empire are easily infiltrated in SW films. That's all you need to know.

      Yeah, while if the Star Destroyer has a special ops detachment, which is very unlikely considering their are 25’000 of them, the destroyer will have a few specialist troopers: incinerator troopers, maybe a carbonite droid or two. But assuming the Xenos manage to get around thirty warriors it would be a good long fight but the imperials lose. However, it should be taken into account that unlike the Alien movie, almost all imperial personnel are armed, and blasters are more powerful than bullets.

    • @voidtraveller8667
      @voidtraveller8667 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Eh, most of the droids would be ineffective just from the perspective of the way the xenos tend to move through an area, too tight and out of the way for easy access. I also think you are over estimating how useful specialist troops would be in this situation. Xenos are primarily ambush predators until they have enough numbers to simply swarm. throw in that unless there is a good science team, or specific individuals on board, they would likely remain largely undetectable to Imperial scanners, I doubt they would make much of an impact until the xenos had sufficient numbers to be taking whole sections of the ship, and at that point its a losing battle for the Empire.
      Sith Acolytes however would be an interesting wild card, however it would be unlikely they would be onboard as they usually were covert operatives or away on secret projects.
      I will say though, with the way Xeno's exoskeleton works, Carbonite would be extremely effective. Possibly too effective. Might end up with explosive xenos like in the third movie. at that point your just spraying an area with highly corrosive blood.....

    Generally I could see the Xenomorphs surviving a couple weeks and killing dozens of crew members at best before the overwhelming remainder of the crew organized to hunt them down and root them out.
    The main issues are in 1) how long it takes the crew to realize they have a problem and organize an appropriately lethal response 2) If the Xenomorphs are able to breed and raise enough new Xenomorphs to really present a sizeable threat. This is really dependent on how quickly the queen can lay eggs and how quickly the crew reacts to having crew members disappear.
    The bigger question to me is why the crew would not see the parasite hatch-lings in the infected crew members. Star Wars era has very good medical scanning equipment and so I would expect them to detect the presence of the parasite quite quickly and take measures to remove them before they were grown enough to hatch.

      Just because they know they're there doesn't mean they know how to remove one safely, or that they'll comprehend the threat. If they try to remove one and the acid kills the patient and creature, the medical teams will probably stop and regroup. The creatures could burst during that conference period.

      @@marcuspowell8142 Leia, Luke, Solo & Kenobi are human. Chewie they could put in handcuffs and pretend he was a prisoner. Being denizens of the area the Empire is operating in they are fairly familiar with Imperial tech and could guess how to use it _or_ disable it. Xenomorphs are not going to be able to "hide" within the population. They can't don storm-trooper outfits and aren't likely to be able to use doors, never mind blasters or elevators... at least as intended. On they other hand, they are going to be very, very hard to stop from physically breaking into from one area to another. However, their propensity for liking dark areas and striking from the shadows means that wherever they go, very likely they are going to take lighting systems out of commission. Not to mention the organic goo they tend to leave around once in an area for awhile. The entire crew of a Star Destroyer is a lot bigger than the human marine expedition force pictured in the movie "Aliens". The Stormtroopers have more advanced medical diagnostic facilities ( likely more than one such station on board ) more advanced surgical facilities. In combat with the Xenomorphs Stormtroopers are using weapons that can either stun or literally burn holes in things, cauterizing them immediately. By comparison the human Marines weapons from Earth mostly were designed to straight up punch holes in things, or blow them apart. The effect of this difference vs the Xenomorphs is that Stormtroopers will punch holes in Xenomorphs with minimal acid blood splash, whereas with the Earthling Marines it was literally splash-O-rama. So shooting a Xenomorph about to kill a fellow stormtrooper is far less likely to result in condemning that stormtrooper to death by acid burns. There is the question, does stromtrooper armor protect at all from acid? Also, the interiors of Star Destroyers are filled with notoriously bright white hallways, etc. Xenomorphs would probably have to "trash" them to make them more to their liking, but in the process... make it blatant that they were in the area.

    • @imaran1303
      @imaran1303 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JohnDoe-oq2fx No, they would just hide in the shadows and most equipment is not going to pick them up, any droids they send out to investigate would be destroyed. Xenomorphs are more then willing to ignore droids... as long as they do not pose a threat to their hive. And entering one of those hives... yes... I said one of those hives would be considered a threat, also, after the Earth War. Xenomorphs adapted to make lots of smaller hives so that one gets found, the other can keep growing, and to just point out how quick Xenomorphs reproduce... a few getting lose on earth was enough for them to take over the damn planet.
      Xenomorphs wouldn't really be out in open hallways, but in ducts and vents, hiding. And I doubt Stormtrooper can take acid that can burn through the hulls of starships, so there is that as well. Also, a Xenomorph exoskeleton is extremely pressurized, meaning any blast will cause massive splashdamage, it is why Predators who also use energy-based weapons, still cause the aliens to explode in acid blood rain.
      Xenomorphs, especially in such a small number would do nothing to hint at where their hive is at. You could be walking down a brightly lit walk-way, you pass under a vent and SWOOP! You are gone. With not a trace that you were ever there, and in the few moments it takes for them to realize you are missing, you were already impregnated and 5 buddies of yours were abducted as well and also impregnated, that is how quick they work, even faster once more soldiers start popping up, and once they have enough numbers, they would first focus on erradicating the resistance that threatens their nests the most, droids and troopers And Troopers may be clones, but they are still based on a humanoid that needs to sleep, and any sleep while a Xenomorph around is potentially lethal. They would take out entire squads one by one until they are numerous enough to just bumrush you, they are like cockroaches, if you see one, that means there are hundreds more.

