The DH Vampire isn't exactly unusual, but it's a jet whose fuselage and wings are almost made entirely of wood. I was given a scrapbook of actual photos taken by a friend's father photo recon squadron during WW2. One is a photo of small factory where the Do 335 was being assembled. It was a low angle side shot taken at low altitude that had 8 or 9 unfinished 335's sitting in a field with the bomb damaged hangers in the background. Three were two seat trainers, seven had both engines and landing gear while one was sitting canted over on the ground. There was around 12 men standing by them looking up at the passing aircraft. The US Army flew one from a German airfield to the coast of France to have shipped to the states for testing. It was escorted by two P-51's so the three pilots decided to have a race to the coast. The Do 335 arrived first and the P-51's showed up 20 minutes later.

While weird, the He-163 and the Ho-229 are so much fun to fly aside from being almost complete opposites and when you aren’t crushing your pilot under 32Gs you can pull some really sharp turns in them
Gotta love how even though Gaijin Entertainment knows the limitations of the German, Japanese, & Russian aircraft.... still makes them far more capable in the game, then they should be, compared to other aircraft. Also love how they give some countries experimental aircraft that never even saw the light of day... and yet prevent the USA country from getting many of its aircraft that were actually flown during WWII, including the XP-79 & the Ryan FR Fireball.... also how they'll take American aircraft like the P-59 Airacomet, and move it from 1942, to 1944. I guarantee if it was a Russian aircraft, it would be in the appropriate era, and be armed with highly-accurate 20-30mm cannons, and be able to do things it never could IRL. Its the same reason why they skip over dozens of American aircraft completely, and nerf them to the point they aren't even recognizable by their handling mechanics, and only look the part cosmetically.
Probably not comrade, no one wanted it cuz it was kind of a crappy plane, i have it and rarely get air kills, plus i think they should keep it as an ultra rare plane
@@samuelplaschko6926 yeah but the problem is the 30mm have little ammo and are not that accurate because of how far apart they are, most of the kills i get with it is only when i do a head on
Biggest issue with the Do 335 is that its a high altitude plane and its nearly impossible to ever get an engagement above 6km so it just really has no actual niche. Below that you're just losing so much of the thrust from those dual engines that you might as well be a brick of a single engine. Even something like the insanely gunned La-9 handles so much better at lower altitudes
weird planes?? the ones that i used and people gave me weird eyes are the hydroplanes that land on sea and thats totally ninja. whats more weird is getting your hydroplane to land on a sea zone and gets hit by torpedo. imagine telling that to your insurance company. oh my plane just get hit by a torpedo. btw, i think they need an ekranoplane for warthunder.
J7W1 was originally designed to accommodate a jet engine purchased from the Germans, but the submarine with the contents sunk, thus J7W1 got just a propeller. It was still the best propeller aircraft design of the war, but Japanese didn't have the production capabilities anyomre, and for suicide runs, the Shinden was too expensive.
Focus on developing your skills when you get shot down ask yourself why you got shot down be it you weren’t looking you engaged a zero in a turn fight with a thunderbolt learn from your mistakes
It helps to use planes with larger guns and belts with more explosive/incendiary rounds, also try to aim for the pilot of the enemy plane if you’re having trouble shooting it down, I know it’s hard but sometimes it’s the only way to kill an enemy. Also I’m assuming you’re still at reserve/low tier planes, make sure you research a plane with more guns or something
As a test flight, my favorite was the XP-55. It was strange, but in my opinion and lack of skill, I think it is the best plane, just surpassing the double P-51.
The F-82 share nearly NO matching parts with the P-51. I know this from a video about someone who rebuilt a derelict F-82. It was not truly a twin, it was a new aircraft entirely.
Shinden is like a being a hunter, stock the pray, make a plan, fly in, make the kill and fly out at high speed. If you deveate from the plan you will get shot down.
The Do-335 crashed into a school in my local area during the war. The Allies captured one of them and sent it to the RAE Farnborough and in 1946 it was still being tested and there was an engine fire and the plane dived into a school 20mins just before 300 children were about to leave for the day no children were killed but the pilot was found dead in the Headmaster's office
I've flown the P-55 and Do 335 and both are amazing aircraft. high maneuverability with some punch, they've served me well in battle, also Bob Semple when?

