    Badass trucks for sure but digging them up, in that condition means there is a lot of work to be done.
    Can not wait to see the transformation of these beasts!!

    My grandpa had a '39 flatbed, model unknown, dual rear wheels that we hauled hay on. It had a two speed rear end with a manual shift lever. I learned to drive on that truck when I was 14. I had to almost lay down in the seat to shift the rear end. That was in 1959. It was in sad shape but it would haul hay from the field to the barn, about 3 miles one way, 84 bales at a time. No doors, seat consisted of a burlap feed sack full of pine straw. He also had a '47 pickup with a flat bed. I wish I knew where they went or if they are still in one piece. Loved those two old trucks. Of course all his tractors were IH as well.

    Man, that's some heavy iron! I never saw an axle with springs both above and below it. Yowza! I'm not even gonna ask if the transmissions are synchronized. I know!

    WOW!! these are going to be so awesome back on the road. I have to look around and see if there are any out here in Pa. I have been looking for an old Euclid . The kind that was working on the turnpike when I was a kid. Those big old Internationals are probably best preserved out there in Texas where it is a bit drier than here with the four seasons.

    Great job saving them, I have never seen a stack of leaf spring like the first one loaded. Good Lord!!!!

    I hope their put right mechanically and oiled up and enjoyed. That's what I did with my 1935 F30. Too cool to restore.

    Very nice seeing them saved instead of crushed I have two '73s and a '48 and still going every chance I have to keep them away from the crusher makes my day better thank you

    Wait, I thought this channel was all about buying old scrap Internationals, fixing them up to be road worthy and then driving them home. I R disappointed.
    I love old iron like that. Glad to see they're going to a good home.

    Those engines look very similar to the R6602 continental engine that are in my 1954 five ton army trucks.

      ​@BareKnuckleBinder Maybe, but absolutely still cool as all get out! I can definitely see the origins of modern oilfield trucks there.
      Sometimes these old field finds deserve the in depth walk-around immediately after recovery- VERY COOL!

    Dumb question.... Wouldn't of been easier to pick it up with the forks and set truck on trailer. That dude is a beauty.

      Not a dumb question at all. Truth is, both trucks were waaaaay too heavy to lift like that. Loader could barely handle one end of either.

      @@BareKnuckleBinder ok thanks getting back to me. I looked up specs it says 15000 lbs it will lift. I didn't think the truck would be over 15000 lbs.

      @@bombardier3qtrlbpsi the first truck was about 15k. Maybe those specs were in ideal conditions? I don’t know, I just remember that loader doing all it could to get that truck to even move.

    I think 🤔 the tires 🛞 have lost some air pressure. Just a few pounds you’ll be fine those are old tires and can take t abuse. 👍

    I want to apologize for not being of help. Simply put, raised by parents that were up in years and a town too small to get into troubles as everyone was your parent so a a** whopping was given at the time and then dad would wear his arm down taking out any frustrations. I lived in a logging town that was huge in the day and many old internationals or sterling trucks, a few FWD's and autocars. Mostly international trucks like the K11 or even bigger ones. They had any engine available put in them to make them move and a half a mile to the gallon was very common mileage. One old lowboy truck needed a fuel truck to follow it because its mileage was in feet per gallon,.. fuel costs were kind of high considering what they were before the war. WW2 is the one I refer to. So gas was nine cents at the pumps and at the fuel depot, you saved by the hundred gallon mark and if you took a thousand gallons at a time, it would be four and a half cents a gallon. I apologize for not being sure on diesel but do remember that off road diesel was two cents a gallon. I really think if International had made cars, they might of been the biggest company around.
