Oh! i'm so sorry for your girls fight. I understand the feeling when everything it's fine and happy and well and then... well, starts changing into something a little more complicated. My friend has to female dogs: they can't even see each other and there's no way they be in the same room. One of the dogs lives in some rooms of the house and the front garden, and the other in other rooms and back yard. Totally separated at all times. Hope you find a solution soon! We all can notice your worry, sadness and low energy and send you all the best. It's life and we all enjoy you share it with us so we can be here for you and your girls ❤
I think you're a good dog mom for wanting to try to help the dogs to get used to the new situation and try to make it work. I know it's probably daunting when you see your babies hurting each other, but I am really proud of you for trying to facilitate peace and to protect all of your doggos. They are our family and are a commitment, but I know their safety is also important. I was excited to see a new video tonight, you have great content!
Thank you so much for watching and also for your kind words!😭❤️ I’m absolutely trying my best to navigate this new stage with the girls while also trying my best to keep their safety and quality of life a top priority.❤️😭
I’m so sorry to hear about your dogs, I can tell it’s taking a toll on you. I totally understand that you don’t wanna give up yet and I hope it all works out in the end, either way. Sending lots of love❤️
Hi, newish fan - love your channel. Of course you want to talk through it. You've been traumatized! You might say 'it wasn't that bad' but you don't get to choose what traumatizes you. I have stopped a few dog fights, they say not to get in the middle. But who flipping cares if your babies are involved! I had a similar situation with my dogs. I'd love to give you information about my experiences. Ahh I am missing the episode because I'm writing this comment. As for the plants... I am a hoyaholic, hoyahead, so I never get tired of seeing them!
I went through the same thing with two of my dogs. It happened several times and even when I thought things were safe and many months had passed, it would happen again. So I can't say training is going to help in the long run. I feel the same way that you do about dogs and did not want to give one up. The thing is, even if you are standing right there, you can't stop it from happening. The only way to protect your more vulnerable dog is to keep the two dogs apart. So far you've been lucky, but one dog could end up more seriously injured or even worse (I'm sorry to say this, but it happens). I divided my house with several dog gates. I got nice ones with gates and drilled them into the door frames so the larger dog couldn't knock them down if I wasn't at home. The two dogs were never together. Living in a divided house is hard, but it's completely necessary unless rehoming is an option. But you need to find a home without other dogs, which can be difficult. I get your emotional state right now. There are so many feelings around it. I'm really sorry you are going through this.
I just saw your injured girl at the end of the video. I'm glad you are keeping them apart, but your bigger dog could easily jump that gate. Please be careful, you never know what will set off another fight. I'm sorry, I'm not criticizing, I just want to give advice because I'm traumatized by what I went through with my dogs and see what could happen in your situation. It was a learning experience for me but it taking me so long to figure out that the two dogs could never be together just ended up in more attacks. I'll just add that the last attack in my home left my smaller dog almost paralyzed and required an extremely expensive emergency mri and surgery with a veterinary neurologist. Even then, he was lucky to live. I as so sorry that he had to go through that and promised him after that I'd always protect him and keep him separate. I just wish I'd done this sooner to avoid the last attack. Please keep your girls separate forever. I can see how much you care about them.
