Trip Recap: First 2 hours of trolling. Total 10 Skipjack and 3 White Bass caught trolling. Last 2 hours Ultralight fishing. 19 fish caught, 4 White Bass, 1 Small Mouth Bass, 13 Bluegill, 1 Channel Cat 140 casts, 1st fish 6th cast, 3 - 2 fish streaks, 6 Gulp Minnows used, 1 jig lost in fish.
The highlight of my week! I listen as i fish! No more fishing alone. I love having a fishing buddy, lol! I started ultralight fishing because of you it has brought my love of fishing back!
Do you know what Justin ever since I started watching your videos? I’ve really gotten back into fishing bigger than ever before. Nope we do not agree on much other than the love. of fishing and people are ignorant. However, the fact you can be humble and arrogant at the same time while being straightforward and genuine is amazing. Even if your veiwer ship drops, please don’t ever quit making videos. I love it.
Just now heard your talk about how you can get exercise from a pedal kayak. It's not a "dumb" idea. I'm already doing it. I am out of shape and been wanting to do something about it for a long time, but it is hard to get motivated, even to go for a walk. I bought my first kayak June 2023, a paddle kayak. Even though my arms got a workout, I did not feel any better physically. I bought a pedal kayak this past July (2024). I had always been focused on getting to my fishing spot or getting back to the boat ramp in both kayaks. The pedal kayak is great for getting cardio exercise. So, I changed my mindset and appreciate the time I'm in my pedal kayak as a way to get a cardio workout and not just focused on getting from point A to B. And I now enjoy my time in the kayak more and not in a rush to get where I want to go.
Unfortunately there will always be idiots who have nothing better to do than complain or share their pointless thoughts and comments… for the majority of us watching, we appreciate you bringing us along for the ride. Keep up the great videos and content!
Thanks for the encouragement, coach Justin. I’d let the loading/traveling/unloading take control over how much I got out over the last few years. Had this playing in the background yesterday at work and took your advice for an evening paddle-trolling trip. Feeling all the muscles today - In the best way. Also caught two - both tiny channel cats. Thanks for nothing!😂
Took a few days but I'm finally caught up on your videos just spent 8 hours today watching you fish I had a good time justin stay safe out there thanks for taking me along with ya check that just seen the new video I'll bust it out tomorrow lol
Trolls gonna troll man. I'm a semi new follower, was sick most of August and got to watch a lot of your videos. I usually fish bass or perch but I have been wanting to try for cats. Really enjoy the content!
Good evening, Justin. Just purchased the Kayak Catfishing Masterclass!! Just waiting on login info. Can't wait to dig into all the info. Lord knows I need all the help I can get! Been getting skunked every time out.😂
Catfishing, carpfishing, baitfishing, or just straitup ultralight for what ever bites. We're going to have fun. I'm positive you'll make sure of that. You always have. Thanks for just taking us along. It's nice to be fishing while I'm babysitting 1 of my old men. Referring to 1 of 16-year-old pugs. Timing couldn't have been foe this video.
I finally tried some light tackle fishing, 2 lb test line and 1 inch gulp minnows. I have to use a medium rod can't really find a collapsible ultralight that I can store in my big rig. Great video as always keep it up buddy!
I was in the hospital recently and one of my nurses had lips like you described in another recent video. Difficult as hell not to say something but she was stronger than me, covered in tattoos, and I wasn't wearing pants. I refrained.
Thanks for becoming a channel member! Right now, I am using a 12v 100ah Epoch lithium for my motor and a 12v 30ah Amped Outdoors lithium for my graph. I got a 36v 60ah Amped Outdoors lithium to power the new motor when I get it installed on the new kayak
Just curious as someone who’s thought about investing in live scope mainly for catching bait for catfishing and maybe crappie fishing, could you chase the schools of white bass with it and possibly stay on them to catch them more frequently? Or is chasing a school hard to do that moves so quickly?
Justin you should put a link in the description of this video and you probably will sell a few kyacks through the link line you did with the banana slicer...😂
