I've been an SVS fanboy and they are great for home theater. I am now into 2 channel and I am dying to audition a REL.

Great job with the TX line guys. My T5x is astonishingly more powerful and transparent with great texture compared to my previous 5i.

@denny b I’m interested as well. I have (3) T9i and I feel like I’m missing something here. It is that noticeable of a difference?

I can understand how there is such a difference. On paper they are the same spec! Certainly not worth the price increase

Are there any plans for the next T series? I love my T7X and trying to decide what’s the best REL in 2023 to upgrade.
Not looking for more power per se, even T7X is little bit of an overkill for my room.
More clarity, dynamics and speed is what I’m looking for.

Thank you for reaching out. At this time we do not have any plans to update or otherwise replace the current Serie T/x subwoofer models.

@@RELAcoustics Thanks for the reply, so I am guessing S/510 is my next step up or I will keep my T7X until next generation is out, because I love it so much.
Is S/510 much larger in size than T7X?

@@RafaelGrigorian The next direct step up in our lineup from the T/7x is the T/9x, and then the S/510. The S/510 is a noticeably higher performing subwoofer when compared to the T/7x, and is not only more powerful but also has a physically larger cabinet. Complete specs including product dimensions can be found on our REL.net website: rel.net/

John, I just saw Spare Change' video where your rep hooked up a 9x to the center channel. Okay, first, mind blown. Before I hit the buy button, I have a question. (Maybe a silly one) Is my pre/pro sending a full range of sound to that center channel (i.e., 20hz-20khz)?? Would appreciate any info on this. BTW, just bought my first HT and I'm loving the Hell out of it!

I’m ready to upgrade to from t9i’s to 812’s. That being said, the t9x is such a good deal!!

Long time rel owner. I recently did this myself instead of going with the T9/x or the S/510. Didn't want to go for a side-step as much as that may have been unfounded by going with another 10" and spending that much. I honestly preferred my T9/i's for the first 1.5-2 weeks and then everything changed as the drivers loosened up and started to break in. They are a pretty profound difference especially in the lower-midrange, that little notch the T9/i's had was completely gone. 2ch sounds fuller and theater is on a different level. And they keep getting better. 10 days in I was nearly about to pack them up and send them back for T9/x's or 510's but I'm glad I didn't. One thing I will say is REL dropped the ball on the wireless. It was a lot more intuitive and built in with the T/9 and Arrow. Airship while it may be a better quality wireless transmitter, the receiver feels like an afterthought compared to the cheaper T series. And you gotta degrade your high level signal using 99cent stereo RCA interconnects coming out of the airship receiver. The inputs for them are also a bit confusing how they labeled them since they aren't traditional wireless/hi-level and LFE inputs. That's the only thing I'm not 100% happy with. So you need to have another cable going into the wall to power the receiver where as the T receiver is not an afterthought, a direct connection, and gets power as well no interconnects. I got myself some Mogami Pure Patch RR-01's with their excellent wiring to replace those crappy stock RCAs in the wireless receiver and that also was a nice little upgrade as well. Good luck.
