Just a friendly reminder from a healthcare worker....please please please remove ALL of the numbing cream thoroughly and disinfect the skin with alcohol BEFORE using the device. Allowing any trace of bacteria or numbing cream to enter into the skin can be very dangerous
Is using alcohol on a cotton pad a good way to remove the numbing cream ?
I had fillers done a month ago and the injector didn't even disinfect the area before she shoved the needle in my face! Luckily I was on antibiotics due to a minor skin infection. Had I not been, I dread to think.
She messed up the filler anyway, I need it corrected tomorrow by someone else.
Sigh.

She was terrible about removing the numbing cream then while needling, crossing into numbing cream areas! So bad!

As a 20 year medical professional some of this is making me cringe, mostly using the same towel that numbing cream was wiped off with to wipe blood off. Your skin has open places caused by the pen, use clean gauze, one is asking for an infection otherwise.

Why do all these "how to" videos have them using the pen absolutely wrong? You're supposed to press and release, not drag it across your face. You're not going to get better results by using the product wrong. You're just causing an unnecessary and unhelpful level of damage and getting more irritation than you actually need. You might not even need numbing cream at all if you actually use it right. The irritation will still be there, but not to such a large extent.
I've listened to several videos on microneedling, and yours it the best so far, easy to understand and follow, I'm 75 and do have wrinkles, but not as much as most other women at my age, I'm thinking about microneedling , I really want to look my best, what do you think about someone my age doing it ?

I have a question on the Dr. Pen. I see a bunch of websites selling Dr. Pen and one that says they are the official site, and I also see a huge range of prices on websites and Amazon. How do we know we are actually ordering a "Dr. Pen" and not a knock off?
When you receive it, there will be a QR code on the outside of the box and will tell you if it's an authentic product
I would add this main procedure step, don't scratch your skin by doing in any direction, go with the device horizontally, vertically and diagonally.

It's recommended to make a box print like # , so I go diagonal, horizontal, vertical

I work across diagonally, vertically, and horizontally making a box print like #. You can also work in small circular motions

Please be very careful with this treatment, her technique is wrong! It’s very important to have a professional perform this treatment! So many complications arise from incorrect techniques and usage.
O.M.G. Sooooo unsanitary - WEAR GLOVES & she didn't remove the numbing cream properly! Cross contaminating allll over the place. THIS is NOT the video directives to follow if you're serious about avoiding infection. "That doesn't even hurt". ITS NOT ABOUT THAT.😮 She even ADMITS to infection from self done threads (which are also HORRIBLE)!

Hi..... The mistake made by all M8 dermapen users is sweeping the face up and down and right and left with the wide strokes. The only correct method is to ALWAYS dab the area to be treated over the entire face. Done this way, you will avoid damaging your skin! Take care

@@catherinemurray2211what explanation is needed? Instead of sliding the pen across the skin, pick it up and move section by section, dab dab dab. Probably takes a LOT longer but it makes sense not to drag the pen across the skin because the needles will be dragging and causing the “wrong” kind of damage.
Im a bit of a do it yourself person also 🙂. I love doing things for myself cut my own hair learn't off youtube. Why pay someone to do what can be done by thyself 😅 ❤
OMG, as a nurse I cringe watching her do this. I've had it done in my dermatologist office, and I've done it at home. You don't drag that pen across your face it's an up-and-down motion.

Hello there, the first time I used my M8 pen at 0.5 I definitely felt it. My face turned a bit red and felt the burning. But the second and third time I used it I felt nothing! Even at 1.5 it did nothing to my skin. Is this normal??? I definitely felt the needles at 1.5/1.75) but my face didn’t even turn red. Maybe my skin turned to cardboard 🤔
I was starting to think that I’m the only person with cardboard for skin! 😅😂 I went up to 1.75 this evening… no pain, no redness nada. 🥴

Go to a professional, and you definitely don’t want to mix a bunch of stuff together and micro needle it in.