    I disagree with a few points, but agree with the outcome. The speed of reproduction is what stops them. They have to sneak around and pick people off, and it's that, that's going to slow the speed of their growth. By the time they're nabbing victims quickly enough, the Imperials can rally and raid the nest in force. Without the queen, it becomes a dangerous game of cat and mouse with the remaining xenomorphs, but its an uphill battle for them, with the Imperials locking down their methods of movement between decks. Casualties would be very high, but it's an Imperial win for sure.
    People in the comments are getting too hung up on hardware and biological abilities. Blasters are still going to cause acid spray. They hit with tremendous concussive force and that works differently against a hard carapace versus soft, squishy flesh. Flesh absorbs the impact, an exoskeleton fractures, causing larger wounds which will not all be cauterized. Stormtrooper armor is not going to provide more protection than Marine armor. They're both designed for different purposes, but neither is designed to withstand concentrated acid. Remember, their armor is bankrolled by the same guys who think a hyperdrive, shields and even life-support are too big of luxuries for a starfighter. Stormtroopers are seen to have plenty of trouble with getting hit by sticks and rocks by ordinary smugglers and space teddy bears alike, so it's not going to protect them too well from a tail or a second mouth (That's pharyngeal jaw if you want to sound like a science-y Wey-Yu type.)
    Just think about it. The hive in the second movie was established and still lost dozens of xenomorphs to nine marines and a civilian Warrant Officer (Not counting Bishop, Gorman, Ferro or Spunkmeyer as they were in mostly non-combat roles...mostly.) We are talking about over a thousand times that many armed combatants, not just trying to destroy the hive, but resisting them getting a foothold.
    The only thing, and I mean ONLY thing that might see an Alien victory is Imperial hubris. The Empire thinks they are vastly superior to any foe, especially non-humans, and act arrogant and brash because of it. I think there is a chance that an officer might see the initial infestation as almost no threat and simply not take the initiative in combating it until it's too late. You or I don't have the Imperial psychology of perceived superiority over any alien threat, and we're also blessed with the meta-knowledge of knowing exactly what Xenomorphs are and what they do. An Imperial commander might be sitting there on the bridge, in his jackboots (or comfy slippers depending on the actor) while he sneers in his 'evil and haughty' British accent, "Cease day to day operations and lock down the vessel over four little worm creatures? I think you overestimate their chances."

      Troopers vs Marine armor...Stormtroopers have a full body glove and enclosed helmet with respirators.
      They don't give off a pheromone scent like the colonial marines do, so the xenomorphs don't "see" them as potential hosts and difficult to detect.
      They ignored androids, why wouldn't they ignore a trooper in his enclosed armor?
      This grants Stormtroopers a very significant advantage, not for physical protection but that's not the whole battle.

