Gorillas at the world- famous San Diego Zoo in high definition (HD). Gorillas have always fascinated zoo visitors. They are the largest of all primates-the group of animals that includes monkeys, lemurs, orangutans, chimpanzees, and humans. Gorillas are peaceful, family-oriented, plant-eating animals.
Many people like to compare gorillas with humans, but there are several differences. Although they are able to stand upright, gorillas prefer to walk using their hands as well as their legs. Their arms are much longer than their legs, and they can use the backs of their fingers like extra feet when they walk. Gorillas and chimpanzees are the only animals able to knuckle walk.Baby business
A female gorilla is ready to have babies of her own when she is about eight years old. But first, she must leave the safety of her own troop and find another troop or a lone silverback to live with. A newborn grows quickly. At five to six months old it learns to walk, and by 18 months of age it can follow mom on foot for short distances. Still, the safest place for the younster is its mother's back as she travels thru the dense vegetation of their forest home.
Young gorillas learn by imitating what the others in the troop are doing, and by play fighting with other youngsters. Even the stern silverbacks are gentle with the little ones as they practice new skills. A young gorilla stays close to its mom, sharing her nest, until it is four to six years old.

They always look like they’re thinking about something. Intelligent animals they are.
I used to think having them in captivity wasn't right, especially in a small cage. I now think it's a good idea, especially with the more natural setting in which they're kept. 1.) If, god forbid, something catastrophic happens in their native habitat there will be others around the world to repopulate their species and 2.) it gives the unwashed masses a chance to see in person these amazing creatures. If that prompts you to do something to help them maintain their species then it's worth it.
They are magnificent.
Such bright and smart animals let them run wildly and freely they deserve better take care. Joe

I was just thinking that and they look so unhappy
they have a permanent grumpy face stop personifying animals.
They are just chilling you are bored
Su mirada y su actitud es como si sintieran pena o lástima de nuestra estupidez. Lo siento tanto por ellos, una pena verlos asi encerrados sòlo para diversiòn nuestra,no es justo :( Y son tan bellos además.
Caro Paz

Kintaro looks a lot like Momotaro when he was the same age! Beautiful video!
How sweet they are.
love the gorillas, its always fun to watch these marvelous creatures....the gorilla outside enclosure could be much better, there is nothing for these guys to climb/jump or play on, they have to be really bored
I love it when animals hug each other. :D
They are preparing to take over the world Pinky.
And you just wonder what they're thinking...while making those facial gestures that are just like humans...
they seem stressed the silverback keeps active cause the loud humans may be a treat
they look like humans
@MrBlamemeforit And not just the facial and body features.... They act like us and they clearly have similar emotions and thoughts... truly amazing..
sometimes I think they have more brains than human's. think they are better parent's.
Google searched NAACP and this video was suggested. 🤔
THANK YOU WELL DONE
Fantastic and love it
Great video, it's so clear, thanks for sharing.
I would be bored just like them if I had to live there. The same small zoo compartment everyday.
The zoo keepers probably give the gorillas toys to play with.
they have acres of land a pretty big apartment
thats why i never go to zoo
you can see the despair in their eyes - they wanna go home
this is their home
Yeah but if they were at their original home, they would easily get killed by all of the poachers so the zoo is keeping them safe so they don’t die.
@@FeloniousGru20104 Absolutely agree! People who criticize.... the zoo are idiots!!!
Yea i was at the St.Louis Zoo yesterday, and a life lesson to all...Never make eye contact..He looked at me, and he hit the glass very hard, scared the crap outta me...lol
Omg its so grazzy
I'm tired of you people who are against zoos... do you not understand that all the animals they contain are animals that otherwise wouldn't survive? Do you not understand that the only reason they need money is to take care of all the animals? Zoos are amazing and your boycott of them is both ignorant and inhumane.
Verry ferry good
shared now.
@OneUmmahFisebilillah Thanks for watching and also check out my playlists of videos from SeaWorld, Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Universal Studios!
for the last time most animals are inactice durring the day gorillas lay around in the grass
you would be laying around if its hot too and gorillas have a grumpy face they are not mad or board
It's not that weird when you consider we share 98% of the same DNA with them.
He is will Smith
Nice quality video. Thanks for posting.
8:16 OMG it`s so sad, they deserve something better!
SHUT UP STUPID, ARE YOU DUMB? THEY WOULD DIE IN THE WILD THIS IS BETTER FOR THEM. JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE A TRANSGENDER MALE DOESN'T MEAN YOUR COMMENT MATTERS
they have a permanent grumpy face stop personifying animals.

