Bonobos at Jacksonville Zoo

- There were six bonobos in the group today at Jacksonville Zoo: three adult females, one adult male, and two juvenile males. One of the females is over fifty years old, making her the second-oldest bonobo in the world.
Thank you for posting this. There's surprisingly little footage of bonos here on TH-cam.

These guys are so much gentler than chimpanzees and have a different vocalisation, magnificent animals that don't deserve to be caged up
Иногда такой сидит рядом с тобой в маршрутке, а ты и не заметишь
Oftly aggressive for bonobos they're stressed for sure
look
They really have a different vibe than that of chimps.
In comparison, chimps, especially older males, are basically psichopaths
I have seen video of a female bonobo with breasts as big of as a woman. I read somewhere that a river has separated chimps from bonobos for millions of years not mixing together
It's completely different. Chimps fight to work out problems. Bonobos hump and cuddle it out.
This is pure torture for these beautiful creatures! They live, play, sleep, in the trees, there's not a single tree in sight! This is animal abuse, they are bored, anxious, and depressed! Humans SUCK!
And what, they get poached when they are free? Come on lady, zoos are here for a purpose, and MOST of them do help and give out donations to sanctuaries and animal movements. You can't just assume they are being tortured by their behavior. Some ape enclosures don't need trees. On the chance they do need a tree, they are usually surrounded by a body of water in some zoos, because some apes do have the physical capabilities to jump out of their enclosures and cause havoc. Besides, bonobos have human behavior like, I don't know, being bored in some times and walking and eating things alike.
great video ❤️😊
They look so intelligent and evolved that it doesn’t seem right to have them caged in with people ogling them and laughing at them
Many zoos do a lot of good things for wildlife conservation and the people that visit help pay for it. Most zoo animals are rescued or born in the zoo and if it weren’t for the zoo they would probably be dead already and they certainly wouldn’t survive in the wild.
They are little monsters that like to cannibalize their own and would be in heaven if they could have access to your face for a snack.
They are super lucky to have it so good.
The bonobo that is laying down relaxingley is always me
Haha, me too. It was pretty hot that day so I can't blame them.
I the one umping the orange bowl.

Set those bonobos free they are too human like for this
Boy they look a lot different than the regular chimpanzees I think they look more like humans but they look so bored they need some enrichment out there a honeymound with the sticks or something. I thought they're supposed to be loving chimps that one seems to pick on that other one a lot
there siblings
These are quite human.
Huh? What kind of humans are you hanging out with?
Definitely. Their facial expressions are remarkably similar to humans. They remind me of us maybe even more than chimpanzees. Amazing animals for sure.
@@Nick-vs2nb me too

Esses bichos são uma onda 😂😂😂
Was that bonobo humping the ball? Lol
Bonobos make love not war.
왜 저들은 털이 다 빠졌나요?
무슨 이상이 있지 않겠지만 혹시 스트레스를 때문에 그런건 아니지 궁금합니다.
This zoo has no business having these beautiful animals they don't take care of them properly
bonobos are endangered
у них же ещё нет бессознательного? я вот думаю, это уже неприлично на них пялиться или ещё более-менее
Lady talking in the background sounds quite irritating
It's crazy how close to human they look.
Where is Koba?
I’ve seen humans pick their nose like that and eat the buggers. SICK! I know one that will do it while they are talking to some one. HOW WE DOIN!
You, am I right Eli Kinder
Them buggers are good you should try

Bonobos
They seem very unhappy. No laughters or smiles. And I observed some aggressivity from some of them (orange bowl + banging on the glass). They acted more like chimps than actual Bonobos. Sad.
What a nice prison!
They're alive!

@@haminmnaoir2199 can you translate your comment into English?
@@haminmnaoir2199 I've seen this character before but I can't remember what it is.
It is sad that thier locked up like this. How boring thier lives must get unless they have other enclosures for them. They look very human like so when you watch them you can almost sense what they must be thinking
He’s resting like me😂
I hate to see them lock up like that it's sad they need to be free.💔💔😢

@@hessahmo2334 wtf?
Jacksonville has 13 bonobos.
They must have only had six of them out when I was there. Thanks for letting me know.
I was just there today and only saw 4
They starving these joints in Jacksonville ! They skinny as all get out. While these animals are not usually fat they are muscular thick! They need more food!
I was there today... all the bonobos did was eat. they had an ample supply of food. they loved the oranges and peanuts the most.
@@antnana215 I'm glad to here this!🌹
Nossa eles estão magros coitados.
Они не худые. Бонобо в отличии от обычных шимпанзе стройные и вытянутые. Имеют более длинные задние конечности
