The gimmick of the flood aside, this track makes for legitimately good racing. It's mostly "normal" sections that reward conventional technical driving superiority, but the "traps" and offroad sections inject just the right amount of design compromises, chaos, and unpredictability to prevent any one driver or vehicle build from dominating.
Brazen accidentally creating an interesting RtF variant: Race the Floor, and THEN you King of the Hill at the end. So you have to not only survive the flood, but hope your vehicle can still fight in the end. Makes weight/power even MORE interesting for the ending potential!
It's basically one of the first things Amy and Joe ended up doing when prototyping the game mode, even ;) And you can always trust the king of lemon scented chaos to make things interesting

Elimination races where crashing or having the timer expire on the track while the dead cars remain as obstacles on a dangerous track, who ever is last standing wins, dirty driving is encouraged! Would be super fun to watch
Considering how much you have to slow down to make that covered bridge at the end, You should check to see if it's actually a shortcut or not. See how long it takes to go around vs go through. And You can't just start there, you have to start from a bit back so you approach it at speed.
What I would love to see is a marathon edition on the race the flood format. Yk what's coming up when I say 'marathon': full distance from the bottom to the top on the crater. Maybe one run less for the vid and a lot more focus on easy to drive cars (or the guys with the 'yolo' cars who are gonna crash quickly but get far ahead before doing so xD)
You should really make a racing series with regulations on what kind of vehicle you are allowed to build. That would be interesting. One example in short: - Maximum power-to-weight ratio of 300hp/1000kg, maximum of 5 liters of fuel included. - All driving aids (ABS, ESP, etc.) must be disabled - No four wheel drive cars, but you are allowed to convert a FWD car into RWD if possible. - No nitrous or other similar boost systems - Maximum tire width of 255 mm (10")
Sounds oddly like what Joe's going for with the Halfshafts car build challenge ... though Alex is no stranger to that kind of thing with Automation car competitions and such in the past. It's a good formula really - limitations breed creativity.
The bastion is a trade mark last vehicle race at this point. We're all expecting it whenever he does the last race, so seeing it before that would be weird.
how about switching the map some video ? i would really like to see these races on some other maps like Italy for example really enjoy this series btw. :D

could someone make a mod thats like a Fixed camerra track that runs parallel to the course, so you could set your camerra on its and watch the group while yo dont have to worry as mucha bout all 3 dimensional trave? Like a massive Camera dolly that runs parallel to the course, but allows for camera movement of looking perpendicualr to the track, but can be moved "along" the dolly with just some simple keys so that being commentating races is easeir?
WOLOLO (this video started life as a livestream but the races were good enough that both Alex and Amy turned them into discrete videos ... so some stray donation sounds snuck in, as they get played on the same logical channel as the game audio on Alex's PC, even though the stream chat is on a different one and thus now absent, replaced by the rerecorded commentary)
Beam is usually filming crew only and limited in numbers involved due to stability and computer issues. Done members of the community may host events in Beam that you can join.

Think it might not be able to encode as efficiently on the fly as when there's extra processing time available so that issue may hang over for a bit until it's properly replaced. However unless it was cut together in Studio (unlikely because of multiple soundtracks?), this should have appeared to the system the same as any other uploaded-in-full video and I would expect Alex probably encodes his videos in the format YT expects for HD stuff so it can put it straight into use... so if anything the lower quality ones should have taken longer to appear? Weird.