    Oh hey, by lore yes in fact there are several Xenomorph-morphs can and do spit acid. Its when they've matured as a nest for quite awhile they develop guardians which can throw their acid across distances of 20 meters.
    You discount almost... All the advantages of xenomorphs though and might not have a good grasp on the lore. That's fine, most people haven't read the actual lore behind them. Xenomorphs do NOT Cauterize their wounds, and storm troopers do not use laser (they use plasma) which the USCM has in spades. Their kinetic weapons are actually better because they are automatic **AND** explosive. The USCM also has a much better armor to be frank than storm troopers other than the body glove. Its a plastic polymer with a coating that actually slowed the acid down significantly... Though even though it is touted as being very avid resistant, it still only resisted the acid for a few seconds. Lets get into the breakdown though;
    **Xenomorph Breeding:** Chestbusters have the ability to sense when their victims are isolated or not. The one on the Nostromo didn't much care where it popped out for some reason, this is theorized to be since it was being examined Ash had been paying a lot of singular attention to it. Its maximized chance of survival was to wait it out until it simply got too large, and it was the best/last moment it had to get out before it just started to kill the host due to its sheer size and bulk. But typically a chest burster will wait until their target is asleep and isolated. It does this by sensing electromagnetic fields (like a shark) outside of its victim, so droids don't get a pass here. They also keep this ability in adulthood.
    After this stage come the duck and cover stage... You will need to likely re-evaluate as they are probably bursting out of the stormtroopers when isolated and will most assuredly have 5 surviving chest bursters. These things aren't just "fast" they are greased hecking lightning capable of lunging at speeds of 50kph and traveling faster than a humans sprinting speed. They would definitely find a way to hide away and mature.
    This is where you get it really, really, **really** wrong...
    **Xenomorph Hunting:** This phase you got... So wrong. The Xenomorphs aren't jumping around going "Boo!" In front of armored or armed combatants. The queens aren't just "clever" they are *genius* when it comes to threat assessment. The Xenomorphs aren't jumping into groups of hostiles, and the queen doesn't need to establish her egg sack before beginning to lay. She can lay individual egg sacks but its slower. The adults will be targeting imperial officers, crew, and other unarmored and unarmed opponents especially when isolated... Say, personal quarters which almost all imperial officers have. Or ISB agents, etc.
    Power is the next thing they are targeting, xenomorphs can and **will** destroy electronics, computers, power, etc. They will use their blood to do this, or under direction of the queen actually directly attack power junctions and rip them to parts. They're fairly insulated from electric shock too and have been seen ripping into transformers to disable the power and continuing on despite being electrocuted.
    Even if caught and shot with a blaster... That doesn't cauterize their wounds. Xenomorphs have high pressure blood, and plasma or a light sabre won't get over the defensive mechanism which violently expels their blood. Predators while hunting them avoided plasma casters at close range as they, again, explode outwards with their blood. That and the StormTroopers literally have defective E-11 guns where as the M4A1 pulse rifle had 99 rounds, damn near perfect accuracy, effective range of up to 3 kilometers...
    So the Xenomorphs have been here and done this shake down before as a species. The Star Destroyer having SO many crew only makes this situation worse. Less people you can account for, more persons missing, the Xenomorphs have the choice of slow and steady or fast and violent. Star Destroyers have very large, very dark cargo area's.
    **Xenomorph Nest stage:** The Xenomorphs tend to found their hive after ten plus individuals. If they have having issues bringing their populations up, the queen will actually send face huggers away from the nest to hunt down isolated people. Again... This could be done anywhere at any time, and the queen will re-consume the wasted egg as she typically does with used eggs. Also, the original drones would all have begun evolving into queens if there was no royal facehugger btw. So without the royal face hugger, these 5 drones would have begun morphing into a queen. Only one would be successful, the other four would eventually became Praetorians which are massive, just about as large as the queen but not as bulky, and protect the nest.
    Also, don't really bother shooting these things especially with plasma, Praetorians and Queens are armored. Praetorians are more armored than a queen typically but a queen has more durability based on her sheer size and organ redundancies, but the Praetorians are shields... Their craniums actually develop queen-esque shields which were capable of defending from the M4A1 pulse imperviously. The M4A1 is a better weapon than storm trooper blasters, no seriously, this thing has more destructive potential than any slug thrower in the star wars universe and those things *shred* storm trooper armor. Hell, storm trooper armor is weaker than USMC but I'll get to that!
    Right now!
    **USCM:** The USCM are vastly superior to the storm troopers in every regard except the full body glove arguably allowing stormtroopers to survive in vacuum. Sources often have storm troopers dying in vacuum anyways. The USCM armor is... Outer layer is ulta-light titanium alloy which makes them laser resistant. Its an ablative layer. Then borite carbide bonded to a layer of graphite composite fiber, the boron is in conical shapes which disperses and take the energy from kinetic hits and is shatter proof. Under all this is a 1,500 denier Venlar fibre liner. This ammounts to armor that completely kicks that crap out of "plastoid" as it is a multi layered approach to defense with ablation. Lasers and Plasma are widely used against (and by) the USCM and are the least effective weapons in the unvierse when going up against the USCM... So outright, USCM > StormTrooper in terms of equipment, weapon, and even training as we know how categorically shit stormtroopers are.
    The Xenomorphs deal with these guys, who have tanks with automatic 90mm HEP/Canister/AP canons, gunships with more practical armaments of anything in the entire universe of SW... Seriously,. SW stuff is built just... Senslessly... The USCM is a better and more effective fighting force than the stormtroopers. And the Xenomorphs still go to town on them and they **know** what the Xenomorphs are! Even being prepared they still end up losing most the time, and why?
    **Xenomorph Intelligence:** Okay granted one drone isn't the most intelligent thing out there... But they are actually good problem solvers, very good. Bordering on better than the average human in problem solving while isolated. They are baited and trapped, but only when extremely agitated. Typically if you are attempting to trap a Xenomorph it recognizes you are not attempting to run, not attempting to flee... So something is wrong. This typically means they will back off and wait for an opportunity where you are more vulnerable and unaware of their presence. They do NOT like to attack targets that are aware of them when they could simply wait, unless they are carrying out wide scale operations... Which brings us to!
    **Queen Intelligence:** Queen Xenomorphs communicate. No they don't just do pheromones etc, they have a tangible and extremely complex language which they can communicate via "telepathy" (argued its EM fields using all their drones as relays and the hive itself and it carries over large distances) in which they know what their drones are looking at and seeing and if need be will give direct orders and concentration.
    They are capable of directing troop movements, tactics, and even grand strategy as the USCM has actually been involved in legitimate and outright warfare with a large hive. Queens are even capable of communicating between hives and Xenomorphs from two hives are known to meet up, stand together in close proximity, then run back to their respective hives in what is theorized to be information exchanges. These aren't just simply "animals" with "animal" intelligence, they are weapons of warfare designed specifically to win, and when plot armor isn't in the way there's not much that **ever** survives engagements with them inexplicably like Ripley.
    At any rate, the standard stormtroopers would be hard pressed to ever see a xenomorph coming, and even if they see them even hard pressed to hit them since they run up and around walls and can leap over 50 meters in under half a second. This leap is so powerful in some of the writing that when one was actually killed but still in air the body hit a USCM trooper and RIPPED his legs off from the force of impact. Storm Troopers have no, absolutely zero, defense to kinetic weapons or slash/stab, and the Aliens have been seen ripping through **military armor** of the USCM. Which I think I've established is better capable of protection. No Ewok ever killed a USCMarine. The fact there is such a huge population, vacuous storage spaces, isolated crew (some crew in a star destroyer barely leave their posts and sometimes aren't heard of for days) just means that these thing would spread an annihilate the ship that much faster.
    Now... Vader eh. I dunno, a lightsaber won't stop the blood from bursting everywhere, they're designed this way the xenomorphs. And there's no way for him to force sense them, similar to how Jedi had no idea order 66 was coming so too would there be no way to sense what a Xenomorph is "feeling" or intention... There is no emotion.

