    Just wanted to drop you a note and thank you for giving me courage to get a raptor. I did find a smoking deal on a 2018 with 5300 miles on it. I’ve been thinking about it for a few years and looking at them and test driving them. But wasn’t sure about the investment but I’m stoked with zero buyers remorse thus far. Anyway thank with assisting in my decision.
    Glad you went with another raptor.

    I'm very interested in your video series. I have a 19 with the Recaros...after 10k they look exactly as they did when I bought it. I don't off road anywhere near as much as you will so your results will be fascinating. The live valve shocks seem legit and your opinion will be invaluable. I agree with you on the wheels...I actually bought the 17/18 bead locks and swapped them onto mine. I think they are the perfect wheel for the truck. I haven't had any issues with my pano roof and curious how yours holds up to extreme off roading over time. Love you channel!!

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pat thanks man 🙏🙏. Very encouraged to hear the Recaros are holding up. Heard from a few that the felt it tough. We plan on doing a long term review.
      As for the sunroof, issues with those things are very well documented on the forums. I’ve seen friends sunroof crack from too much flexing. And then there is the problem of the rail breaking after not using the sunroof for a while and trying to open it. I wish we could have avoided it. But In Cali we could not find a single truck without it.
      As for the Live Valves, I hope to take it offroad soon. So far they are a huge improvement on the road but they are a little too stiff. Specially in the back. Little bumps and speed bumps destabilize the truck too easily on the street. I’m hoping after some full articulations offroad they soften a little.

    i have a 2019 raptor and i have everything it in besides the blue inside but how did you get the sliver on the dash all carbon to match bc the 2020 blue on blue i looked at has the sliver on the inside

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad

      Gaming with Zach that stripped silver ish trim is part of the recaro seat package. It’s like extra carbon fiber look

    Looking forward to the coming videos! Hoping to get myself a 20 by late Q1 early Q2 next year. I'm also still on the fence about the Recaros. Suede is annoying to clean instead of leather and the blue suede hasn't grown on me yet. Also, still undecided on good graphic or not. The rear side ones are a bit tacky to me.

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      So far so good with the Suede. it really helps keep you in place. With a blue truck, the blu suede looks good.
      As for the graphics, I made sure to find one without them. At over $1000 for those silly stickers they are not worth it. And I think they are ugly.

  • @BadV2

    A couple of other changes. Rear third brake light changed in '18 and the front windshield camera/sensor changed from the '17. It is relocated higher. Look at the front windshield to notice. Good luck with the new truck!

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      BadV2 third brake light looked the same to me. What changed? Did see the camera changed and the 19s now have that shark fin on the roof too.

  • @BadV2
    @BadV2 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Third brake light housing and internals. If you look at the 17 the center led is dim. Look closely at the two covers. You’ll see the difference in reflectors.

    Can you confirm if they also updated the adaptive cruise control. My biggest pet peeve is that mine (2017) shuts off after you go below 17mph. I heard the 2019+ now completely stop in traffic and then takes off again once traffic takes off. Also on the door I set my color to blue and it is red when the door is open and back to blue when closed. I also hate the key fob I've always been curious if I can buy the raptor fob and do the cup holder programming thing.

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      SERGIO ACEVEDO I will tear out the adaptive cruise control. I did not like it much with the 17.
      There is not option to change the LED ambient color at all on the 18-20 Raptors. Blue is the only option
      And yes, you can get the new remote and it will work with the old ones. But at over $200 per remote it’s way too expensive

    • @sergioacevedo2874
      @sergioacevedo2874 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KeepItDirtyOffRoad Oh wow really? It has its quirks but I love it on long trips and especially in LA traffic lol.
      Oh that sucks wonder why they took the color change away. I change my color like once a quarter lol.
      Oh dang 200 bucks I could use that money on better mods lol. Saw some keys on ebay but seems sketchy to get them there.
      Also stock speakers suck even with B&O I just finished my speaker mod for under 400 bucks. Changed the tweeters, center, 4 doors with pioneers and difference was night and day from like a naisaly sound to clarity. And upgraded the sub and added a 300w Amp to the sub with minimal mod was able to reuse the factory plug. The only difference with Sony and B&O is I think you need to for scan some setting for B&O but I highly recommend the mod.

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      SERGIO ACEVEDO yeah, I’m not impressed with the B&O system. I personally think the Sony sounded better. The new speakers sound hollow and bass is not crisp. But yeah the new system does require some fires an changes just to get others to work so I’m just going to stick with stock.

    • @sergioacevedo2874
      @sergioacevedo2874 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KeepItDirtyOffRoad when I was doing research the B&O tapers off the bass when you go past 15 or so to compensate for the stock Amp it has and to avoid speaker warranty damage lol. I feel ya if I had to do for scan I wouldn't have done the upgrade but with the Sony system was much easier simple swap and plug and play

    @mmonti77 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Many of the differences you pointed out are because you got the Recaro package. If you had gotten the standard interior much more would be the same between 2017 and 2020. The standard wheel still has perforated leather on the sides, etc.

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad

    Color changing ambient lighting and cd player are gone also. And another thing is the gear select indicator at the shiftier no longer lights up. Nice to see that Ford has upgraded some things from 1 year to the next, but also cheapened and eliminated things also. Looking forward to seeing how the live valve shocks work for you. I'm sure you are going to test the hell out of them. Love the seats. When are you going to get it painted that lime green??

    • @KeepItDirtyOffRoad
      @KeepItDirtyOffRoad  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Completely forgot about the CD player. I never use it so it didn’t even cross my mind.
      But yeah surprised by the areas they went cheaper with. So far the new center console is really noisy. Going to have to take it apart and put some felt tape on key areas.
      As for the color, 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I don’t know. Lime green would stand out

      just gave the Torque arm a quick peak. Looks interesting, but not sure if the benefits are worth the cost. Would be nice if they put together a before and after video to see the improvements you get. Also would be worried about the arm limiting the suspension from articulating side to side.
