The F-Zero franchise needs to rebooted for Switch. Either Blood Falcon or Black Shadow should be a new character for Smash
I have wanted Black Shadow to be given Ganondorf's moveset for years! Then they can make Ganon represent Zelda more accurately and keep the Falcondorf moveset.

These days, it seems like Cap is now just a Smash Bros character.
At least in smash bros brawl Falcon still somewhat represented the f-zero franchise but nowadays he’s more of a smash bros character than an f-zero rep just like the mother/earthbound series

They definitely need to add Captain Falcon as a playable character in the next Mario kart. I can see why Nintendo wouldn’t make a new f-zero game, because Mario kart is their main series of racing games and anything else wouldn’t sell as well, but they could atleast add Captain falcon as an unlockable character in Mariokart. They could do something cool, like you have to beat him in a race to unlock him.

F-Zero is extremely underrated imo. Like Punch Out it just hasn't had any new games for a while. The last Punch Out game came out in 2009, the last F-Zero game came out in 2003. Hopefully like with Punch Out, we will get a new F-Zero game sometime this or next year, but I do feel like both series need more representation.

Here’s praise that at some point in the Smash Bros. franchise, all playable franchises from the Original will have more then one rep, F Zero and Yoshi have been stuck with one rep since the Original. Good F-Zero fighter possibilities joining roster alongside Captain Falcon would have to be someone who debuted after he did, Jody Summer and Black Shadow would make fine additions, the latter would also add yet another playable archnemesis to the franchise alongside Bowser, Ganondorf, King Dedede, Ridley and King K Rool.

We need a new game in this series. Theres just no other big-budget car game that comes even remotely close to the pure sense of speed of an f zero game. Just imagine if they produced something like forza: a graphically incredible car game, but with f-zero’s 2000+ mph speeds.

I had a principal in middle school that brutally hated Captain Falcon, F-Zero and/or Smash Bros. I wonder if she's the reason why there haven't been any F-Zero games since 2003.
2:18 Would be interesting to know why they’d make this game jumper Ganondorf a cloned fighter to Captain Falcon despite being from a different franchise, which can explain Ganondorf being placed away from other Zelda Characters on Melee’s Character Select Screen and why he lacks a Question Mark placeholder before being unlocked. Don’t know why they didn’t go with Blood Falcon, who never appeared in any game that featured fully cloned fighters. I understand though it was a priority for Melee’s Roster to feature both Mario and Link’s respective love interest and archnemesis.
Still, Ganondorf a clone of Captain Falcon? He runs very differently/he’s not a speedy character, he can’t wall jump (Semi-Cloned and Fully Cloned Fighters are required to be capable of Multi-Jumping, Wall Jumping and Crawling if the character they’re based off can do any of those things), their final smashes ever since final smashes were introduced were even very different. It’s a good thing though that Ganondorf’s placements were not distinguishable in later Smash Bros. games after Melee and that they eventually gave the King of Evil great improvements by allowing his sword to be made use of.
Giving a sword to Ganondorf is probably the worst thing Sakurai has done.

I’ve always founded weird that Ganondorf uses exactly the same move set as Captain Falcon, it’s very strange that the king of evil doing all of these moves. It would have made sense if someone from the F-Zero series uses Ganondorf’s cloned move set *cough *cough Black Shadow you know Captain Falcon’s arch enemy?

Haven’t played an F-Zero game before but I think it’d be cool if they came out with another F-Zero game that was something more of an RPG instead of a racing game, considering Captain Falcon as a character is much more popular than his car and the fact that he races. Most people know him as a fighter through Smash and probably his most well known thing about him is his falcon punch. All of his move set from Smash could totally be incorporated into an rpg game.