    The success of the Xenomorphs would hinge on finding a secluded space to build a hive. A Star Destroyer has a massive amount of interior space though, there may well be some unused machinery spaces or storage areas where they could set up without being noticed. Also, there are a ton of non-stormtrooper crew in support roles, not all of the people on board are armored combat troops. As many people as are on a ship like that, a few maintenance personnel going missing might not get noticed at first. The Xenos would need to be intelligent and uber sneaky.

    The reason why the Xenomorphs are not as dangerous in the Star Wars universe is in the name: 'Star WARS'. In the Alien franchise, humans were not in an active space war, and conflicts are sparse and generally based in espionage and terrorist groups. As seen in the movies, there are soldiers, but there might be only one platoons per battleship. However, in the Star Wars universe, there are just too many Stormtroopers aboard the Star Destroyer (having hundreds to thousands), and quite frankly they are more afraid of Darth Vader and the Emperor than they could ever be against xeno scum. Sure, many Stormtroopers would die, but they won't run out before the hive is located and exterminated.
    I fear that, even with the best case scenario, where Aliens start on a civilian vessel and make their way planetside on a populated backwater planet, in the end they'd get crushed. In the Aliens franchise the humans were terraforming planets, since all they really had was Earth and I suppose it was cheaper than exploring to find a habitable planet. In the Star Wars universe, many, many planets are inhabited and can thus send resources to defeat the Xenomorphs. Xenomorphs are dangerous to a fledgling human space empire in the early stages of colonization, where losing their homeplanet would probably extinct the human species; they are not dangerous to a politcally diverse galaxy that has been built over many millennia and has seen many great conflicts and had control change many hands. At worst, xenomorphs might just get added to the daily list of general bs the galaxy's inhabitants have to deal with.

      Sorry to say, you and Eckhardt both are underestimating the adaptability of the Xenomorphs, we are talking how a few were able to completely take over earth with little to no effort. Sure, humans fought back well enough, but the Xeno's simply adapted to them and spread like wildfire, the moment they realize that having one big hive isn't a advantage, they wouldn't do it, they would form many smaller hives, so that one gets destroyed, the other can keep growing. The thing is that even if you kill the queen, as long as one xenomorph remains, as long as one egg remains, that xenomorph can molt into a queen itself, and if it learns that wide open spaces aren't effective, it wouldn't grow too big and remain small so it can stay in the shafts. It wouldn't abduct troopers at first either, but it would focus on the unarmored and unarmed engineers of the ship.
      The Empire would lose scenario 1, with the Xenomorphs having no trouble, heck, a war-like race of space hunters have trouble with that species as well from time to time, and they are better trained and better equipped then your average Stormtrooper, so no, humanity being at peace isn't the reason why the Xenomorphs prosperred.
      Scenario two, the Empire wins, cause Darth Vader would stomp this infestation since his force powers would allow him to find the last speck of infestation until nothing remained... if he just doesn't simply decide to blow up the star destroyer once he left... most likely with a escape pod full of eggs. Cause yeah, that is how smart Xenomorphs are.

      The problem is that we do not know the exact molecular composition of Plastoid composite armor. That it contains or is made of materials associated with plastics and resins would indicate a certain amount of resistance to corrosives, probably even xenomorph blood. Not all of the armor was constructed of plastoid, so I would give this one just a resistance to, not an immunity to, acids.

