Wow, the dark blue M605 is so beautiful. I hope one day to find a Pelikan M1000 with the green stripes--the old version with ink visibility through the stripes. (With the new version, you cannot see how much ink remains in the pen.)
It is so beautiful! I think that from a manufacturing standpoint it made absolute sense for them to change the barrel to be not see-through anymore. But for using the pen… no. I think a lot of pen lovers loved exactly that feature. On first glace a barrel without a window but then against the light you can check the ink level. It is just so convenient! I never want to buy a pen where I can not see the ink level.
@@Blue_Rosemarie I've been tempted to buy the black/gold trim version, which has a generous ink window. It is a very elegant pen. But I want those classic green Pelikan "Streifen." 😇
It is from Galen Leather in Turkey. I have ordered it from there directly. But I know that other retailers in the EU are also carrying it. Stiloestile has some leather groods from them, as well as Appelboom.
That's interesting that you experience drag with the Rhodia paper. They must use different paper in their journals. If you use their block pads, the paper is incredibly smooth--sometimes too much so, making pens "skate."
KWZ is one of my favorite ink colors. I have inked it up a couple times. Nice choices.

I think it is a bit different. Although I haven‘t used the pads much the last year. I should use them more again.
@@Blue_Rosemarie Rhodia pads have become very easy to obtain here in the USA. I remember being in Berlin, however, and only finding Oxford brand pads.
