gaunts have a speed upgrade called “reapers rush” that’s basically just stim i think. not a top bar thing
yeah good point, because they removed infest from being tied to that ability I had thought they'd removed the entire ability

I might back this so I can play tbh. Was a good time. Kind of fun to be right there on the edge of a brand new Rts as it happens.
I think the hedgehog is supposed to be some kind of futuristic quad bike. The four legs seem to adjust and I think the wheels are like supposed to turn, maybe?
I do agree that the movement looks kinda janky. I think they're trying to make it like when it's stationary the wheels turning can make it accelerate in any direction. When it drives forwards it kinda seems to move the legs together and act like a bike.
The Hedgehog has sphere-shaped omni-directional wheels, This is what enables the vehicle to effectively strafe and turn on the spot. I believe I heard this from one of the devs during an interview I saw on youtube.
ah ok cool, it already looks a little better than on the first version I reckon. Either that or I'm just used to seeing it now

i'm trying to adapt a build from BW where you send zealots of one gateway to the opponent (Z) and expand behind the pressure. it work like a charm with lancers.
the wheels for the hedgehog are spherical, so if that isn't just place holder, while it looks weird they could move that way but they should add some more feedback on the legs since it looks too smooth potentially.
lots of levels yet to be reached in terms of how well vanguard can maximize their unit micro
vanguard T3 better have some game-ending stuff in it, they just cant close it out vs infest and infernal inject

Sg is an alpha. An entire faction and t3 is missing. Major features missing means alpha

I don't understand why people use atlas vs infernal. They suck against tanky units and vs infernal they will hit your own bio unit more than the enemy. Vulcans are the way to go for aoe imo.
so many games have Vanguard ahead, and then suddenly Infernals turn it around. It somewhat catches you by surprise. I am struggling to see what actually causes it. But one moment Vanguard looks fine, the next there are 7000 enemy units taking out their base
I think its because of infernal charges that cam make theyr armys have spikes of power that can end games very easely
The Hellborne + Magmadon unit combo looks absolutely brutal to go up against. The magmadon trample forces you to split and kite backwards, but the Hellborne guarantees that you take damage every time you try to engage, which means that you lose the game of attrition, but can't force an engagement.
It would be like playing tertan vs zerg in sc2, except the zerg army is supported by broodlords that are now ground units, and moves at the same speed as roaches.
Vanguard is like Terran in that it has an OP a-move death ball that does have much room for skill expression besides clicking 3 buttons quickly, so that players get tricked into the mindset that if they click buttons quickly enough (select all army -> move command -> a-move), they’ll be invincible, and they neglect tactics and positioning so they get surrounded by magmadon, get mass-stunned and lose the fight.
Not to worry though, they’ll undoubtedly buff vanguard again so that the press-three-buttons-quickly strat will be dominant at all skill levels while what few skill-based deathball breakers in non-vanguard races get slowly nerfed into irrelevance.

Most of these casts ends with an Infernal win. They need to nerf that big dragon.