    Lot of assumptions made in this. Like A: If there were witnesses to the chestbusters, then any security would be looking for a small creature.....probably something they would not deem as a high threat. Use the first Aline movie as an example, the captain goes into the ducts looking for a small creature, and dies because of it, even though he was armed. B: Those ships are massive, there would be thousands of personnel that would NOT be armed, easy targets. Much like an aircraft carrier, almost no one is armed, unless they are being boarded, or in a battle. C: You assume they would go into a security lock down because you know what the Alien is and can do, they do not. D: The Aliens would likely take up residence near the reactor, which would be a high radiation area, and likely the last spot they would look. Take the movie Aliens as an example, they only found the colonists due to locators implanted in each colonist. Then, while in the reactor, they could not use their primary weapons due to the risk of setting off a chain reaction and causing a Nuclear explosion.....combine that with the fact that storm troopers are crappy shots. E: Assuming that blasters, or a lightsaber would cauterize a carapace.....they do NOT have tissue, they have a carapace similar to insects, that would likely NOT cauterize to the effect that you mentioned, so acid becomes yet another problem. This is a fun hypothetical video, but you should probably take ALL factors into account. With Vader on board yes, they have better chances. But you are assuming he would be able to sense the Aliens in a way he is familiar with. According to lore, force sensitives can sense droids. They sense them by movement. They also sense feelings. If we go on the literature as well, and Vader senses both the movement, and feelings, the aliens in novelization are written as being full of hatred and rage.....sound familiar. Vader would likely be more intrigued, and likely would want to capture or learn about the Aliens, not destroy them.

      "Full of hate and rage"... That's like saying that army ants are full of hate and rage when they tear apart a larger insect to consume. Novelizations are just that, novelizations. If you look at a xenomorph, purely on an biological level, while they are highly intelligent individually, save for queens, they show no level of empathy whatsoever, and it can be argued that the one instance of a xenomorph queen showing empathy at all, was do in no small part to being a hybridized version of a queen (Thanks to Ripley being reconstituted/cloned in Resurrection). I would hazard, xenoporphs in general would be "force-blind" like a good few aliens in the star wars Lore are.
      That being said, while Eckart seems to have a raging hard on for everything star wars, I do have to tend to agree, against a competent, "shoot first" military organization like the Galactic Empire, 5 xenos on a star destroyer would not fair well at all, namely, because of those hamster droids that you see on nearly every single empire ship. If memory serves, generally speaking, they act as a means of internal reconnaissance, and given they are droids, are far more observant to their surroundings that troopers or even general crew, it would honestly not take terribly too long for actively hostile, potentially lethal proto-aliens to be found and destroyed. Also, given the sheer size of the ship, having bio-acid splatter a corridor or two would hardly be enough to do any lasting harm to the ship itself.

    Just a couple, not so quick, remarks.
    I imagine that the Empire would probably not have waited for the facehuggers to fall off on their own, and would have terminated the storm troopers in question, once it was determined they couldn't remove the facehuggers without killing the troopers.
    I recall there was reference to the character whose arm was cut off in the Mos Eisley Cantina was a creature with a circulatory system similar, i believe, to that of an arachnid which involved pockets of 'blood', not simply veins and arteries wrapped in soft tissue, in which case the entire pocket would be breached, and there is no tissue to cauterize over the wound. If this is correct, the cauterizing of a lightsaber may still be valid. Note the Wampa when it's arm was cut off, there was no blood spray, nor was there blood coming out of its severed arm when it bounced on the ground, also when Anakin and Luke each lost a hand (and Anakin lost more than that) there was no blood spray, which again supports the cauterizing effect of the lightsaber.
    (Although the explanation from Mos Eisley may have been retcon, due to a desire to explain absence of blood later)

    I think something you've overlooked is that the Xenos don't need to use Stormtroopers as their hosts. There's 27'850 enlisted personnel, and 9'235 officers aboard the ship that all don't wear full body armor. More than 37'000 juicy unarmored potential hosts to drag off into their hive. As for where they could put their hive, there are hundreds, if not thousands of areas on a Star Destroyer that are just empty save for a conduit running through them, or a capacitor bank or coolant pump, and aside from a few techs who would make a tasty meal, or a decent host, nobody goes in there.
    That said, as soon as the Xenos emerge, anyone who sees it would trigger an alarm. Unknown alien parasites are loose aboard ship. Initiate full containment lockdown.
    Obviously, as they do, the Xenos escape said lockdown and find a quiet place to start a hive. Soon they start dragging people back to said hive, and after a while the crew discovers that containment is breached, and the creatures have changed. And that they're more dangerous. And that they're multiplying, and hiding in the walls and ducts and maintenance areas. Time for a bug hunt.
    Areas near the sightings of the Xenos are evacuated of non-combat personnel, stormtroopers armed with repeaters and flame weapons move in, clearing section by section. Engagements usually start by a hidden Xenomorph impaling a trooper between the armor plates, but as they move in squads, the others hit the Xeno with blasters and fire. One particularly unlucky squad is completely overpowered by a cross between a Xenomorph and a Dianoga. But, after taking significant casualties, the hive is eradicated.
    The ship takes some moderate damage from a number of occasions that resulted in acid blood breaching conduits and destroying parts of systems. Also, the ship is kept on high alert, and all personnel are issued sidearms, and work in pairs, for several days of quarantine. During which time, the Destroyer itself is used to vaporize the entire area where the infection was first picked up, blasting the planet's surface from orbit.
    It's the only way to be sure.

      lek1223 You're the only person I've found to have said this. Also, the Empire has in their arsenal probe droids like the one that found the rebel base on Hoth. Though lightly armed, it's sensors should be able to locate the alien hive and it's ability to hover will allow it access to hard to reach areas. Also, the aliens would probably ignore droids for the most part since they don't put out a pheromone that would designate it a threat to the aliens. Until the droid opens fire on an alien, then the hive would react.

