    Thanks for watching guys!
    You can try Amplenote from here: www.amplenote.com/?ref=TJG07V77Q
    For now, I use Logseq for studying and thinking, while Amplenote for task / project management. But it’s exciting how quickly Amplenote is evolving into one of the best note / task apps in the market!

    I’ve given Amplenote a couple tries over the past 1-2 years. It keeps getting more and more impressive. It’s almost there as a to-do replacement for me. I’m currently on Todoist, and the super fast natural language assisted adding of tasks is just too much to give up when used to it :)

    You were very smart on betting on Amplenote, they are small, good on providing value to their customers, didn’t have an “influencer” supporting them.
    While Keep Productive decided to bet on Evernote, that’s more and more EverNOT.
    Good luck and keep the good work.

    Your videos are always a pleasure to watch. For Amplenote, I would like to follow-up on two things. First, what happens to the Notes you take? How are they organized? I currently use Apple Notes because it is convenient and very quick to search. Second, can you organize your Tasks into projects, or does Amplenote take a different approach? Thanks.

    • @Amplenote
      @Amplenote 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Hey @Mel!
      You can organize your notes in Amplenote using tags (equivalent to tags in Apple Notes), as well as nested tags (equivalent to folders in Apple Notes). In fact you can also achieve the "Smart Folder" functionality as well via some neat tricks that we call "Shortcuts".
      Also, in Amplenote your tasks reside inside notes. This is pretty convenient, because it means you can organize your tasks using the same tags you use for your note taking. Separating tasks across projects is in fact one of the things Amplenote does best! With tasks you can get even more advanced by making use of the recently added "Inline Tags".
      We encourage you to join our Discord and take a look at the great content that Shu has been putting up, since it's some of the best onboarding material we have.
      Let us know if you have any questions!

I just wanted to add/ask; the Average opening speed graph didn't include Drafts. which I now have on my Iphone, specifically and only for quick captures (which I haven't been looking into yet;).. I'm wondering how fast Drafts is compared to the other capture/note taking apps in the graph.. could you maybe tell or even include?

      Hey Cristian! Your notes are safe with Amplenote. Using Vault notes, you can enable client-side encryption (sometimes called end-to-end encryption) for your notes, which means only your device can decrypt the content of your notes. We have a Help Page on this: www.amplenote.com/help/how_secure_is_amplenote
      Let us know if this helps!

    Does Amplenote have something that captures task on the go with dictation? Like I will usually say “Hey Siri, remind me to contact John” and it will import into Reminders to be then imported into TickTick automatically.
    Not sure if anyone is using something similar to capture tasks as I usually thought about them when I am on the go like driving or walking.

    Thanks Shu for the quick overview of Amplenote. I do interstitial journaling to log what I am doing and what I am doing next. How do you do a quick time stamp on the daily jot with Amplenote? Thanks for your help.

    How viable is Amplenote as an "Idea Factory"? The OCR and backlinks make it a decent "storage", in my opinion.
    I'd prefer to keep my "second brain" in one place, if I can. Unless I'm being naive toward the actual practice of using a "second brain" in that its best to use separate apps..

    • @Amplenote
      @Amplenote 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey @Timoy, I'm sure that if you join our Discord server, a bunch of our users will attest to how their own Idea Factories have been working in Amplenote.
      As far as our own opinion, we think you should give us a try? One of the core principles that guided the design of Amplenote was the "Idea Execution Funnel" - which is the fancy name we use for the various tools we provide to help people capture, organize and execute on their best ideas. Let us know if we can help with your onboarding process!

  • @WeirdAlSuperFan

    I'm leaning heavily toward trying to replace my plaintext (notepad++) todo list with amplenote, but I have 3 questions...
    1. Can you manually reorder tasks? How about sort them by category/subtasks?
    2. What's the minimum length you can give a task in the calendar view? 2.5 minutes would be nice.
    3. Also, does it have (possibly indirect) toggl integration (or something similar) so we can track the actual time a task took? EDIT: I guess toggl has a google calendar integration, so that should work for now

    • @Amplenote
      @Amplenote 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! I believe you've joined our Discord server in the meantime (welcome!), so you might have found some answers to these questions already. But here goes:
      1. You can reorder tasks that are part of the same note. In Tasks/Calendar mode, which centralize tasks from different notes, reordering doesn't make much sense, but instead there are a few preset options for sorting them. Also, Calendar mode makes it very easy to time-block your tasks, which is a different way of ordering, isn't it?
      2. Right now task duration is limited to integer numbers, so you would have to choose either 2 or 3 minutes. Also, with the current height and scale settings, tasks that are shorter than 15 minutes are not as visible as they could be. Submitting a feature request for this particular use case would help the team prioritize and introduce it in an upcoming release!
      3. While there is no direct Toggle integration, it's possible to create one using Amplenote's API. Our Discord has a dedicated channel for discussions about integrations, so maybe hop on there?
      Ping us for any other questions!
