"Lotta Love" was written and recorded by Neil Young before Nicolette Larson's version was released as the lead single from her 1978 album 'Nicolette' 🎶

Man! What's up? I've been playing this song over and over again the last weeks, after losing track of it the last three decades; It came back in my life big time!
And now I see it uploaded everywhere and recommended to me all the time.
I guess it's gonna take a lot of love to get out of this duality thinking dominated, evil current times!
And it's gonna take a lot of love for me personally as well to watch all the sadness unfolding the coming years I feel.
      Lots of love to y'all!

Good tune indeed, but I've got to ask; why would Ike have more than double its embarked complement? You must be including the crews of all the escorts? Now I'm picturing all the 1MCs of all the frigates, destroyers & auxiliaries tied in with Ike's & playing this tune- that would be wicked awesome!

Nicolette Larson died on December 16, 1997, in Los Angeles, California, as a result of complications arising from cerebral edema triggered by liver failure. She was 45 years old. According to her friend Astrid Young, Neil Young's half-sister, Larson had been showing symptoms of depression, and her fatal seizure "was in no small way related to her chronic use of Valium and Tylenol." Two benefit concerts were held in Larson's honor in February 1998. Tribute concerts were held on the 10th anniversary of her death in December 2007 and also the following year.

This song, and everything about it, is a masterpiece - Nicolette's voice, her sexiness, the horns that jump in at exactly the right moment! You can tell a song is great, when you never get tired of listening to it. Certainly the case here..... As soon as I hear those horns, it takes me instantly back to the late 70s, when I was in college. I'm still enjoying my life now, but those were good times.

@@wheezvonklaw284 That is pretty much my point. The 70s and early 80s was pretty much the last generation where artists were truly artists. They wrote their own lyrics and music, they played the instruments and could sing just as well live as they did on their recordings. Nowadays they lip sync. , don’t play any instruments and do not write their own lyrics. Music has changed into something that is no longer music. Rappers use a record as their instruments and pop stars use auto tune and then have to lip sync. Even country music sucks these days. It all sounds exactly the same. There is no individuality or originality. Today it’s about selling a face instead of an artists abilities or talent.

I wish people sang like this today. I watch the singing contests on TV like The Voice, America's got talent, American Idol. And they don't sing like this, it's different. They add too many flourishes and acrobats and I don't know what else.
Why can't people just sing a song just straight forward. A Pure voice and singing.