    So basically the xenomorphs get every possible break, advantage, circumstance, and boost to set this up. And see if they win. Still not going to win. Even if the queen gets away to lay eggs, hundreds of them. That is a warship, not a rattle trap abused space freighter with a skeleton crew. A SD carries thousands of troops in environmental, armored suits. And has thousands more crew that can be armed. Not to mention it is compartmentalized for battle which means that it in fact can seal off areas of the ship air tight and contain the threat.

Which has happened in legends before. But like I said, every possible thing given to them.
      You want to get right down to it though. The advanced medical facilities on a Star Destroyer are so much better than the garbage bucket ship they had in the first Alien movie that it might as well be magic medicine that could easily remove the face hugger and embryo that has been implanted. Then have the trooper back on their feet in under 3 days. And that's with 2 days in the bacta tank.

    Xenomorphs are more stealthy & cunning than you gave them credit for.
    A Queen can lay Dozens of eggs in under 30 minutes. And drones can move the eggs to populated areas of the ship most likely the crew's sleeping quarters.
    Xenomorphs are known to sabotage important systems no matter how complex the tech is like almost instinctively.
    I will say "IF" the ship can be completely combed in the first 24 hrs the xenos could be wiped out, maybe. But with 10 of thousands troopers as you said, 2 here 3 there wouldn't be noticed fast enough. Xenomorphs don't drag prey Willy nilly through hallways were God & anybody else can see. They snatch into darkened corridors & ventilation. Most likely the engineering staff & maintenance crews will be first victims as they work in the bowels of the ship & will be easy pickings.
    Droids aren't necessarily safe or the keys to victory as comics & lore show that a xeno will destroy one if it is seen as a threat or hindrance ( ask Bishop ).
    We all know Stormtroopers aren't the best shots (to put it nicely) & are prone to fits of panic in the presence other intimidating aliens.
    But Vader does pose a serious threat in the early to mid portions of this infestation. If he can sense them & takes the threat seriously I'm sure he'll take a hands on approach once it's quickly made clear the STs can't handle it. At that point I'll give that the 6 or more Xenos would be dealt with or captured?
    But if not, I still see Darth Vader fighting back to his Tie Fighter & escaping the hoard.

      Sagrotan It's obvious you know little of Halo. Let me educate you... The flood we seen in the games are just at their infant stage. They've literally started from scratch (as spores). The flood we see during the forerunner era, which are 4 stages ahead of the game flood, (also known as the Silentium flood) had thousand of planet size Gravemind capable of reality warping and even infecting space-time just by standing there to prevent slipspace travel for the forerunners. They had thousands of Star Roads, night indestructible cables made of neural physics several AU long, capable of slicing planets like salami and crushing stars and destroying star system (they could also move planets and stars with it and given enough time the entire galaxy). They also had the logic plague that is capable of hacking even the most advanced forerunner Ai ( which its tech is light years ahead than anything in Wh40k).
      On top of that, they had trillions upon trillions of infected forerunner warrior servants (a single warrior servant could solo at least 10 space marines), millions of war sphinx ( forerunner combat mech suit which are comparable to the Primarchs) and countless forerunner ships in their arsenal. Forerunner military Space Ships where at minimum planet busters, like the forerunner cruisers, and at maximum star busters ( like the 100km long fortress-class vessel)
      Hell, the forerunners even had to blow up entire star systems as conventional means to try and slow down the Silentium flood ... And it didn't work.
      Source: Halo Forerunner trilogy series (books)...
      Edit: And the silentium flood would shitstomp even a united Tyranid hive fleet.

      I feel like you forgot to mention the ambush tactics that aliens employ when hunting in confined areas as well as their ability to impregnate off of both living and dead hosts as long as the body isn't badly damaged, getting a mini-mouth through the brain keeps the core body intact. Next you also need to evaluate the most ideal locations for an alien hive to set up and that would be either the trash area, due to similar conditions as the reactor/engineering level of the terraforming facility, or the engineering level of the star destroyer due to being a strong parallel to the terraforming facility on lv426.
      When you factor in the intelligence of the queen guiding her forces, like in comics, its highly likely that the hive could easily have 8 to 9 aliens before a major threat is assessed. Due to the way aliens hunt they would be perfect at accumulating many bodies to produce numbers until the ship is locked down however even when that happens the aliens could over come that based off of messing with the power and being in the engineering level of the ship.
      I feel a lot of things were excluded or glossed over and thus the aliens werent given the proper chance to actually "play" in this mock battle.

Mouse droids could do searches of areas that would be difficult for humans to access, r2 types have sensors other than heat detection that would allow them to find/detect zenomorphs easily at significant distances.
    Star destroyers also have interior anti personnel installations which would help shut down zenomorph infestations.

    Plastoid armor is more than likely to be non reactive to xeno acid. And plastoid armor has a lot of bounce thus tail piercing or biting into the armor may not be possible. Thousands of alien species has been subjugated by the empire, so the if the xenos cannot be put on leash , then they are destroyed. And yes , all the mouse droids on board a star destroyer would have scans for un authorized life forms on board. And yes ,the empire has so many troopers that they just incinerate the infected. And yes, Jubba the hut eats young xenos as we do gummy worms! Star Wars is too alien rich so this is an easy topic to cover. Point being said here is that the worst thing in the universe, the past , present , and or future will still be humans.

