You're killing fish if you're pulling them up from 35' especially in the heat and letting them go. Might as well harvest them. Well they swam off you might say. Yeah but probably ended up belly up anyway.
Not enough people are as happy as they should be but I can say from what I have seen you are one of the people that are as happy as they should be

Hey Roger! How long of a leader from the crankbait to the weight? Also how much line you letting out to get that deep?
I'm running about a 5 foot 12lb leader. I'm trolling about 1.5 mph and letting out 85ft of lead core line.