Yes, we are keeping them separate and we only “depend” on this gate when they are napping, otherwise we are with them and watching them or I will have one of the girls locked in a room with me! When we aren’t home we switch between having Vixen locked in our bedroom and then keeping the gate in the hallway just as an extra added barrier, even though the door is shut, or having sky put up in her crate with the door shut as well! We definitely plan to get better gates that connect to the hallway walls in the near future! We are just on a little tighter budget with the vet bills and cost of training at the moment. And I know, the daunting reality that Vixen could get seriously injured or worse keeps me up at night. I promise I’m doing everything in my power to keep her safe, they weren’t even supposed to be together when this last fight happened, but Vixen bolted outside without me realizing until it was too late.😭 Thank you for sharing your story & experiences.❤️
Ugh I feel so bad for the issue you're having with your pups! I'd never be able to give up on one of mine either! I hope you can get some good help/advice! I really love seeing your animals in your videos!❤
I’ve come to the conclusion that cats and grow tents aren’t a good match 😂 My cats climb mine and put holes all in it 🤦🏼♀️ I’ve already messaged you on Insta about your dogs but I wanted to let you know again how great you’re doing. I love that you aren’t giving up on one of the dogs and figuring out what is best for everyone! True pet parent 🙂
Yes! My grow tent definitely has some claw marks throughout it!😂 I have considered not allowing them in the plant room but I always end up feeling bad because they love hanging out with me in there! Lol Ans thank you! I’m really trying my best as we navigate this. Thank you so much for reaching out, it means so much to me!❤️
Hey!!! So sorry about your dogs fighting again, I used to have large male dogs that have passed away but I get it, the fighting got so bad my niece who lived close to me took one of them for a few months and things got somewhat better, loved the video about to do the same with my micans and yes being your Okie neighbor we tend to get a lot done when it snows lol have a nice weekend 😃❄
Hello. I've been following your videos from the beginning. You have nice looking plants especially your hoyas! Sorry you have to go thru that with ur dogs. Looks like you need Caesar from The Dog Whisperer. As you know their quality of life especially the one that's got the worse end of it is suffering. The next time she might not survive. Anyway keep up the good work and I look forward to your next video. Dee, long Island, ny
Yes for sure. I don’t want to experience an even worse fight. We are going to continue trying new ways to keep them separated while also giving them both quality of like and continuing to work with the trainer so we can get better at reading body language, getting them comfortable in each others presence (which likely will only be on a leash or behind a gate), and just overall becoming the best pet parents we can be! Thank you for watching!! ❤️❤️
Don't through those old Florida ghost roots away! Please! If you want to give up please send them to me instead! I'm pretty good at rescuing doomed, dried up, rotted roots... Plus I can't afford a Florida Ghost right now...😂
Yes it’s definitely an option we are looking into. I obviously wouldn’t shock them on a normal basis but a shock during a fight would be much better than more puncture wounds. So I think it’s absolutely something we should consider as a tool for safety in the event another fight happens.😭🙏🏼
I have sp much trouble with my philodendron brandi,,as I kno alot of pple do,,but there breaking there self and then the tip turns black...Do u think cowmag would help.thank you for always answering me and trying to help me out..Much appreciated 😁
I have a poodle ,,he is standard..I had to get one bc he was chasing cars,,it was a really good tool for him to understand wen I say no,,I mean no...I hardly ever have to shock him,,but I have b4,,and wen he knows that collar is on,,he doesnt act up as much..I hope if you give it a try it will help an you are able to keep both of ur babies...You can get them at Walmart,,Amazon...I got mine on Mercari and it's still going strong an half the price.
Do u ever have trouble with plants unfurling,,my philodendron brandi has been having trouble unfurling so I thought I would ask if u have ever had this problem,,an wat you do for it.
YES! All of them time! Especially on philodendrons. If you havent tried yet, wet them with a spray bottle if you notice they are seeming a little stuck, this usually helps. When they are REALLY stuck and will most likely break themselves without intervention, you can try helping them out of the sheath or petiole with a qtip! But keep in mind you may still end up breaking the leaf.. (but if they are already going to break themselves, I’m usually fine with risking it to try giving them a better chance).
That’s very sad, I’m sorry to suggest, but I think that you will have to re-home your younger dog ! As both dog’s want to be top bitch and one of them won’t step down, you have to think of the older ones safety 🙁 I’m sorry
Yes this is definitely in the back of our heads. It is a hard thing to navigate as we made a commitment bringing them into our family and feel we should do everything in our power to keep them both in the family, however, we also know their safety has to be our absolute top priority. We are hoping to try and exhaust all avenues possible in keeping them both with us, but if we do get to the point that we really either can’t keep them both safe, or if they aren’t both having the best quality of life, we will definitely look into rehoming.❤️❤️ It’s just such a hard thing to go through in trying to do what is right by both of the dogs!
@@MyPlantedParadise I’m sorry that you are going through this. I remember going though the same problem with two litter sisters that we kept from a litter of pups. A very hard decision, but the dog’s and your family must be really struggling with the stress that it must be causing. And I wish you well 💕

Wat about getting both dogs shock collars,,for there safety and yours...it has 3 setting ,beep, vibrate or shock..I think that would really help out.

Please don't do this. It could actually make the situation worse in the midst of a fight. Talk to a dog behaviorist.
@@Kris-jp2lh I will! We have been running everything by our trainer before doing or introducing anything!!
