Ordered mine on Amazon and I plcaced the order on Thursday and they showed up Saturday both of 5hem the G Wagon version and the Power Wagon version. Got one for my father to try out.
Yeah they were taking forever when they first released. I actually sold mine already lol. This one I stole the axles for an Scx24 based build and the Jeep I sold.
The center caps for the wheels go on pretty hard. You have to press them down with firm pressure as you twist them on. Once you get the first couple threads to catch they spin on decent. If you run on natural rock they do protect the threads.
Got my x3 in black today. Nothing but troubles at first. Swapped out Esc for Furitek and threw in a 3s battery. Trial and error messing with the settings on esc and now it is working great. Removed spare tire, flipped over the servo and linkage and made a few minor adjustments. My tricked out scx24 has a run for its money now
Good luck with that. It can be done but it's not easy. You would need a fabricated shock mount, your SCX24 diff gears and a different bushing for the axle input shaft. The T24's gears are reversed and the input shaft is a larger diameter.
With RC boom in the last couple years and with the 1/24 scale being so hot I can't understand why it took so long for a company to come out with a 24 scale crawler that has functional light control and portals with oil shocks and beadlocks. I really do think Axial got fat and happy with the success of their scx24s and we're just resting on our their laurels and put everything into developing the SCX6 while I guess Traxxas is so successful overall in RC trucks that they don't feel like making money in the micro scale market which I can't understand for the life of me. But I bet between this truck and all of the FMS 18scalers we will see something the Big boys ( Axial, Traxxas, Redcat, Element, maybe Losi) this spring. I'm done bitching lol Thx for for showing the truck to us!!
I did a deep dive into my Tetra 24 for my channel. Almost everything on it has an issue that needs corrected, even the portals. I found three major issues with them and a couple of things that are just unfortunate. To bolt them onto an SCX24 would take a lot of work, probably some 3D printed parts, and a different bearing for the driveshaft input. It could be done but it probably isn't worth it. The suspension joints were all frozen and it had major clearance issues everywhere. It has no bearings anywhere. Only bushings. I could go on but I won't here. It's all in my video. It takes nearly two hours to show you how many things are not good and how to fix it. The tires do seem good though. ; )
Yeah I haven’t even pulled mine apart yet. Been working on another Scx24 build (felt it was more important) even though this thing is brand new. I’m gonna replace all of the bushings in mine with bearings and go through it soon hopefully. Got a lot more stuff on the way I need to test so who knows when I’ll get to it lol. I appreciate the info and I’ll definitely check out your vid! Im getting more and more let down on it and I haven’t even given it much time yet 😆
Is it me or it turns better than scx? I mean more wheel angle. And please do give those shocks solid test and how they fit in scx, I’d love a proper oil option for mine
Haven’t found anything worth jumping from the SCX24 platform for 1/24 scale rigs. For all the reasons you say at the end, plus, once you go all in may as well keep parts compatibility between them all. Makes building easy.
Put a stock scx24 esc in it and try it. Did it to my enduro24 and it was night and day. It will run off and leave my scx24s and will pop a wheelie if you gun it sometimes. Lol
From the facebook group called panda tetra 24 the esc seems to be the issue for the lag or twitchiness. Some have said that the 1/18th esc makes the car run much smoother. Awesome video. I might save my money this round and see what the future holds.
@@donaldsneffe i was really looking into that esc you showed in that video and like it a lot i just was thinking i needed more powa i still have the stock 51t motor
I hope they will get a lot of aftermarket support. I love how the power wagon looks in combination with the shocks and the portals, on paper it should outperform the SCX24. Going to get one and hope for upgrades and brushless conversions.
Looks decent but for some reason panda hobby always has a toy grade feel. Steering and throttle seem very twitchy on just about all their cars, suspension geometry looks pretty similar to an scx24 though so it could have some potential
Heck yeah man! You got some good vids on it. Just checked & subbed! Can’t wait to start modding mine. I have the Jeep coming also. Lots of stuff planned for them. Just gotta find the time to get it done lol.
Yes! I plan to dive deeper into it and check things like that. I did check the driveshafts and the scx24 ones won’t fit over the end of the worm gear shaft (T24 shaft is larger) so they have to be slightly different I would think.
Sweet! Great video about it. I just got the tetra x1t at Christmas and after some modifications it’s very capable. Those shocks are great, I did lower the body and trimmed it, I also put a furitek lizard esc in and it fixed the slow crawl problem and noises esc the stock one made. I hooked it up to the stock esc so I can still use the stock transmitter
Looks decent... Have to know where you got the wheels and tires for the GraveDigger in the background though. I bought a set a few years ago and have not been able to find them anymore.
Really pleased I've found your channel never heated of the pandas I'm now going to look for them this one looks awesome thank you
Another great detailed video

Nice!!! Very cool see you got one. I want to get one but will land up with 3 of them!!!🤣🤣🤣
Lol well I kinda have 2 already 😆. Just haven’t received the other one yet
How much is carried over from 18s? Also does iit appear to be more of a Scx24 clone?
Nice mat, lol I got the same one works great for the mini crawlers / mini cars
I love it! Perfect size and great for all of the soldering I do also

Haha to funny!! Amazon pushed my order out so I Found the same Ebay seller and it came right away!! Great minds LOL
I bet those axles will swap with the scx24.
my thoughts exactly !

Iv got right into the smaller scale rc's, and your channel with your honest thorough reviews, Keep it up , thanks for sharing
Really appreciate the comment! Will do!!

Someone on the Facebook Panda group installed an SCX24 brass diff cover on this and it fit perfect!
I seen that! Can’t wait to get rolling with the mods on mine.

Lol yeah I just did that today. Actually about to post a vid about a couple options and wheel fitment hopefully.
@@2fmrc looks like they used the scx24 as a guide. The frame rails, links and link mount/trans mount. Lol

The 1/18 Panda ESC is the worst ever...

Yep. I am not sure how much potential it has though.

Can you See if they are the same worm gears as scx24

front axle, are there still dogbones? or do they have a CVD?
Not sure why every flippin channel seems to always overlook the steering components on all rc stuff. Yes we do care thanks

The body is awesome
Hopefully it has the same hexes as the scx24 so we can swap wheels and such
Yep! Same hex. Just gotta make sure the wheels clear the portals. I’ll be touching on some of that in my next vid with it.
Looks like a good 1:24 addition.
I'd be taking off the following to try on my SCX24:
Shocks
Body Magnets
Portals
i want these axles sold separately, i do have the jeep coming though 😁🚙. and uh, traxxas, where ya at?
Are we going to start seeing the brushless conversions 😄 👍
I wasn't thrilled with the driving capability.
I like this Version preferable in Green color. Does anyone know where to order in Europe? Thanks
There is no distribution currently in Europe. Asked Panda Hobby on their Facebook group for this already. But it seems that they are working on it.
Banggood will get it to the UK/Europe no problem by the looks of it.
EDIT: Sorry, I was looking at the 1/18th scale.
Waterproof electronics?
They say water resistant which means no lol. I’m taking them out anyway 😆
Looks decent... Have to know where you got the wheels and tires for the GraveDigger in the background though. I bought a set a few years ago and have not been able to find them anymore.
eBay! I actually just did a vid on the Grave Digger build.