Yes, i got the Ho 229 V3 as my first jet in game. Its awesome!
last I was this early, the "maus was still a thing" was still a thing
Every time I close War Thunder, I start watching another War Thunder video and decide to open it back up.
Wait did I hear Bruce use imperial measurements on an official page at thunder video? He said 5,000 miles from
Honolulu to New York
Its the superior form of measurement after all.... ( ✧≖ ͜ʖ≖)
@@Nimori Freedom units are proud units.
FYI...The "MK" in MK 108 doesn't stand for mark. It stands for maschinenkanone which just means machine cannon in English. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Are u folks bringing back the bf109Z anytime sooner?
Probably not comrade, no one wanted it cuz it was kind of a crappy plane, i have it and rarely get air kills, plus i think they should keep it as an ultra rare plane
@@masteryoda7900 its not hard to use climb up to 6k and hunt enemys guns are easy to use
@@samuelplaschko6926 yeah but the problem is the 30mm have little ammo and are not that accurate because of how far apart they are, most of the kills i get with it is only when i do a head on
@@masteryoda7900 set gun conv to 600m and use nightbellts
Does more damage and they explode
@@samuelplaschko6926 big brain time
Biggest issue with the Do 335 is that its a high altitude plane and its nearly impossible to ever get an engagement above 6km so it just really has no actual niche.
Definitely
The Tandem MAI kinda looks like an example of why Beechcraft stagger and tandem wings are both rare design choices.
:D small L3
J7W1 was originally designed to accommodate a jet engine purchased from the Germans, but the submarine with the contents sunk, thus J7W1 got just a propeller. It was still the best propeller aircraft design of the war, but Japanese didn't have the production capabilities anyomre, and for suicide runs, the Shinden was too expensive.
Q: Everytime I play aviation I get shot down so quickly but my shots do nothing to the other player :/ what can I do?
play russia stalin will do the trick
Dont do heads on
Focus on developing your skills when you get shot down ask yourself why you got shot down be it you weren’t looking you engaged a zero in a turn fight with a thunderbolt learn from your mistakes
make sure ur using the right belts for ur guns
It helps to use planes with larger guns and belts with more explosive/incendiary rounds, also try to aim for the pilot of the enemy plane if you’re having trouble shooting it down, I know it’s hard but sometimes it’s the only way to kill an enemy. Also I’m assuming you’re still at reserve/low tier planes, make sure you research a plane with more guns or something
As a test flight, my favorite was the XP-55. It was strange, but in my opinion and lack of skill, I think it is the best plane, just surpassing the double P-51.
this vid is basically GeRmAn BiaS
Another aircraft is the BV 141 which should be added to the game. I love the asymmetrical design of the aircraft.
6:36 "Enough firepower to even shred through some tanks"
Not since you nerfed the belts, cant have Germany winning, right?
I actually have the do 335. I love ground striking with it. Especially with the b1 varient.
The most unusual thing every new update the game becomes even worse...
Walter and Reimar Horten were employees of Gothaer Wagenfabrik when they designed the Go229 for the company they worked for to build hence the Go
Remove the r3 from 4.0 to 7.0
Is this a new channel on TH-cam? I'm already hooked by this chapter.
bruh, no
First
The XP-55 Ascender and the J7W Shinden are my favorites of the list. I just want to fly em and do stunts and have fun. Wish there was a race course.
The "steel arrow" is my favorite
I love the Xp 55 even in turnfights not only for BnZ.
I just like to watch these in hope of some cool scenes of planes shooting each other down.
The F-82 share nearly NO matching parts with the P-51. I know this from a video about someone who rebuilt a derelict F-82. It was not truly a twin, it was a new aircraft entirely.
I love the Me 163, it is great for anoying 9.0 planes😁
You guys need some of the more insane Payen designs

Dababy convertible less go 0:31
Shinden is like a being a hunter, stock the pray, make a plan, fly in, make the kill and fly out at high speed.
F-82 + gun pod + tracer belts = *laser pointer of death*
Amazing video! The Tandem MAI is my fav.
1:48 that’s actually ingenious
ho-229 turns really sharp
stall has left the chat*
Got all of them besides the tandem
XF5F skyrocket and XP-50 are funky and pretty darn good as well tho
I've played War Thunder for over 700 hours. I have seen the Tandem MAI exactly once, and I've never seen the Bf109z.
I've flown the P-55 and Do 335 and both are amazing aircraft. high maneuverability with some punch, they've served me well in battle, also Bob Semple when?
P38: wow you are Chibi
Shindon: nu don't care
B2: boo
Shindon: AHH YES
B2: I should have saw that coming
