    I love this channel! I recently decided that I wanna move to Japan and your channel is one of my favorite by far! The cameraman thing where you talk to him and sometimes interact I've seen that in other home tour channels as well, but I really like your dynamic here, like that one time you both got in the bath tub lol You're kinda chaotic which is to say the least unussual for this type of content, and you make it work really really well. Your videos are funny without loosing too much focus, and they're very informative as well, like showing the blueprints is a really nice touch.
    Keep at it man! I'm actually subing. Would love to see the ocassional regular apartment/home, middle class stuff and all, for the regular people. Just ocassionally. Also weird stuff like that one house that had a tiny house inside, that was actually dope lol

    Excellent improvements! Could you add text at the beginning of the video showing how many bed, bath, square meters, price, etc. Helps to get a feel of the scale of things. Also showing the square meters of each room in the diagram would be cool.

    The place is pretty nice for Japan, I can understand the price given the luxuries provided such as location, appliances, amenities, etc. But what I cannot understand in the slightest is the astronomical monthly fees. You mean to tell me that someone living there has to pay $1500+ for essentially having access to a "lounge" and having a clean building. No gym, no pool, nothing... Highway robbery!!!

    • @NaeniaNightingale

    For a lot of people who aren't familiar, those air conditioning units are most likely Mitsubishi VRF mini split units that is connected to the large multi zone compressed out on the patio. The zoning makes the temperature perfect for each room. Some good and not so good things, as typical in Japan, the ceilings are always too low and many of the built in components can be a problem as they age. Overall, an excellent place and reasonable considering the prices in that part of Tokyo, the most desirable in my opinion. Would hate the kitchen however and use a Japanese toilet myself which are the best.

    • @xr6lad
      @xr6lad ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Split systems are common the world over. In Australia all apartments have split systems and not building wide. Building wide doesn’t make sense. My apartment has one. And my country house has two (one in the bedroom and one in the lounge). Each with their own outdoor unit.

    Really nice place, very western.
    4 mil is a tad high for this as itself but since it's Roppongi i can see the price being raising by quite a bit. Looked at the area in G.maps and it seems it's also a quiet area at least from the afternoon till morning.
    Things I wish were talked about in the video are if the apt has parking or other amenities in the building.

    • @TokyoPortfolio
      @TokyoPortfolio  3 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      The only amenities the building has is a garage and the first floor lounge -- it's hard to find low-rise buildings with many amenities here due to space constraints.

    I like how this one is far less about showing off wealth and more about making a comfortable home. Some nice greens outside, very functional electronics (I'm surprised the airco didn't have the same treatment) and the kitchen with living space is amazing. The kitchen feels very western european. The appartment layout is a little cluttered though, much hallway and doors. Still, it seems expensive for what you get, I wonder how much it would be today though. (Did places like this get cheaper due to the exchange rate?)

    It seems to be around the same kitchen issues I had in China, no dishwashers, no ovens, and such. I did not have a voice controlled grill. My god that is so freaking cool. I had no grill at all, and my limited knowledge about it seems to be a Japanese thing.
    The dryer is really normal in higher costs home in China. Even drying closets with infrared lighting that turn on once the cabinet is closed. So your plates are kept "bacteria free" completely idiotic and waste of energy but everybody have their superstition.

      You almost never see fridges included in properties for sale or rent in Japan

    I have yet to see a property better than the one he showed Chris broad the first time. Maybe the one with the second floor made by the owners or Apa hotel but besides those some are just a mess with the positions of something. Sometimes underwhelming for it's price

    Great video, as usual. I'd love to see more furnished apartments though.
    Btw, do you know any "author apartments" or "architecture apartments" in Tokyo?

      They're hard to find, but I'm always looking for one to film. Keep a lookout on my channel for some in the future.
