Just picked up a stomplab today and my God it's awesome. I'm getting so many tones and awesome effects for just 95 bucks. Thank God VOX knows there's musicians on a budget.
@@rozolax yes there's atleast 100 different styles, 10 selections of 10 different variations in various styles with a knob to control the intensity of the effect and gain. Along with of course your pedal to intensify the effect or tone it down or even play lead with a selector to dim out your guitar for rhythm sections. It's also got a highly accurate build in tuner by just pressing both selector buttons at once.
First of all, this thing is less than 100 bucks. It is easy to spend $500 or $600 minimum for a simple selection of pedals for a gig. This pedal gives new to the genre folks an opportunity to experiment and learn what sounds most fit their ear and playing style. Is it perfect? It's less than $100. That's enough of an answer, methinks. I've always trusted Vox to get most things right and I found this little unit to be useful for practice with headphones. The footpedal is too small for gigging, but just fine for practice. I like it.
so is there a way where i can hit the peddle and get like a clean sound then hit it again and get a rock sound or will i need a differfent pedal for that?
I have the stomplab and I like how it sounds, but there is a minus: the list of amp emulation is very long, I should say too many, but is not possible to guess what they are. Can you pls provide a list of them?
I've got the IIb and it is rather hard to program, its also fairly hard on batteries if you don't have a power supply, i've thought about getting rid but it is superbly flexible tone wise and very convenient to have, as bar my fuzz pedal its hard to justify buying a lot of different pedals for bass so this little box can cover (pretty close) most sounds out there.
Hey guys I’m currently on the fence whether to buy the line 6 pod express or the stomp lab. Seems like there a lot more presets on the stomp lab. I’ve been thinking of getting the line 6 until I saw this nifty pedal. Can anyone recommend which pedal I should go with? Thanks
please somebody help me how can I program the expression pedal to use flanger (or any other effect) like you did on 3:05? I have the users manual but I dont understand, its very incomplete (or maybe Im very fool) I want to activate different effects with expresion pedal, and create and copy my own effects.. Anybody can tell me a guide ? Ill apreciate it.
I HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM,,,, my stomplab is new, but tone change made many noise,,, i cannot adjust,, how adjust clean tone and distortion volume equal ,, when i using clean tone i change the next tone so next tone had high volume than earlier,,, cry cry cry cry....
I have just bought a new Vox stomplab IIG; when I put it in chain with a Crybaby wha and a volume pedal, it comes out a noisy twistle from the cabinets; it doesn't happen when I connect only the pedalboard. Somebody could explain how to solve the problem (everything is powered by a multiple connector that goes in the Visual sound 1 spot adapter)
Are you putting the wah after the Vox. Wah pedals don’t like impedance. So place it right after your guitar and make the Vox the last thing in your chain. The volume pedal is a tune sucker so you could make that the last thing in your chain. But if not place it after your wah and before the effects. Before the effects will cause your gain to roll off just like rolling off your guitar volume. If you want to just lower the volume but keep your gain up then place it after your dirt. Cheers.
Is there an amp to plug in a bass in the guitar version of this pedal? Or one needs to get the Bass version? I just need one amp for silent practice, not 100. Maybe one clean preset can do the job? Thanks
You can use the guitar version for bass and the bass version for guitar. If you play more guitar I would get the guitar version but if you play more bass I would get the bass version.
@jacobchannel26 it doesn't come with one =( fuckin sucks because that's the decided factor between this and the goddam Boss Katana mini for me and it turns out that *_neither_* came with a fucking power supply cord 🤬 but I just looked at the bottom of mine as well as the port and it says on both it is DC 9 Volt and neither the port nor the sticker mentions the mAh unfortunately..

Yep same as I recalled initially: No outputs other than the lone guitar cable one and I looked at it everywhere. The only other thing on it is a goddam fuckin AC adapter port in case you want to save money on batteries. What a fuckin infuriating design! Anyway I hope that answered your question since dude above me's reply came across (to me, anyway) as a confirmation that it DOES feature a line-out seperate from the normal audio cable output... It's a wah on some presets, on others it controls other effects, eg ps30 volume, ps78 overdrive, ps5 depth of echos. On any of the 20 user settings you choose what effect the pedal controls. So for instance you could copy ps30 to user 1 and reassign the pedal to the wah effect from volume. As an amateur player I think it's pretty good for the price. I still keeping my individual foot pedals mind.

Gilles Chiasson Yeah, I know most guitarists like the pricey boutique pedals. I wish I could afford more of them myself. I hear these things are not appropriate for live settings. Would you agree with that sentiment?
Live is always tricky, I have back ups just in case. Joyo makes some very cheap copies. I guess they should be alright for now. I just like getting others insights on these things. I like to learn as much as I can about it.
My set up is rather simple, I have volume/wah, compression, overdrive direct into amp, and trem, univibe and ditto looper in my send and return. The tone I am shooting for is a powerful, clean, late 70's CCR [Credence Clearwater Revival band] type tone/ sound. When you know what kind of tone/sound you are shooting for, it makes planning and buying less complicated. Joyo does make cheap copies but if you shop for used boutiques pedals tend to function just fine at often half the price for new or that of a Joyo copy.

To infer that I’m somehow being disingenuous because I recommend a product (and therefore must be under the nefarious employ of a heartless corporate Wendigo? That’s just silly.
@@QuikdethDeviantart silly indeed.. I was just being facetious and my tone is very ambiguous due to the limitations of typed text with no facial expression for context... Therefore I'll delete my comment and if you want to forget about it and delete yours I'm cool with that too.. But yeah my bad for commenting in haste with no forethought of how it might come across
Christopher Frasher, meh leave it if you want it’s kinda funny . My feelings certainly remain in tact. F’in Monday’s, eh?
100 different amps. But is that because there is no single good one? I mean seriously, why would you have 100 different amps in the first place?
It’s not 100 amps. It’s 100 effects. There are only 44 amps. Still crazy, but accurate.
This thing is awful, but it could have been ok if it had better impulse responses and some of the effects had a little more options, for instance the overdrive pedal has no tone control. Like come on!
I seems to have a kind of brittle tone.
I own one, just got it 2 days ago and it doesn't have any output other than the single audio cable output to the amp. There's no 3.5mm headphones jack, no component outputs, no USB ports or any other option to use. I'll get up and go look at it again top to bottom in case I missed anything... Yep same as I recalled initially: No outputs other than the lone guitar cable one and I looked at it everywhere. The only other thing on it is a goddam fuckin AC adapter port in case you want to save money on batteries. When I got it in the mail the other day I was freaking the fuck out trying to find the AC adapter it was supposed to come with and instead I only found a shrinkwrapped pack of 4 off-brand AA batteries (at least they were nice enough to include those I guess) and I learned that you have to literally take the entire motherfuckin device apart in order to access the goddam battery compartment! What a fuckin infuriating design!
Christopher Frasher cry much ? Lol
@@chriswebb383 hurr durrr yeah I'm gonna hit up a box of tissues for my rapidly leaking eyes..
Thanks for posting your experience. I'm looking for an affordable unit but was disgusted by the guitar tones in this video. Your comments were the deal breaker.
@@taab7 glad I could be of assistance in keeping you from making a mistake and purchasing such a shitty efx processor.. It's downright awful and unfortunately I'm STILL having to rely on it all these months later but I can finally afford a better one here in about a week and am eyeing a RP with expression pedal for the replacement to this piece of dung masquerading as a efx processor..