      Plastoid composite armor has been penetrated by inhumanly strong species with primitive spears (no not the Ewoks). The Xenomorph tail and teeth, as well as its high strength would be in that category. Storm trooper armor would provide a bit of resilience, but a determined xenomorph would peel the armor off like opening a tuna can. The xenomorph would not need to penetrate the armor to kill in any event. Something that strong just backhanding a storm trooper would snap his neck. Something an unarmed Wookie could do. Armor is great, but it is not all powerful.

Although facehuggers would excrete acid to burn through the stormtrooper’s helmet as evidenced by how the one that attached itself to Kane melted through his helmet to get to his face. However, stormtroopers typically do not operate alone and would receive help from their squad mates. Note how easily the facehugger was prevented from attaching itself to Ripley in the medical bay in Aliens. All it took was the presence of others to pry it off.

    I think you covered most of the bases quite well. The one thing that you didn't mention that could be a turning point for the Xenos is the damage their acid could do to the star destroyer. That was a key issue in the original Alien. Because the ship was a freighter and a cheaply maintained one at that, when the acid we see burned through the floor of the Med bay, it also burned through 3 other floors before it lost potency and did a tremendous amount of damage to the ship. It didn't look like much but in the story the damage was a lot more than a cosmetic hole that now allowed you to talk to someone on the deck below you. They were effectively blinded on 3 decks because of the damage done to the wiring (fibre optics, whatever they had). This caused corridor cameras to stop working and lights to become unreliable. The other problem is that human blood can be cauterized by lasers, this we know. Based on the scene from Alien, Xenos blood doesn't cauterize from the same wavelength of laser light that ours does. If that was the case, there would have been no blood spill on the floor in the first place. So while the stormtroopers are definitely better armed, their better weapons could make the whole situation much worse. Imagine if a shootout occurred and two more drones bit the dust but the damage their spilled blood caused succeeded in cutting power and lighting to half the ship. Now all the advantage is theirs. Add to that the possibility that at least a few sections would be holed to vaccuum requiring isolation protocols to be put in place to contain the ships atmosphere (giving the Xenos what they need more than anything; time and an isolated population to feed off of) and that the aliens tend to instinctively pick the most sensitive areas to set up their nests. We also again and again have no understanding of their biology. "20 cannisters of CN 20...nerve gas the whole...nest" "Worth a shot but we don't even know if it's going to affect them" Taking this into account could make the fight a lot more on the Xenos side.

    Unless of course Xenos don't have midichlorians. Remember; a lack of connection to the Force made the Yuuzhan Vong difficult for Jedi to fight for QUITE a while; until the learned to look for *holes* in the ambient Force energy of a location.

    Like you said, I really think the outcome hinges upon the nature of the hive location. If its cloistered (which the xenos seem to have an affinity for sussing out), or has limited access routes, the xenos might have the means to ambush the limited number of stormtroopers funneled into such a chokepoint. Spare xeno drones would meanwhile make use of such a ship's vast ductwork to consistently snatch hosts from seemingly secure locations and bolster their population. From that point, Id forsee a tipping point in numerical advantage, and a territorial hemorrage occur. Short of Vader walking into the hive to kill the queen personally, I think its more likely that he'd leave the ship, then scuttle and destroy it. Whether stowaway xenos leave with his ship would depend on the nature of the force detecting them.
    One big benefit I could see for the empire, though, is if they have another warship nearby during the beginning stages of the infestation. Should they recognize the location of the hive, they could perform a "surgical" barrage on that compartment were it on the exterior face of the ship.

      I would also question Vader's ability to sense the xenos. They're not like normal animals, they lack emotions, running on pure instinct. Between that and the fear that would begin to take the crew, I think he'd have a hard time pinpointing individual xenos, maybe he'd have a better chance finding the queen. But if she'd have set up in, or the infestation had disabled, the reactor and thus the ship becomes harder to traverse, I think they'd have a better chance than Eck proposes.
      Also, because this is a sci-fi mashup. The audience would already know the separate universes and would know how the chestbursters work. I think that one of the stormtroopers would go to an infirmary, he'd be on an examination table/bed, but the doctor would step out and the xeno would burst through his chest without any witnesses. I think that the crew should be unaware until the xenos have matured and begin to take their first few victims.

      It is utterly crucial for any spaceship, especially a warship to be very compartmentalized. Any part of the ship must be able to be sealed off from the rest of the ship in case of decompression. There cant be a universal duct system or at least not one that cant be compartmentally sealed against hard vacuum. Essentially the strictures of warfare in vacuum preclude any open air or maintenance network that the critters could freely exploit.

