Having read a few comments below, there is confusion about the results, so here they are: - Brutale tops out at 152 mph (245kmh) - Qtr Mile 12.1@128, - the Triple RS is 150mph (241kmh) Qtr Mile 11.6@130, and - the MT09 is limited to 129mph (207kmh) Qtr Mile 11.7@129
@@Chris-bd6uc on the dash it topped out at 140mph but the data logger said 129mph (start at 8:40 in the video and you'll hear). Sounds like Yamaha limit the bike to 9,000rpm in top. Probably something that a tune could resolve (but realistically who wants to ride a naked above that speed?)

Yeah, that sound about right. The Yamaha I'd describe more as "hoon bike, with more engine than chassis for people that just want to go fast and don't care about the overall experience" but what you said sounds way less biased. So I like your way better.
Charlie I’ll be honest I’m a broke college student so for me the Yamaha is what I’m after. Excitement and fun for the cost. Though I recognize it’s not as nice as the triumph or mv.

Chops, I am loving this team up between you and PB. Had my initial reservations but being able to read the stories in the mag and then get some being the scenes filming of how it all goes together is really excellent!
The question is, did the MT-09 hit 129 mph before the 1/4 mile? And if so, how long before the 1/4 mile was up? This would give some indication as to how much better it would have done. It almost certainly would have taken 1st place because it was right on the coattails of the Street Triple, which was not limited to 129.
I currently have the MV (B3,800RR) and previously had the Triumph (675 R) I have never owned a Japanese bike. I would not hesitate to buy another MV or Triumph again. I have to admit this Yamaha caught my attention. The MV is hard to beat on looks and performance.......
Chops glad to see you expanding! I love my 2018 MT 09, really wish it was the SP. but I am about to upgrade to Penske to remedy that. Greet work as usual mate!
They used to on the original suspension according to some riders. Not so much on the new SP suspension I would think. 10mph won't make much difference. Who knows?
Because of the supermoto seating position, and all of your weight on the back wheel, rather than leaning forward and having any weight on the front, the front end gets upset at high speed, and starts to wobble. I don't like taking mine over 100 mph, but that's okay because the torque is unreal.
Lamb Chop Rides thats why im going for a different sprocket next time i change the chain and stuff. Will also correct the huge speedo differences and inaccuracy. I really want a lithium battery and the dymag wheels but they are expensive! I just saw your weight saving vid, you have a video where you've took it out on the road yet with the weight savings? Can't find it and I'm subscribed. Greetings from amsterdam. Check out my flyby with high up custom Akrapovic GP exhaust, i do ride this bike every day to work. Lol. Shit days as well. Cheers brother!
Miran Kajtna not interested in that, will never have the torque figures of the twin 1301cc. No replacement for displacement. Dont care about the 192hp it has at crank. Mine is also 203kg full wet. Dymag wheels and lithium battery i should see a 190+- wet weight. That's ridiculous with 150 nm and 190+hp.
Miran Kajtna but obviously you've never ridden a modded 1290, like i said. Keep your extra 10hp. I like to rip this feather light baby from 3000 earth turning torque rpm to midrange and probably not even using 120hp. Torque for days. Even a supercharged h2 doesnt have the torque this baby has. A zzr1400 and busa do but later in rev range. Not my liking. I hope they continue with the twin! As all the other brands are building less fuel efficient but smaller 1000cc engines. Pun intended. The Kwacker did the standing quarter in 12 seconds flat. So, not much progress in terms of the quarter mile!! Probably due to modern emissions requirements.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! What a fantastic place to give your bike some exercise. I could spend a day or two just looking at the aircraft. So, it seems the Triumph reigns supreme in this test! I figured it would. I do love the look of the MV, though. Very sexy beast indeed!

I love that you have taken the middle weight triples out for a spin. However the poor quarter mile times that you are getting due track conditions, no warm up, too few tries and cold weather are not comparable with how the bikes perform optimally. Any one of them is capable to shaving of a whole second at the 402m line. No real shootout, at least in the vid. But that said, I'm looking forward for the road session. ^^
It's an Iranian passenger jet that was shot down in 1983 - it was not destroyed and managed to land almost fully intact. The airport authorities saved the plane as a kind of trophy and now members of the public are permitted to eat their sandwiches in their on rainy days.
And this shootout proves the factory bikes are saddled with emissions garbage, the riders don't do drag strip racing, and it's advisable to use duct tape on paint. Yamaha makes 131 bhp (crank) with an ECU flash and full exhaust. Put a Z900 out there with similar tuning, 144 bhp crank. No idea about the MV Brutale having ECU flashes on market.

The MV clutch is like an F1 car's. There's a trick to launching the MVs. Let the clutch out completely at low rpm and roll on hard.
Why don't they post the results? 0-60? quarter mile? Which bike is faster?
Same question here. It's just lazy editing.
The MV is probably the worst bike of the three but I want it the most :)
