    The 777-9X is in the certification process already! Isn’t that good news? Somehow, a negative story is milked out of a positive thing. So much for non biased reporting-

      Certification doesn't take 2 weeks. It takes many months and during that time problems may be identified. He already said about the 777x starting certification last week but it's still news if airlines are skeptical

      @@Thesmellofrain-h6o so why are you moaning about biased reporting then if it's "just an airplane"? You should be complaining to the airlines who are the ones being skeptical of the EIS date, not to the guy reporting the news. Do you complain to the Seattle Times who also said the same thing?

    What specific engine problem did you found?

    • @neilpickup237
      @neilpickup237 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe that it is to do with contaminated raw materials resulting in a ridiculously short service life.
      It is the sheer volume of engines requiring the fix, which is the problem.
      Fortunately, this problem is restricted to those engines with parts manufactured from the contaminated materials and is fixed once those affected parts are replaced, rather than a design flaw.

    Tim Clarke is annoying as hell. This is what happens when your airline is so dependent on the defunct a380 & then 777. Are they going to complain on a monthly basis? Boeing is conducting certification flights now, so not sure what else Boeing can do.

    • @jgnclvgmng5408

      He was dumb to have chosen those airplanes, but yes he's right to complain. He bet the future of his company on a product from a manufacturer that has been lying, incompetent, careless, selfish, among other nice things.
      Of course, he should have just say that there's no issue if the planes only come out on the 2030's...

    Sir Tim has gone all-in on B777X & will have to accept the well documented delays. He chose not to order A350-1000 for his own concerns & would now be well down the queue if he changed his mind to mitigate said delays or even further ones. He has ordered A350-900`s so could perhaps switch to the larger model if he needed to. I doubt though there will be further delays on B777X & imagine he`ll be rewarded with an aircraft that was well worth waiting for. I still think he needs to get on the A350-1000 band-wagon all the same IMHO the defacto replacement for his work-horse B777-300ER.😁

    Boeing still expects first Delivery in 2025. If the CEO of Emirates says early 2026 for EIS then it wouldn't be Lufthansa or Qatar. They have to be the first. Lufthansa will follow unless Lufthansa are first. But these deliveries would commence either Oct, Nov or Dec. Just more scared thoughts about the company without knowing what could happen to be a miracle.
