nice work one of my favorite videos yet, get a 6 weight fly rod you will not regret it, I use a reddimgton predator rod 9' 6" 6 wt. great rod for small stream conditions.
i really like your unedited hang ups lol we all do it lol i have actually cut line off at reel ... retied fished area then went back to retrieved lure just not to blow up a spot and get one money cast
Love these videos! Is it mostly private waters where you fish? I ask that because I've always found it hard to find that many quality fish on public lands. Not enough people practice catch and release on big trout like that, glad you're setting an example for everyone to see.
Actually the majority of water that I fish is not posted ground! I do have a few streams that I fish that are posted ground, but the landowners mainly have it posted for hunting purposes. I just knock on doors and generally people are very open to fishing. Appreciate the compliments & glad you’re enjoying them! 👌😁🤙 I need to get on the ball & get some more made…… I’m sitting on content for years! Lol🎣
Have you ever thrown jerkbaits for trout? Thats how we target the bigger wilds here in Michigan. I have been tossing around the fly rod and streamer idea for the last few months myself.
I have thrown a handful but never actually caught a big one on them, I may actually start running them a little more though, I’ve got a handful of big ones that are being very temperamental to my offerings, maybe I should switch it up a little! Again lol
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 You definitely should! If they are hitting streamers they will hit a jerkbait. Don't do a straight reel. Twitch and rip on the retrieve and you will get some for sure!
How much for a guide. I use a 4’6” ultra lite st.croix with 4 lb test. Id love to have a go at these huge browns. I live in south eastern Pennsylvania right outside Philly. Name your price.
Don’t ya realize the video is better than the picture and better for the fish to survive and you can always screenshot a picture from the video of you holding the fish so you have multiple pictures to get from the video u only have to hold it up to camera once and let it go it is pretty simple to watch and screenshot from lmao 🤣
@@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 Hope that will help ya . Won’t drop anything in the water and a lot less effort . You will have some amazing screen captures from the footage you shoot. You do a great job . I can’t wait to find some nice wild brown trout streams like those. Not many around western Maryland south west pa area . People tend to catch and keep them all around here smh 🤦♂️
I’m not sure what kind of knowledge you think you have about trout, but they were definitely not out of the water too long, especially when the water is cold like it is here and when I only fight the fish for a few seconds and then land them…..keeping them in the water the whole time until I lift them out for a few seconds at a time putting them back in the water after each pic…..If the water is on the warmer side then I would say yes, but it is not in this case, they were all released perfectly fine because I catch most of them the next year to prove it! Great opinion but bring some facts to the table if you wanna argue the next time….. 👌
Yeah some of those millionaires in the movies do the same thing…… only difference is they’re acting…… I’m Not!!! But yeah….. it’s not perfect, emotions take over & I say things….. at least it’s not the F Bomb all the time but I’m working on getting better at not cursing as much! 🤷♂️ Thanks for the opinion though! 👍
@chasingthewildwithdustyrho2620 Everyone's a critic. SMH. It's easy to get caught up in a adrenaline rush when you have a massive fish on, or when you get caught off guard like you did under bridge. That was awesome, BTW!
You and all of America are very welcome!!!! Lets go Dusty!!!!!
Another awesome day fishing Dusty and a few beauties landed, tight lines, thumbs up and hello from NZ, Tony.

Very possibly & hopefully sooner than later 🤷♂️😁🎣
is this connected to a larger river? those are some big fish in small water
No these are basically just upper reaches of good watersheds & tributaries of tributaries! 👌
Holy hell