Good Video ,Lovely Videos
Great quality, wow

They are well aware they are in captivity and far away from their native land - Africa. They're not hostile - which is not their nature - but they're not happy, being gawked at - and ridiculed at times - by humans on the other side of a moat, bars, and heavy gauge glass.
Nice
@tpstrat14 Thanks for watching and check out my playlists of more videos from the Zoo, SeaWorld, Disneyland, Walt Disney World, and Universal Studios!

Give them some toys or somethin damn. Maybe some balls, a mini playground with a swing or a slide, amongst a number of options, give them something to do! What's wrong with these zoos?
Shaheed H or give them an iPad
***** don't believe they'd know how to use an iPad
Shaheed H Maybe , i think they know better then us ! :))
Marius Ochioi And your information is based on what? They know better than us to what saves them $, that's all
Otherwise, I want to hear sensible reasons w/o accepting something with no reason behind it.
Marius Ochioi ...Or baseless liability concerns.
Awesome video...all these wonderful creatures belong in freedom!
bellissimi peccato non possano essere liberi. complimentix i video sono bellissimi
1 RULE : you talk, we'll get you out.
I love there eyes there beautiful :)
Yo no voy al zoo, porque me pone triste ver los animalitos encerrados.
Sí es triste pero este Zoo es bueno. Porque es acreditado. Tienen espacio y comida. En natura este animales tienen problemas y personas en el zoo ayudan
I feel so sorry for them being locked up. They would have so much fun in the wild.
yes getting shot by poachers is very fun
I used to think the DNA/gorilla thing was interesting but then I learned that we share 80% of our DNA with corn.
it feels wrong.it feels like I'm watching my own kind being imprisoned.its not right
While filming, did any 4 year old kids fall into their enclosure?
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
Your videos are amazing. Thank you for filming them for all those who have no opportunity to visit all these places.
Great quality.
Looking at them clearly depicts they are not happy there.
Anybody know the difference between the safari park tickets and the san diego zoo tickets? they are both priced the same so which is better?
WHAT A GOOD CAMERA!!!!!
i can read their minds, i'm something like a god, or a half god, trust me ...

Excellent filming. Loved this!
Nice fanny jokes.
@MrBlamemeforit Or do we resemble them?
poor animals , they're bored to death, staying in the same place every single day watching people come and go. thats a prison

These gorillas were never in wild born in zoos.
they look like they are going out of their mind, their so depressed...

I hope you're just a troll
Arjun Kashmiri
***** whats the aplhabet? is that an app?
***** they survive on fruit, normaly ... if they werent in the prison we call a zoo

Thats why i think this is unjust. Maybe only in this case specifically. Because the emotion on these being's faces is TOO similar to humans, they feel just as we do. It would be no different if we put humans behind a glass and stared at them all day until the person's eventual death. (Jails, ya i know) but this is fucked up to me. Imagine going to a different planet and encountering these beings, would you treat them this way? They seem intelligent enough to me to be given sentient status.
they have a permanent grumpy face stop personifying animals.
They look so bored and eager to find something to occupy themselves with. That one gorilla that grabbed that piece of wood looked like he really wanted to use that piece of wood for something, but instead he carried it next to another gorilla and hoped the other gorilla would see it so that something would happen. Everything I described above is probably a big portion of their daily lives. Think about that. I love zoos, but this observation makes me question the morality behind zoos.
Sucks that the portion of their lives they'd spend picking insects off and fending off predators goes to just sitting around now
