I have had three DSLRs and two MLCs over the years, although perceive quality, feeling from bodies being worse every generation of Canon's gear, reliability thankfully is still something worth relying on.
Great list very well and succinctly presented. Just added a like new 5D classic for $270 and a 7D in excellent shape with 4K clicks on the shutter for $204. Get while the getting is good. Superb bargains. Probably will add a 6DMK1 in 2023. The real successor to the 5D classic...
Thanks, Kevin! And that's a very nice haul indeed - two great cameras for under $500 total. Crazy buyer's market right now. With a 6D and a 24-105 F/4 L one would be covered for 90%+ of situations.
Nice video Sir I am interested in photography, which is better in terms of photographic images, the Canon 6D Mark 1 or 5D Mark 2, because I want to buy and I would like your advice carefully.
Thank you for this informative video and the very comprehensive list. Youve earned a new subscriber. However i still dont know what to do or what should i pick. I have a Canon Rebel XSI (450d) with the 18-55 mm kit lens and the EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 lens (not the ultrasonic one). I want to upgrade but i dont know what should i pick. Recently ive been to an event and i left disappointed because the quality of the photos was bad (i have to mention that the light there was kind of bad to be honest). I am interested in being able to shoot decent portraits whenever im requested, but my hobby is astrophotography, street photography, nature and landscape photography. What should i do?
Thanks for your support! It's not an easy choice when there are so many options. You also have the option to sell your entire kit and start over with a new system, or with mirrorless. Do you have a budget in mind?
@@lensvana your content is great and well thought so its a pleasure! Yes, i have to agree with you, ive been surfing the web and there are so many options to choose from, that's why im confused. My budget is around 400-500-ish usd, and i didn't consider selling my entire kit as it would be perfect as a gift for my brother to learn photography too. I dont mind getting a mirrorless or a dslr (however here in my country ive never personally encountered anything else except sony canon and nikon, never seen an olympus, fuji or other brands like that; and tbh between canon and nikon id always pick canon). Do you have any suggestions for that price point? A dslr/mirrorless that would be decent for portraits and astrophotography too?
@@andrei-daviddobroiu6455 Ok i like that challenge :) here's my best attempt at a kit that can handle both basic astrophotography (I'm assuming standard milky way shots and star trails etc.) as well as portraiture: (all used, total under $500 USD) - Rokinon 14mm F2.8 ED AS IF UMC (your astro lens). - Canon 50mm F1.8 STM (your portrait / street lens) - Canon T3i or T4i (doesn't matter too much, as long as it's an "i" model, so T3i not T3, etc.) Both of these are "full frame" lenses, so you'll be able to use them if you ever upgrade to a full frame camera one day.
@@lensvana Hmmm interesting picks tbh, im more into deep sky imaging tho (Orion Nebula, Pleiades and stuff like that), thats why i got de 75-300 mm lens. What do you think about a Canon 80D + 50mm 1:1.8 STM lens for about 620 bucks?
Thank you so much for your videos! I was searching a canon body under $500, I do portraits mainly, after watching your video I think about the 6D.Which body do you suggest me?
Thanks for watching! Do you have lenses already? 6D is a good choice, and with prices continuing to drop you could maybe even go for the 5D Mark III at that budget.
@@lensvana I have a canon t6 with the 50mm 1.8 and the lens kit now, I want to upgrade and I found your video, I will buy a new body and lenses too… I think about a 35mm and a zoom lens Thank tou so much for your advices!!
@@keddyshots Nice! I would do it slowly, bit by bit. Will take some time to get used to full frame + 50 1.8 but it's a great combo that you can take great portraits with. Of course you can take portraits with the combo you already have :) good luck!
Check eBay deals (AFFILIATE LINKS):
Canon 80D: ebay.us/7Hrpsg
Canon 7D Mark II: ebay.us/w42rZI
Canon 6D: ebay.us/aBZ6tj
You can get the 18-55 for as little as thirty on MPB and on eBay I remember sixty pounds.
Very comprehensive and helpful.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, Raymond!

I love 6D shutter sound and colours, great for anything... even street with 40mm 2.8
Thanks for sorting through all these. Your conclusions are helpful.
Thanks, Dezmond! It was quite a slog putting all that info together :)

Thanks! I'd go for the 6D Mark I, in fact I recently bought one myself :)

been thinking again, should i keep the entire kit and just get better lenses for my Rebel XSI?
