    I have to like a video that features Italy so heavily 😁
    I already imagined myself living there, attending courses at the local, prestigious university... I liked the apartment - a bit on the dark side but not overly so - but I see it more as a bachelor pad than a family apartment. I definitely would need the child's bedroom as my own studio.
    The only thing missing appears to be a balcony? I can't live without a good balcony...

    • @TokyoPortfolio
      @TokyoPortfolio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Say you were considering moving to Japan, I know from the Trash Taste Boys that there's a bit of a problem for foreigners wanting to rent.
    The boys said it's easier to get your company to do it all for you, but what if you were to go to Japan as a freelancer?
    Is there agencies that specialise in foreigners? Programs to assist in accomodation for foreigners? Anything of the like?
    Because when I've saved enough, I want to go live in Japan for a year or so, surviving off of savings, that way I can freely travel Japan for an entire year and not worry about work.
    Naturally, renting an apartment would be cheaper than hotels every night.
    So what would your suggestion in this regard be?

    • @TokyoPortfolio
      @TokyoPortfolio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I have exactly that -- a real estate agency that primarily deals with non-Japanese clients. I can help you once you arrive in finding a place to live.

    That's not a million dollar balcony view. For over 1 million dollars it should have 3 bedrooms imo.

      The price per square foot/square meter in central Tokyo is very high, so $1m does not get you that much in terms of view or bedrooms

      @@TokyoPortfolio well 2 bedrooms should be standard for a family apartment. It's weird how a lot of Japanese apartments only have 1 bedroom. Where are the kids supposed to sleep? There's no study or office space. This is one of many reasons why Japanese have few kids nowadays.

    I'm a big fan of Japan, but this doesn't impress me at all. I'd rather buy a traditional farm house.

    Dude has a kitchen like that and uses canned spaghetti sauce? That kitchen needs a cook who will put those appliances through their paces with fresh ingredients and homemade recipes, not to reheat mass produced blandness.

      Hey, sometimes you just want to eat spaghetti and don't want to worry about washing, chopping and sautéing ingredients, then waiting until they get reduced (but not burned) all while making sure your kid doesn't run into a wall.

      @@TokyoPortfolio If I serve someone a meal I cooked it has to be from scratch, when they ask what's in the sauce I don't want the answer to be "I dunno". It's like having a 1957 Goldtop Les Paul on display but you don't play guitar, it blasphemy.

    It looks like a hotel. :( You may think it looks nice and yeah it is nice, but it's more like hotel nice. Not living style nice.
