    The teeth on your oil filter cap wrench did not appear to be engaged with the oil filter cap.

    Where to buy that same oil filter wrench?

      @William
      I bought the Motivx $24 wrench.
      Make sure you get the right one. There is a smaller one for the 1.8 liter engine.

    Humm
    Batteries are NOT to be over-filled.
    There is a fill mark in each cell.

    That's NOT how you remove the oil filter. You're suppose to remove the center cap first and use the included piece to drain the oil from the filter BEFORE you remove the filter cartridge housing.

      You didn't really expect a oil filter changing video to teach some how it was suppose to be done, did you? 🤔😏

      Yup ! Doing like that so when opening the oil filter will not be dirty.

      @William my tundra has sealed transmission. I haven't gotten any service on that yet. with changing it /Flush has 75,000 miles on the truck. but i change my oil/filter every5-7,000 miles or about every 1-2 months

      @William np problem buddy they say you can change it every 10,000 miles or 3 months but i just like to do that with hot weather hear in florida with 0w20 thin oil!!! i drive about 50-100 miles on normal days. Unless i go out town but i prefer change it every 5-7,000 miles and change filter on every other oil change tundras has great oil filters that last good while. You dont have to change filter every oil change i do every other oil change.. the filters arent cheap around 20-30$ for kit or so

    Well it started out real good then I got sidetracked and started doing other things so if you're gonna make a video on changing oil stick to what you're doing with the other stuff to another video I got bored and left

    Never heard of putting water in a battery. Interesting

      @njsongwriter 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah distilled water. It's rarely necessary in modern batteries and only necessary if the plates in the battery are above the fluid level. (It's not just water but a mixture of distilled water and sulphuric acid.) Never add acid but only distilled water.

      Water is part of the electrolyte in the cells of batteries. He over-filled them. When it gets hot outside and the alternator is charging the battery it will boil that water out past the caps and leak battery acid all over under the hood. The radiator fan will blow it around.

    Is this suppose to be an instructional video or for entertainment purposes only?
    No gloves (started without them but put them on later👍)
    No eye protection
    Did not drain the filter
    Should not use a screwdriver to remove o-rings
    Is there a reason for using high mileage oil?
    I usually don't wear gloves or eye protection either but I'm not making videos about how to do the job correctly.
    I believe you're using the Fram Ultra Synthetic filter... Good choice! I change my oil every 5,000 miles as well but if I was using that oil filter I would only change the filter every other oil change.

      If you're changing engine oil the vehicle does not have to be perfectly level. Transmission is different and more important to fill correctly.
