    Thanks much, purchased 10 boxes to replace all my vision 110 hooks. Great technical break down so I don't have to do it. Much appreciated man. Caught my PB yesterday!

    Bought these in the Medium-heavy size and have been slaying the water in the cold. Size 6 is the perfect size to go.

    I have that same scale. And I have to tell you that scale is rounding your numbers. There is definitely a difference between size 4 size 5 and size 6

    Those straight eyes are sick!! Do you think they actually fish better? I have seen some of the 2001 pro blues for $100+

      Ryan Corcoran they are all great. Sometimes they change the color a bit but they are all tuned the same way. If you feel one fishes different then another you can always do modifications with them. Like hooks, suspend strips, or even line change.

    problem is that if you put 4x strong saltwater hooks on for harder fighting species.. they sink.... solution.. buy the seaknight or bearking copies for 1/5th of the price = very slow float

    Thank you for this video ! I guess I’ll be going with the size 5. Quick question, do the size 5 help with it suspending just a little better? I notice the 110 likes to float

    • @ajpfishing8811
      @ajpfishing8811  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      iHateYouJody 23 thank you so much for commenting on this video. The fives definitely help it suspend depending on the water temperatures as it gets warmer it’ll start to sink extremely slowly. Your best bet is definitely the size 6 for all year around suspend

    I'm concerned about the Gamakatsu Aaron Martens TGW Finesse Treble Hook bending out. Does anyone have any experience trying the MH version of these? Do they weight much more and mess with the action? Size 5 or 6?

  • @DavidMccallister65

    How is it possible that those larger sizes don't increase the weight?

    I like G finesse hooks but I don't think u need to change katsuage hooks, they are amazing hooks

    • @ajpfishing8811
      @ajpfishing8811  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jacob Miller Believe me, I love them too. But after a lot of big fish they bend a lot. I used them all the way up until 2013. I do believe using the G finesse is better when using a baitcaster to move big fish. Thank you very much for your reply and please stay tuned to this channel, good luck on the water. 👍👍👍

    Great video! Lost multiple big ones on the hooks that come on the vision 110.. think I’m gonna go with the G finesse #5 nano like you recommended!

    Got a question for anyone who might know what’s up. One of my 110s (with size 6 g finesse) has recently begun sinking quite quickly. The water has gotten warmer and I know that with the water molecules moving around faster, etc...it’s naturally going to sink quicker than in cool water. But this is too dramatic to JUST be that. It sinks noticeably....any ideas?

    • @Mj-bg2uj
      @Mj-bg2uj ปีที่แล้ว

      I know this is a late answer but I’ve noticed that the fishing line I’m using and leader really effects how it suspends for me . Did you figure it out ?

  • @robertbrost7777

    What size G Finesse hook would you recommend with the Megabass 110 Vision JUNIOR? Mine rises slowly currently, with the stock hooks. The water is also 40 degrees. Thanks.

    • @ajpfishing8811
      @ajpfishing8811  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Robert Brost I would honestly have to say I would put a size 5 in the front and two number 6 in middle and back if you have a slowly rising bait.

    • @robertbrost7777
      @robertbrost7777 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ajpfishing8811 I tried 6's and they sink the bait. I'll have to try your idea. Do you know if this bait that slow rises now will rise faster in warmer water or will it suspend more. Thanks

  • @Twangtown7
    @Twangtown7 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That scale is all out of whack. It weighed the hookless bait at .42 for the first few sets of hooks, then .46 before you put the size 5 Nanos on. So what can we believe?

    • @ajpfishing8811
      @ajpfishing8811  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Bassassin good eye I recalibrated at the end and had the conclusion that everything was legit. That’s the only reason why I posted

      @@ajpfishing8811 Oh, cool. I came upon this video after busting a stock 110 hook today after catching a handful of bass. I was thinking about trying the #5 Nano's, so I'm glad to see it pairs up with it. Too bad, because the stock hooks on these things are sticky sharp, but they seem pretty brittle. How would you compare the Nano to the stock hooks as far as sharpness goes?

      Scotty Hill aka Catfishnfreak Scotty, they are 100% worth it. I have won plenty of money over the years in tournaments using them. If you get a little skittish, do not fish them on waters that have toothy critters like Pickrell.

      Never really bother upgrading hooks because I thought the kasage hooks were fine. Until today. Hooked up on a 2.5 lb spot bent the tail end hooks but landed that one. Hooke up to a bigger, it took a dive and I’ve lost it. It bent the middle hooks out. Thanks for this video @AJP Fishing. I love these jerk baits.

      Eddie Etheridge that’s actually how I started, using a lucky craft pointer with two hooks, then went to the Megabass X 80 that only had two hooks also. Once I got into the vision 110 I was completely hooked forever. 👍👍👍 I won more money on this jerk bait than any other.