Spencer from River Certified was live last night showing his new tournament kayak. I asked if he was fishing the same tournaments as you and he said he was and practicing his trash talking for you. lol You ain’t got nothing to worry about. He’s not use to those big water catfish.
Have you ever tried a super duper spoon for skip jack . It's a very tiny spoon like lure for trout it's a really great spoon that looks like skips would love it looks a lot smaller then the sumo
Hey, I’ve been subscribed to you for a couple years now and I’m finally thinking about getting a kayak. Just wondering because it seems like you have a multiple amounts of kayaks at least two I’ve seen you with the old town auto pilot 136. I think I’ve seen you with the Hobie and then I’ve seen you with a different one. I another one that I’m not sure what it is. I was just wondering, which one you consider to be the better one for Rivers and Current or fast Current do you have any opinions on the matter? Appreciate it
Tough to answer your question without knowing the depth of the river. If you are in a shallow rocky river, you definitely don’t want pedals or a motor as they will get destroyed going through shoals. If you are in a deeper river where depth won’t be an issue, I would recommended getting a very stable kayak that will allow you to anchor in the faster flows. Old town autopilot, Jackson big rig, Nucanoe frontier or unlimited, the new Bonafide xtr 130 would all be very stable options.
My daughter still keeps a journal about her work day but good luck on reading it is in old world Saxon it looks like a chicken on crack. So good luck on reading it.😊
She working in emergency fulltime in AZ now was offered $2 hr under travel pay pick her days, shift and department . She wanted me to tell you thankyou for the help.
Not sure if you've ever done it (new subscriber) but I'd like to see your rod/reel arsenal. As far as the workout spiel, I don't have a kayak (yet) but I bank fish a ton (easier and more cost effective where I currently live) and walk several miles a week through the woods, between that and eating better, I've lost around 35-40 pounds and feel great. I'm only about 10 lbs heavier than I was 20 years ago when I graduated highschool.
Like you are playing chess ......bass fishermen are play tic tac toe😂😂😂😂 Just add to this one ....sounds like the plug knockers are hit and miss don't look like they save enough jigs to pay for them. Think I would try one with a cord tied to it.
The younger looking caterpillars are fuzzy like that. We definitely still have a lot of packsaddles here where I live though I hate them but you were right about those being regular ones. We call the big belly a dicky do belly stick out further than your d.c. do
Great vid what kayak is that? Thx I have two pwr kayak / boats but im fat as an ol sow im going to pitch this idea to my wife im getting tired of steering from behind as im too fat to turn backwards 😂
@KayakCatfish at least as long as our generation is still around I'd say 99% of genz or milinials don't have clue what a thigh master is unless there still available I'm not sure about that.
Much agreed. When I'm on the water it's always in a boat. Why do 90% or more pleasure boaters and bass boaters have to be disrespectful and not slow down for a smaller vessel or bank fishers. We do it's not that hard to throttle back slow down and not wake throw them out of their vessel, and it dosnt take that much longer to get to where we're going 2 or 3 min. It aggervates me to to see them do that. And really agervates me when I'm bank fishing. In 12 to 15 ft of water and them running 40mph risking their life and i dont know if they relize it. Sorry I don't rant often but I seen the comment and feel like we're on the same page.

You should have seen the clouds this morning they was packed like we were fixing to get a bad storm now it's very clear great for a fishing trip
“Sweatin with the Skippies “ should be your workout tape to sell.

The white bass schools do move quickly but it would be fairly easy to follow them with livescope
Justin you should put a link in the description of this video and you probably will sell a few kyacks through the link line you did with the banana slicer...😂
This guy aint no Virgil Ward but he's still pretty good.

Never heard of it. I’ll have to check it out.
I was sleeping to this, it just came on after another video. The target chicks vs Walmart chicks debate definitely woke me up. Funny as fuck.
