  • Hi Guys,
We have made an attempt to do a travel vlog for the first time which includes food, fun and other activities as well. Recently we visited Singapore which is undoubtedly one of the most amazing cities in the world. Right from mind-blowing adventure at the zoo, mouthwatering food, roaming around the city to universal studios, sea aquarium and a lot more. We went on a short trip of 4 nights and 5 days and we had an amazing experience, one we would cherish for life!
We will take you all each single day, the activities we did, food we enjoyed, some tips, do's and don't....so stay tuned.
ENTIRE PACKAGE WAS CURATED & PLANNED BY THOMAS COOK. www.thomascook.in/ for more details. DM me if you need to directly speak to the Sales person for any of your tour requirements (both group & customized tours). We got the best deal from them and the best part was that the visa formalities were completed within 2-3 days where other travel agencies either refused to go ahead with the visa or asked for more time like 8-10 days.
This is our Day 0 vlog - Goa to Singapore
On this day most of the time we were traveling but yet that's one thing we enjoy equally as well. Departure of our Indigo flight (www.goindigo.in) from Goa to Mumbai was at 6.45 am so to wake and reach at the airport we started at around 4.30am. Landed Mumbai at around 8:35 am and we headed to Terminal 2 as our departure to Singapore via Air India. www.airindia.com/
Our flight to Singapore was a t 1.25pm in the afternoon so we took a bus to Terminal 2. Guys you do not have to book a cab to Terminal 2 or vise versa. There is a bus service available right outside the Terminals which allows you easy shuffling between the terminals.
We reached Singapore at around 9:45pm Singapore time. It was around 5hr 50 mins flight and was a pleasant one. The food was up to the mark and we loved the sweet dish that was served. After reaching the Singapore Terminal 1 we proceeded towards the Arrivals for Immigration. There are huge signages which easily guide you to the Immigration. The Immigration is a flawless process where you need to enter a few details about yourself as mentioned in the passport along with other details like your day of departure, hotel/home address, contact etc.
This is by far the best immigration we have been through unlike Dubai where we had to queue up and and it took us around 45 mins to get through the immigration process.
Within 15 mins we were across the immigration, once that was done it was time to pick up our luggage and head towards the exit. As per the plan our private transfer was ready to take us to our hotel. It was a 20 mins drive to Outram, Holiday Inn Atrium. rb.gy/hul2gu - The hotel is just wonderful with spacious rooms, well air-conditioned. We got the 2+1 bed so it was even better. The bed was really relaxing with firm and soft pillows, the view from the 11th floor was amazing. we also had a bath tub....wow!
We did not waste anytime, freshened up and headed out to explore as we heard that Lau pa sat, which we also know as the Hawkers Center was not too far from our hotel. We immediately booked a cab using the Grab app. Very easy and convenient way of booking cabs and ordering food online just like our Swiggy and Zomato. We reached Lau pa set in like 10 mins and paid around 12SGD.
Lau pa set - You can explore a lot of variety of local food. Also the World famous Satay Street is something we could explore. We loved the Fruit tart at Butter & Cream, marshmallow Donut and the Oreo cup cake. We also loved the Satay. We tried the Shrimp and the Chicken Satay a mix of sweet and spicy flavor's. We also enjoyed the authentic Egg fried rice along with Singapore Chilly chicken. You have to visit this place and taste this amazing street food.
We also visited the Seven Eleven store and got some chips, chocolate, ponchos and also bought the Sim card with a validity for 5 days and I paid 14SGD for the same. It is very easy to activate this card as all the steps are provided behind the card pouch. Refer and get it done easily.
    TIPS
    - Buy a Poncho or Umbrella as it rains without a notice and it can rain for hours.
    - Buy your SIM CARD from any of the Seven Eleven stores across the city
    - Install the Grab app for Taxi booking and Food delivery (rb.gy/5rmcty)
    - Install the Klook app for your activities like visiting Sentosa, Universal Studio, Sea Aquarium etc. (rb.gy/dsnu13)
    - Carry a lot of tissues, wet wipes, water when you are moving around. Keep yourself hydrated as it very hot and tend to sweat a lot
    - Be prepared to walk a lot.
    - Plan your departure well to explore the Terminal 1 - Changi Airport

Don't be surprised if you find goa more expensive than Singapore. (especially shack food prices)

Singapore was equally expensive but there are budget-friendly places like the hawker centers. You are right about the food prices at the beach shacks! 🙂
