I have a couple of questions for you. Let me give a brief info about myself before I go ahead and ask those questions. My PR is under process and I believe I will get my ppr next month. I am considering moving to Calgary as well. I have sales and distribution experience back home and I don't think my prior experience will be any good here in Canada so, if I have to start from scratch it will be nice to start here in Calgary coz there's less competition(as far as what I have heard). Question 1. You said you were in retail sector in Calgary can you please tell how did you get the job here and what was your corporate background in India.
Question 2. I will be coming with my wife so I think a 1 or 2 bhk condo will work well for us. Now, considering the avg price of a 1 bhk is around 160k and of a 2bhk is around 180k around downtown Calgary. I think I should invest in it asap and pay off the entire amount within 3-4 years and in the mean time I will have better clarity of the city that is when I can book a pre con single family house and then move to a single family house when I get possession( which I would think will take a couple of year). What are your views about it? FYI: I have already managed to save around 30% down of the avg condo amount.