      Well I agree to an extent, but this ship has Vader on it, so he is not left alone for the most part due to he has the shadow guard ((Not counting the 501st due to them not always going with Vader)) and they are also force sensitive, so they also have a good chance, and force sensitives can sense things around them, therefore it would be much harder to be ambushed, also lots of star destroyers of this size have death troopers as well which are very trained, skilled, and hard to kill. This fight is a little hard to do with Vader on their side due to him being one of the most powerful sith in the entire galaxy, also their technology was much more advance. Another thing is that the Imperials often don't help injured troopers because in their eyes they have failed the empire, making it unlikely for them to even be back on the ship, because their body would just stay on the battlefield.

    one major problem for the xenos is that basically everywhere in a star destroyer is brightly lit unlike the places in the alien movies
    which would make sneaking up on anyone really hard.

      actually if you discount plot armor and the fact that they had orders to let them escape storm troopers have much better kill ratios then the rebels, the best example is the beginning of episode 4 where the kill ratio is like 3 or 4 to 1 and if you read the books their track record is even better.

    I agree with your conclusions. The initial situation puts things very much in the Empire's paper. I'd be interested in your thoughts on a squad of stormtroopers or death troopers dealing with the situation found in Aliens. Actually, what would be even cooler would be to replace the marines in aliens with the clone troopers known as the Bad Batch.
    I also loved your analysis of the Iron Giant vs. the Imperial forces at the Battle of Hoth. I'd be interested in seeing that same Imperial force attempt to take Hong Kong with resistance from the Chinese military and the jaegers: Crimson Typhoon, Cherno Alpha, and Striker Eureka. The jaegers are much bigger than the Giant but seem to have much less firepower, especially in terms of Ranged weapons.
    I'd love to see a match between a technomage from the Babylon 5 universe against a Jedi. Since each would fluctuate a lot by individuals, I'll suggest Galen vs Asoka Tano at her power levels from season 6 of Clone Wars.
    Finally, I'd like to get your thoughts on the Andromeda Ascendant, fully crewed vs. an ISD, and would also love to know how you evaluate the various slip-fighters Andromeda can deploy.

      Yes but the Predators are Hunters and are bound by honor the only way that would happen is if it's Super Predators as they are bound by no honor code but thier much more powerful then the regular Predators and are the strongest Predator Clan they have dishonorable tactics and are considered bad bloods infact normally if you're sick unarmed injured, or a kid you won't have to worry about a Predator killing you but with super Predators they don't care they will kill any one and anything they want and take its head as a trophey which is considered dishonorable.

    • @ErgonomicChair
      @ErgonomicChair 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      She could also hide in one of the many cargo area's which generally are deserted. And if the tentacle monster thing is capable of finding a place to survive multiple trash compaction... A Xenomorph sure as hell will. And they can survive while submerged indefinitely. Anything its able to get down into would likely be ripped open unless that creature was seriously small, which id didn't seem to be.
      Also, the vacuum of space doesn't necessarily bother Xenomorphs either, they're very pressurized and can survive fine. If the queen in Aliens for instance was on the main deck when the airlock was opened she would have been able to just lock her claws down onto the plating. If given time, she can construct a nest to stay in. Etc. But the main trash compactor (which doesn't crush) actually isn't her only nesting ground. One of the many cargo holds in the area, detention blocks that aren't used while there are prisoners, myriad of spots on a star destroyer that aren't patrolled regularly.

      What I see is SW fans protecting their fav brand. Xenomorph attack from ceilings and floors. The xenomorph will attack in a fashion that the empire has never seen.
      1. Total Control: On Star destroyers there are 2 control rooms. If the main and secondary taken the ship is toast.
      2. Power supply: If the Power Core is severely damaged by acid blood cutting through it the ship is deep.
      3. Hunting: 30,000 personnel on board and 10,000 are combat personnel. That means there are 20,000 opportunities for xenomorph to snatch less armed personnel in less protected areas of the ship. More xenomorph to fight.
      4. The Narrator is telling us xenomorph rely on sound smell and pheromones. Not just one of the senses. The pheromones would likely be used to communicate to other xenomorph territory and paths pack to the hive.
      5. Reputation: Face it. I was a SW fan as a kid but the empire soldiers are not good fighters. Even with 10,000 soldiers they are fighting an enemy that could kill or maim five combatants at a time per one xenomorph kill (plus ship damage) if they engage improperly. Corrosive blood cutting through a pressurized container in space. The ship is damaged. Empire loses.
      6. The Vader effect: I love DV, but he can't be everywhere at once. Platoons of troopers will be defeated in other areas of the ship without his help. Everyone is afraid to fail Darth Vader, but they will learn new fears hunting xenomorph when the lights go out. (Infrared doesn't work on Xeno). Casualties will be astronomical.
      I love this debate because they movies raised me. Xenomorph will die but so does the ship.

    • @marcuspowell8142
      @marcuspowell8142 6 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Mike Werley xenomorph walk on walls and ceilings and strike from crawl spaces in the ceiling. They can also break through floors as displayed in their movies. Star destroyers and other SW ships will likely have very large crawl spaces to attack from.

    • @The_Bad_Guy.
      @The_Bad_Guy. 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Marcus Powell they can attack from ceilings and floors or wherever. There are roughly 10 thousand stormtroopers on board a star destroyer. They will be stationed on all decks and floors and on high alert. If the xenomorphs are in ducts or crawl spaces, they can use scanners to find them. They wouldn't be able to hide or get the jump on the empire if they know they are on board.
