Got this recently. it's a beautiful pen. I use Color Traveler's Battleship Tamato Gray as its ink. Beautiful ink. And it makes the pen look sleek.

Enjoyed this video. The lighting reminds me of the videos that SBRE Brown generates. I used to take my higher end pens to work, lamy 2000, pilot metropolitan, platinum 3776 with a music nib etc. after I Lent my esterbrook j to a co worker to sign in for a shift. He/she Bent the nib " accidentally ". Haters gonna hate. Now I have several jinhao 80s and bought some lamy z- 50 nibs ( safari ) that can be easily swapped out and in different sizes. Also a couple of jinhao x750s with Goulet and kaigelu nibs. And 2 jinhao 9016s 1 in clear and the other in a brown demonstrator. The nibs are ok for now but loving the huge ink capacity converters as well as the thicker grip sections. Good luck in your new job. If a coworker asks to borrow your pen " real quick " hand them a ballpoint, your fountain pens will love you for it.

Excellent pen collection! I like to collect machined titanium steel and aluminium pens because I find beauty in excellent engineering, but I do appreciate the artistry in the pen colours that are possible with resin and plastic.

A TWSBI is an excellent pen for trying out different inks. I would never do that with my Monblanc, in which I keep only MB Royal Blue. TWSBIs are practical and reasonably priced pens. That Diamine Ochre is lovely. The only browns I've ever used are MB Toffee and the old Waterman Havana (not sure what the new name is).

I have to admit I expected an architect to have the Homo Sapiens in that list! Very nice pens! Also since you like Jonathan Brook's work and blues I strongly suggest you try to get a pen in his Bohemian Twilight resin. As for my top 5, in no particular order: * Omas Milord Arco Bronze * Pelikan M620 Grand Place * Leonardo x Galen Leather Momento Magico LE Bohemian Twilight * Leonardo x Atlas Momento Zero Golden Abalone with Rose Gold Trim * Monteverde Regatta Black Mother of Pearl with Rose Gold Trim

What a fun (and educational) exercise! I will follow along with my own fountain pen collection ☺♥ I think my most beautiful pens are two Sailor Pro Gear Slims: FIKA Hallongrotta and Princess Kaguya, Beno Euphoria Earl Grey Tea, Sheaffer 100 Coffee Edition, and Turningbydesigns in Cosmos Acrylic. As an honorary mention another sailor, the sailor 4 seasons Hisakata (a more afforable steel nib, but just as beautiful in my opinion).

Franklin Christoph Model 02 in emerald; Franklin Christoph Model 20 in black; Kaweco Dia 2 black; Aurora Optima black. These are the pens in my collection that I find most beautiful. Three of them also write beautifully. Also love the look of Diplomat Aero pens, though don't have one (yet).

And your minimal editing, even when you forget something or say a word wrong is a great change of pace from all of the "polished" videos out there that come across as more fake. So, thanks for being genuine and letting your personality come through. I also don't edit my videos much, but more from a place of being lazy :) I like that you used elements of architecture from Vitruv to talk about the design elements of fountain pens, super cool idea. Thank you for another great video! For me, my two most beautiful pens come from Pascal Choisy, a tiny artisan in the Champagne region of France. One is in juniper and smells as good as it looks, the other is made from the root of a Chardonnay vine and is beguiling in its shades of dark brown. By the way, what instrument do you play? Do you have any pens with nibs ground for writing music?

Great video, thank you! I loved the information about architecture and it does relate to making any object. I also have a Pelikan M805 Blue Dunes and agree it is a gorgeous pen. The chatoyance is beautiful and it is one of my most beautiful pens. I also have a Pilot Nagasawa Decimo in the Kobe gradation and it is also a very beautiful pen. The quality of the material is so rich and wonderful to the touch and the color (stone gray) is very elegant.

That Pelikan is gorgeous! My most beautiful pen is also a Pelikan, the Glauco Cambon. The guilloche process creates an almost holographic effect that's fascinating.

You can pop out the cap liner from the Kaweco sport and clean behind it! I found videos on TH-cam Tube showing how and it turned out to be easy!

My most beautiful pens are my Leonardo Momento Zero Grande Sand, Visconti Mirage Mythos Zeus, Esterbrooke Estie Petrified Forest and Pelikan Souvaran 800.

Good video, not sure about beautiful but here goes Gravitas Torque in orange, my teal vintage Parker 51 with gold cap, Kaweco Sport in Bronze, Lamy 2000 and my Ensso Bolt.

My top 3 most beautiful pens that I own are: 3) Benu Euphoria Caviar -- This one is like your Euphoia Jazz but in gray with silver glitter. It makes me think of finding gemstones in a stone. Very beautiful. 2) LAMY Al-Star Blackpurple -- There is something about the design of this pen that just works for me, especially that wire clip. The triangular grip section is a bit too narrow for my taste, but I love that you can fully disassembled this pen for a good cleaning. Beautiful and very useful. 1) Sailor Pro Gear Slim Shikiori Vega -- This one is a solid dark blue with a subtle sparkle and gold trim. The design and build quality of this pen are just amazing. Solid and beautiful.

From an aesthetic perspective, these are my favorites from my smaller collection: - Lamy Vista (with lamy z28 converter to add some contrast) - Lamy Logo & CP1 (sleek look, love the logo's brushed finish) - Pelikan M205 blue marble (kinda similar to your M805) - Pelikan twist frosted blue (looks like an icicle) - Platinum 3776 Century bourgogne (yours is gourgeous, my pick of the bunch) - Platinum Curidas matte black (so "ugly" that becomes cool) - Sailor pro-color 500 stardust (looks exactly like a night sky)

Interesting. I came here to learn something about fountain pens and learned something about architecture. Still fun to watch, although I feel to disagree with the dead dudes opinion about all three criterias having to be equaly developed. Did you know you can eat green haselnuts and raw chestnuts? So different than the usual nuts. I suppose my most beatiful pens are my two Lamy Studio in glacier and a clear Platinum Preppy. Odd, I know, but I just like how clear the Preppy is, how true the polycarbonate feels, that it is eyedropperable and has a very good sealing snap cap.

I'll have to give a good think on which pens fit that criteria!

PS I know you are focusing on pens, but I recently acquired a Montblanc sketching pencil, called the "Leonardo." I think it is discontinued. It uses 5.3 mm lead. It is breathtakingly beautiful. I bought it at a very, very reasonable price, but I feel guilty, because I am not a good artist, and this pencil deserves a worthy artist. It is a wonder of form, solidity, and function.