I have this MA micro needleing pen I want to use it. I have yet to use it. I want to use this prior to my highler on Penn. I want to get rid of the wrinkles and I want to have my lips plumped because I need to look a little younger due to the stress. The last 10 years of my life. If you could just mumble off the numbing cream and the stuff that you use on your face just did? What is a highlighter on a cassette with that piece of ice just a Haller on a gas it? I know you can't use vitamin C. I just want to do this to scrape off the layers of the old layer of skin old dry layer skin. And I'll probably do this weekly or however often. I feel necessary then use my hylon pen you pump my lips and get rid of these deep lines in my forehead and my smileling I want to. Look at younger. I am young and I personally don't feel that I look mage and I want you because even though beauty's inside when you feel beautiful on the outside. There's nothing like it brings confidence out the wazu am I correct ladies

wait hyaron is a dermal filler which can double as mesotherapy. but how is it effective if you wiill just use dermapen? hyaron is gel type right? is the particle too big for the skin to absorb via dermapen/microneedle?
You did not disinfect skin after wiping off the numbing cream. This is a serious mistake that can result in blood infection. With 1mm depth skin has to be wiped with alcohol, while numbing cream has to be washed off with a cleanser, not just wiped off. If you are a perfectionist like you say and you are here to teach people then teach them do it the right way.

How are you so sure the skin spray for aftercare didn't also have disinfecting products in it? If you can't post without being rude, just skip her videos. How will I know if my blood was infected from doing this? I just wiped off my face with wound cleaner sprayed onto gauze pads and throughly wiped the numbing cream off my face . What signs should I look for that I have a blood infection ?
@@asil0072 if you look at medical websites covering skin prep for microneedling, it literally advises to cleanse the skin after numbing followed by alcohol to disinfect the skin. I’m totally for microneedling, but this whole video is one bad advice and following these steps could lead someone to seriously injuring themselves. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
@@KaleilehuaKaeo-Okimotol have just microneedled for the first time and didn't wash off the numbing cream, l just used rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad to wipe it off. Is that not ok?

I just got an electronic, derma pen by KORABEAUTICALS but I had a doctor respond saying that only mf microneedling works. I was disappointed with his comment. Do you think it’s made a difference? What’s the down time on post treatment? When can you apply make up?
I don’t bother with numbing cream. I can finish before the cream is done working.

Hello are you a licensed esthetician? If not you can’t perform microneedling on people for money, most classes are for licensed skin professionals

Whoa……..I think you did some overkill there. I’ve seen other videos of people using this device and none of them went over the same area again and again. Does it say in the directions that you should do that? No wonder you numbed your face like that.
I did my first micro-needling with the dr. Pen yesterday. I found that my pen would stick now and then. Was I pushing too hard? How would keep that from happening.
You need to apply more product or HA to create slip.

I don't like fillers I read they can migrate to the brain that is BIG risk that no should be willing to take also plastic surgeon on TH-cam is warning women about too much fillers on the face, and what it does to muscle under the skin. So, I'm glad other options exist now

Hi I’m in my 40’s and Im newly single living just outside Toronto Canada with my stunning 18 year old amazing daughter, we are both in school living a very different life. But even though it’s an exciting time. I have NO money for any beauty treatments If and when I do have extra money of course it all goes to my daughter :). I certainly don’t have $5000 to start like you. Even $500 can be hard these days. But I am so excited to see what I can do for both myself and for me daughter. You can do it with nothing, sorta. It's preferential to "have something on the face for slip" like hyaluronic acid. But I've seen some people just use sterile water.

Question, I tried my M8 for the first time yesterday and while I got a little red, it didn't carry over to the next day. How deep are you going?
I will never do that with 10% numbing cream, at least 39% for me 🤣
Think I’m going to try this! But the rejuran used in the video has lidocaine and hylauronic acid in it. So you wouldn’t have to use numbing cream or hylauronic acid serum in addition. There’s a purer version of rejuran called “rejuran s” that is 100% rejuran and would offer better results (the website says). + it’s cheaper :-)

Absolutely excellent instructional videos. I use hyaron mixed with other ingredients using derma pen or sometimes hydra pen microneedler but with no numbing cream. Works very well also. Love your channel, instructions etc. Inspirational to DIY'ers. Thanks for all you do
