Its interesting to look at in this way, but a game's map isn't an entire planet (in most cases). It looks kind of goofy since games often reference areas beyond the playable area - this implies the explorable map is the only thing to it.
No Man's Sky is not an "open universe" game, but it is an open world game. The maps in No Man's Sky are about star system scale, but you can't travel from star system to star system without the warp drive, which is essentially the loading screen. Megaton Rainfall is literally an open universe game
Sorry, but the whole visualization is wrong. It just takes the size in km² as diameter, but if you double the diameter of a ball, the surface is 4 times the size. This "planets" grow bigger much too fast.
I attempted some math, i don't know if i got it right or not but i think Nirn(Elder Scrolls), might be about 1/55 or 1/56 the size of earth. Just going by the numbers provided. Video says Nirn is about nine million square kilometers, Earth is about 510 million square kilometers.
Not exactly. For clarification, Tamriel is roughly 9 million km2. That's not including Akavir, Pyandonea, Atmora, or any of the various islands dotted around Nirn or the remnants of sunken Yokuda, which does remain but only a series of archipelagos.

Tbh, it'd be awesome if game developers made all of these games on a planets, even if scaled the exact same way. Because they'd still be the same size as their regular game counter part, take Witcher 3 for example, it's still the same surface area if on a sphere or it's flat plane. But the benifit of if they made them planets, you could travel any direction to get to where you need to go. Instead of being in the upper left corner of a flat map, and having to go all the way across and down to bottom right corner, opposed to if it were a planet, the upper left hand corner would actually be right next to the bottom right corner when applied to sphere
I love Totk but it doesn't really make sense to put the map in there. Plus, you can't really compare the maps between them since each game have a different way of going through it.

Panandonea, atmora, akavir. Maybe Lyg but I dunno if it actually exists or counts as a continent in TES Lore. It is very confusing to what Lyg actually is. If you know what Lyg is then please let me know, I have been unable to find any videos or lore explaining it.
How do you calculate the km size? Is it based on how long it takes to travel from one side to the other? If so, wouldn't a map where you can drive a Lamborghini compared to a horse give different results? Also, what if a map doesn't have walking and is vehicle only?
The confusion comes from the difference between the surface area and the volume of the Minecraft map: 1. 3.6 billion square kilometers is the surface area of Minecraft’s map. The map is 60 million blocks long and wide, and each block is 1x1 meter, so the total area is around 3.6 billion square kilometers. 2. 9.3 billion cubic kilometers refers to the volume of the Minecraft map. The map’s height is about 384 blocks, so when we include this height, the total volume becomes approximately 9.3 billion cubic kilometers. In short: • 3.6 billion km² is the surface area. • 9.3 billion km³ is the volume.
The map size of Spider-Man 2 is around 20 km², Mafia is 31 km², and Steelport is 25 km², so it's probably somewhere between the two. I’ll definitely add that to my next map size comparison video.
The Elder Scrolls planet is incomplete. The world itself actually has a name it's called nirn and apart from Tamriel there are five other continents on it.
