COD gunsmith typically only lets you put 5 attachments on, 10 in vanguard, but tarkov and its ripoffs let you put as many attachments equal to how many picatinny rails you have, plus different barrel lenghts, plus different handguards, plus different rear grips, plus different mags, plus a choice of one of multiple fixed stocks or a buffer tube you can put even more different stocks on. And im pretty sure im still missing out on some aspects of tarkovs gunsmith
It prevents people from using only one gun in every match. It encourages people to use different guns and makes each gun less grindy. It’s not fun having to unlock one optic that you prefer for each new gun (like in MW2019)

This is why I love Titanfall 2. You get 3 weapons, a primary, anti-titan, and secondary. Each weapon can have 2 mods: increased mag capacity, faster reload, being able to shoot while sprinting, faster transition to aiming down the sights, and a quicker swap to this weapon, along with other weapon-specific mods like a supressor for the RE-45 Auto pistol. It also gave you the option to choose between 3 unique scopes on primary and anti-titan weapons. It was simple, effective, and easy to understand. Nothing was overcomplicated or overpowered.

If it's such an issue, there's many high-XP game modes that can give you loads of XP for those weapons. Using the different Platforms of weapons was fun, seeing the M4 Platform be so diverse made a gun nut ,like myself, satisfied.
The attachments themselves, with a couple exceptions, are kinda shit tho. Less attachments without huge debuffs for something as simple as a grip would be nice. I do like the tree system though

The system of mwii isn't really that complicated as long as your iq is average, you get one weapon of every class and when you level one, you get a different weapon so you level it and get a new weapon and so on. Some of the nostalgia is real and the games did certain things right that they don't now, but there are certainly things making the games better today too. I think it mostly comes down to the developers not listening to fans and doing weird shit title after title that makes people mad instead of re-implementing the things that are fan favorites. People tend to be sheep and follow the crowd instead of forming their own opinions. Also I completely agree the Cold War was the worst in the last 4 years. Wasn't a big fan.

It’s so much better because you have to consider what you’re putting on your gun. Attachments have much more drawbacks than in the old days. You can go for max ADS but you’re probably gonna suffer from recoil or handling, or you can make a laser beam that takes a full second to ADS. It’s different than everyone running AN94 + red dot + stock + quickdraw every game.

@@TamCam_007 most of which have approximately 20 weapon levels, up to 30 if the weapon has no variants and you also get attachments that you can use on every other weapon if you have that slot unlocked. So basically still grinding the same number of levels however it requires less weapon xp to max out the weapons.

So saving $45 automatically ups the experience in my mind. almost every X1/PS4 game had some inherent gameplay flaw except maybe BO3, these aren’t perfect but from 2019-now (excluding vanguard) has been solid all around. And the back-to-back releases of MW2019 and CW are probably the best back-to-back releases since BO1 and MW3. Oh and the campaigns are fun and different which is something that hasn’t been true for the greater park of a decade before 2019
Man, the gunsmith system is awesome imo. And the unlocks system is actually a pretty good addition, since it actually incentivizes you to try out different guns and experiment with different playstyles. It just keeps the game challenging. I think that's pretty fun ngl
Ghosts create a class was great, 2 attachments for the primary + 1 for the secondary, the perks overkill giving you a second primary (with 1 slot) and extra attachment giving you an extra attachment for each gun.
As someone who’s played fps with highly customizable guns I would be used to adding more attachments but the fact that those attachments have to be unlocked by other guns are insane.
Current COD's still uses classic Create-A-Class. Gunsmith is only applied to individual weapons. Other than that, it's still a standard Create-A-Class menu that lets you choose any weapon, equipment, and perks you want. Black Ops' Pick 10 is a different kind o Create a Class system, where you only have 10 aspects to change within your loadout.
I really enjoy this weapon platforms and hope it will stay in new cod, also it eould be nice if they removed limited attachments slots to add more realism
I mean as some one who loves seeing the various different weapon systems for each platform I enjoy it. I love the fact that with this newer version we get to play with the m4 as a belt feed or as an SMG without it taking a slot away love that… or things like the H&K family instead of just getting the MP5 and the G33 we got guns like the HK21 and the PSG1
I honestly love the weapon craft system from Modern Warfare 2019 they really went all out with the weapon customization despite it not being realistic and I have no problem with it

I personally enjoyed the MWII system because it made me try out more weapons and even convinced me to get all the AR, Marksmen Rifle, BR, SMG, LMG, shotguns, and Pistols gold
I don’t mind having to level up other weapons to get certain attachments. Gives me the chance to use other guns I wouldn’t normally use. And try them out with different attachments
I for one like the gunsmith in mw2 . I don't like weapon tuning though , I think it can create weapon imbalance. But it's nice having the same gun act entirely different based on the attachments

