I had the pleasure to see the progress of this very unique piece as well as the honor of helping Tom install the final piece in the owner's home.

Cool idea for beams. Can't wait to see what they turn into.

    Tom,
I liked the design of your headboard so much that I made one for our guest room. Wish I could include a picture in this post but, it looks fantastic. I also really like this wire brushed finish so much that I've used it on several other projects in my wood shop ... including a memorial flag displace case for my Dad, utility stand for a drill press and a joiner's mallet. I mounted the wire brush on a radial arm saw, set the height, etc to enhance consistency and reduce some of the tedium associated with making so many wood tiles.
    Great video, thanks for sharing.

R Talbot Thank you Richard, I am so glad to hear you enjoyed it all enough to take it in to your own bag of techniques. I would love to see photos if you get a chance, my email is tom@epicwoodworking.com.
As you might have noticed, I love the creative process and warmth of expression possible using wood as a medium...sounds like we are cut of the same cloth!
      My Best, Tom

@EpicWoodworking how fortunate you were able to get those beams! I've never worked with chestnut...is it possible to use it for lamination to get bigger pieces?
