- The German tech tree is one of the largest in all of War Thunder. Germans started building aircraft at the very beginning of the 20th century, and their industry has a very rich and turbulent history. At one point, there was even a split into two major warring camps! Today, though, we are here to celebrate the best designs that Germany has to offer: the fastest, the most agile... and most historically important aircraft!

The biggest problem with the ME 262 in WT is the fact that by the time you actually get the plane its already outranked because its being forced to fight against a whole host of jets that are 20 years newer than the 262.
Tell me about it, it’s real life advantage was that it was faster than any allied planes at the time, though what got it to fail was trying to dogfight normally as it couldn’t out turn most allied fighters.
@@araerevenant5809 And even in the super props you can't get into extended dogfights because a jet will see you from several miles away and steal the kill/kill you.

that would require them to acknowledge germany, but surely the whole staff of war thunder just hates germany as a nation, culture and of course their technology (tanks, ships, aircraft) and just makes it as hard as they possibly could for germany-players. Hilariously obvious.
I love flying the Fw190 A4 especially with its 20mm air target ammo its probably my most favourite German plane yet.

the he 100 d-1 is pretty fun to use at 1.7 because it can reach 650 kph (on paper) and can outrun anything at that br
Yep, it's a low BR Me 262. It's also funny that they mention the Pfeil as it is absolut trash in game.
Has to be my favourite low BR German plane great little bomber interceptor with its bonkers climbing rate and the stock belt is the best belt if you ask my
@@Orodreth888 im a pfeil main player, it takes some time to get used to it but its my favorite aircraft. altough they keep making it worse for no reason and even planes that on paper can surpass 618 km/h will follow you with no problem going 780+ without bursting into pieces. hilarous. also the Pfeil had an explosive mechanism which allowed you to detach the rear propeller and engine in case it got damaged to get rid of the drag and weight, also not featured in the game.

@@marijnverheggen6482 The bf 109 has the highest Kill count of any plane in history by a long shot even. Numbers vary between 30.000 to 50.000 in WW2 alone. It’s very difficult to say as numbers vary widely just as accurate Luftwaffe losses also vary from different sources.
Regardless tho, just the top three German aces of WWII, flying 109s, Hartmann, 352 kills, Barkhorn, 301 and Rall, 275, had a combined score of 928 kills… Just these three German aviators flying the 109 almost exclusively. Fun fact these are literally the three best fighter pilots history has ever seen.
Thirdly the Fw 190 actually has the highest K/D ratio of any plane by quite a long shot and followed somewhat close only by the Bf 109. The Luftwaffe records show that during Operation Barbarossa, German pilots claimed 7,355 kills on the Bf 109, between the seven Jagdgeschwader (JG 3, JG 27, JG 51, JG 53, JG 54, JG 77, and LG 2) for exactly 350 losses in aerial combat, a ratio of just over 21:1. And that is “only” one Operation. The Bf 109 total K/D ratio throughout the war lies somewhat more around the 30:1 - 43:1. Nothing compared to what the Luftwaffe records show on the Fw 190 part of 50:1 - 87:1. Only as high as it is though because the Fw 190s saw not even close as much action as the bf 109s did. The highest K/D of allied planes is actually the P-51 with a K/D of 11:1 - 17:1.

@@HippoDrippo I get where you are coming from, the F15 pretty much has a perfect K/D never having lost even a single plane in combat.
But the F15 is rarely ever being tasked with Fighter missions. There are simply no needs for dogfights anymore they are fairly rare to happen nowadays. The F15 has been deployed in intercepting missions as well as reconnaissance and strike tasks not pure fighter tasks. So it is a very advanced Jet with impressive capabilities, but it is not a fighter and was never meant to be a fighter. If a large scale war was to break out of some sort I am sure the F15 would make a great fighter but again times have changed and the WWII planes just had to have different purposes so planes like the Bf 109, the Fw 190, P-47, P-51 etc. will unlikely ever be dethroned.

Its not that good of a plane , shitty roll and even shittier yaw make this thing a pain to use when you try to aim. Its fine at 7.0. also i can ground pound to a degree with those cannons!!
OP didn't say it was good, just that it was cool. I haven't played the 229, but considering that the 262 is 7.0 and I am regularly told the 229 is worse, I'd assume it does not deserve to be 7.0.
Will you ever add the Dornier alpha jet?
It's optional armaments could make it a decent strike aircraft or with the gun pods even a good fighter.
Technically it could be capable of carrying enough bombs, to be a decent light bomber.

The Ho 229 has to be the only plane which cant be detectet by radar, there was an experiment in the USA where they testet the stealth funktionalatie of the Ho, and they wasnt abel to detect it on less than 200m of range

Imagine if we never had any of the world wars. We'd be so far back on innovation right now. The wars were horrible, but they caused so much innovation, without it, cars and planes really wouldn't look anything like they do today.

it explodes to simulate ammo detonations and scuttling charges, and you cant operate a tank with 1 crew because its just not feasible and would be annoying to fight against

The mirage f1c 200 will have a radar missiel fix ? its dies from 1 cheff and the radar missiel is important in 11.3 and the ir missiel the r530e is slow so will it get someting ?