The system of mwii isn't really that complicated as long as your iq is average, you get one weapon of every class and when you level one, you get a different weapon so you level it and get a new weapon and so on. And to know how to unlock the weapon you want, simply hover to it. Are you really that lazy to do so? It is only grindy like the previous cods

Some of the nostalgia is real and the games did certain things right that they don't now, but there are certainly things making the games better today too. I think it mostly comes down to the developers not listening to fans and doing weird shit title after title that makes people mad instead of re-implementing the things that are fan favorites. People tend to be sheep and follow the crowd instead of forming their own opinions.
Also I completely agree the Cold War was the worst in the last 4 years. Wasn't a big fan.
U guys r retarded if u think the new games r better. The old games were more simple and arcade like. Today u can’t even have a favorite Gun cuz u gotta play ten others to get all the attachments. The newer games maps are trash. Too much customization in the wrong places such as gay looking skins and weapon attachments. Custom emblems were the peak of customization. Also forced game chat for search and destroy actually forced people to be rewarded for beating others.

Mw 2019 gunsmith is undoubtedly the best one, you level the gun you like completely and you dont have to worry about the other guns

I didn’t stress to hard about the attachment system in mw2 2022 I just used AR’s the moves on to smg,s and so forth.

If you like more of a realistic feel then you play the Infinity Ward games. Somewhere people have forgotten this. The reason there was the breakup and cycle so you would have infinity ward then treyarch every other year was so that way the Infinity Ward game would get two years on the market for the Infinity Ward players. The treyarch players would get two years on the market of playing their preferred type of game. Yeah it's split the call of duty player base up just a little bit. But then players and call of duty tried to pigeonhole both players into the same game. And everybody just kind of forgot that you don't have to buy both games you don't have to like both games. They were built completely different to satisfy two different markets originally for a reason. But call of duty gets more money so they don't advertise it that way anymore they don't talk to it that way anymore they don't really do that anymore they're trying to combine the two player bases to make more money. And the players have just amnesia that shit right on out of the game. And now the frustrated and expect every game to be built for them. I don't like treyarch games never have that's why I didn't typically buy treyarch games unless I had friends who are playing treyarch games so that way we could play zombies and shit. For the most part I stuck to the Infinity Ward games. So unless the treyarch game reviewed really well I would never buy them. I didn't like the Black ops series didn't buy a single one of them. I only had one cuz a friend of mine bought me them so that way he had more people to play with.

Well yeah your point is great till you realize that throughout those "60 levels" (not 60 levels to max a gun), you're getting an attachment each level up while each attachment being useful. In Mw22 you get dogass attachments for a gun you dont care about until you get ONE for a gun yoh care about.

It’s so much better because you have to consider what you’re putting on your gun. Attachments have much more drawbacks than in the old days. You can go for max ADS but you’re probably gonna suffer from recoil or handling, or you can make a laser beam that takes a full second to ADS. It’s different than everyone running AN94 + red dot + stock + quickdraw every game.

@@TamCam_007 most of which have approximately 20 weapon levels, up to 30 if the weapon has no variants and you also get attachments that you can use on every other weapon if you have that slot unlocked. So basically still grinding the same number of levels however it requires less weapon xp to max out the weapons.

So saving $45 automatically ups the experience in my mind. almost every X1/PS4 game had some inherent gameplay flaw except maybe BO3, these aren’t perfect but from 2019-now (excluding vanguard) has been solid all around. And the back-to-back releases of MW2019 and CW are probably the best back-to-back releases since BO1 and MW3. Oh and the campaigns are fun and different which is something that hasn’t been true for the greater park of a decade before 2019

Man, the gunsmith system is awesome imo. And the unlocks system is actually a pretty good addition, since it actually incentivizes you to try out different guns and experiment with different playstyles. It just keeps the game challenging. I think that's pretty fun ngl
Ghosts create a class was great, 2 attachments for the primary + 1 for the secondary, the perks overkill giving you a second primary (with 1 slot) and extra attachment giving you an extra attachment for each gun.
As someone who’s played fps with highly customizable guns I would be used to adding more attachments but the fact that those attachments have to be unlocked by other guns are insane.
New gunsmith system is the best if you are familiar with how firearms platforms work. It adds a ton of depth.

Current COD's still uses classic Create-A-Class. Gunsmith is only applied to individual weapons. Other than that, it's still a standard Create-A-Class menu that lets you choose any weapon, equipment, and perks you want.
Black Ops' Pick 10 is a different kind o Create a Class system, where you only have 10 aspects to change within your loadout.

I love the fact that with this newer version we get to play with the m4 as a belt feed or as an SMG without it taking a slot away love that… or things like the H&K family instead of just getting the MP5 and the G33 we got guns like the HK21 and the PSG1
The new system can confuse people, but it’s good cause you try more guns. It made me move from the m4 to the chimera using the haunted blueprint

I for one like the gunsmith in mw2 . I don't like weapon tuning though , I think it can create weapon imbalance. But it's nice having the same gun act entirely different based on the attachments
