Yay, the comment section is back. 😃 Seems TH-cam turned it off for a bit. Is there an authentic Dr. Pen seller in the EU? 🙂 Thanks, now I know more about which Dr. Pen to buy. 😊 I just need to find a reputable seller in the EU.
@@nian60 Hi, if I may jump in, I have just ordered mine from Dermida, Germany. ( I wrote two times about this, it's not hidden publicity). I wanted a Dr. Pen, but if I remember well, couldn't find a trusted site (warranties, supplies etc.). So I chose to get the European version. I didn't have to pay any shipping tax. I think it's in my postal box as we speak, I go check.
Hopefully it will stay on. As I said in this video there is no such thing. But the company I order from will ship to the EU and I know they sell authentic pens x@@nian60
I am a medical aesthetician, laser tech. My face went through a window 15 years ago and I had a lot of small scars from tiny fragments of glass. I also baked in the sun from the time I was about 3 years old because my sister was 8 years older and my mother figure and she did the whole iodine baby oil thing with no sunblock and I did it with her. I'm now 58 and have been doing aggressive microneedling for about 6 years with Tretinoin after each inch section. This is NOT something I would ever do on a client however, I have prepped my skin for years and I know my skin very well. I am a 4 on the Fitzpatrick scale so I have thicker and stronger skin than someone like yourself as u are a 2. I also do my lips, neck, chest, hands, legs, arms, feet etc. I do not us radio frequency with my medical microneedling anymore because I am slim, as is my face and RF heat can slim reduce fat and that is not something I want to do. Again, I would never do this on a client but I am willing to risk it on my own skin because the results have been miraculous. I no longer have any scars, wrinkles or hyperpigmentation! I do not get fillers or Botox or have any plastic surgery!
I would LOVE to pick your brain. Sounds like you know your stuff. Do you use the Dr. Pen on yourself? How did you prep your skin to be able to start using the tret afterwards?
23:19 this right here hurt my heart. 🥺 your neck and chest do not look *crappy*. You're beautiful and a lovely person. The main difference I see is they turn pink sometimes. I'm the same way my chest and face turn pink sometimes. Please don't let those thoughts into your head. Thank you for sharing about your microneedling journey tho. It's good to know how the length of time and consistency can effect our skin. ❤
You are a sweetheart! It does not bother me that much, but I knew if I did not address it, someone would say something as I have gotten some rude comments about it. Thank you for your kind words and for being here xx
Good advice Claudia. As you know, I have an autoimmune disease (MCAS). When I microneedle I only go .050 depth. I also take a Benedryl extra strength beforehand. I also do not do microneedling when I feel a flare coming on. It is always wise to wait a few days, until we are sure we are doing well. I have been doing it for 2 years now, and no bad effects. I get a good result going at a low depth vs deep depth. I hope that helps someone else. You definitely are the PRO at this. I started out learning about it from Penn Smith, but then I found you, and I just connected with your detailed way of explaining things. You are the best!
Hi Susan, it is great to hear that you are able to microneedle with your Autoimmune disease and thank you so much for sharing what works for you! It is always lovely to read your kind comments and I hope you will have a wonderful rest of your week and weekend xx
I used yo mironeedle for at least 4 years every 4 weeks. To be honest I did not see any difference and watched every how to video there was. Use 0.5. I stopped doing it except for my temples where I use minoxidil. The numbing cream I used was aspercreme. Let it set for 30 minutes before washing it off. Does the trick. Glad for anyone who sees a difference in their skin. It's nice of you Claudia to answer all these questions for those who are interested. Have a good cold day in OH. I'm right there with you.😮
Hi Kathy, that is a bummer and I am sorry to hear you did not see any difference from microneedling. Thank you for sharing the numbing cream you used. Stay warm xx
Thank you Claudia! You answered every question I could have ever asked. This video was so informative and easy to understand. As always, I trust your experiences and knowledge. Keep these wonderful videos coming!
Hi Claudia, I have the M8 and use the 16 pin cartridge and I love it. I do both medical and cosmetic micro needling and can see a big difference how ever I have only been doing my face. After listening to you I think I better start doing my neck and dec also! Thank you for your video very helpful ❤
I bought my A6S pen last month as a gift to myself. I'm scared. 😱 So, I have been watching more and more videos than before purchasing. I especially enjoyed this video. I think I might be ready tomorrow. Wish me luck.
@@claudiaglows Just completed my first ever microneedling. It was a little slow in the beginning. I barely turned red and never bleed. I noticed a little pink after an hour. All in all, it was not painful, just a different sensation. I felt the hyaluronic acid more than anything. Thank you for your tutorials. Best regards ✨️ Patrice
Thanks you for mentioning autoimmune diseases. Since the body already has some inflammation i was wondering about doing micro needling. I decided that for me just not worth the risk. But nice to hear it mentioned and kinda confirms my thoughts. Probably times when it’s just fine, but how to know.
Hi Jana, I am glad this was helpful. I would think that cosmetic needling would be ok, or you could even nano needle, which does not even involve needles and also helps with product penetration x
Thank you Claudia. You are a wealth of information. I use the Dr. Pen A6 with a 12 needle for medical and a 36 for cosmetic microneedling. I use Cos de Baha Hyaluronic Acid for slip because I do go in circles.
Brilliant video, Claudia and one I will watch again when I start micro needling. I had used a pen before but I'm not quite sure I saw a difference. I will get the Dr. Pen soon I think. Thank you for sharing. I tried a peel (my first Biorepeel) and micro-needling session (together) in a local salon just before Christmas and I had extremely red and sensitive skin for a week. I did see some results but I wouldn't recommend doing both! xx
Hi, glad you enjoyed this and thank you for your kind words. I agree with you, I have tried the peel and microneedling combo and did not like the discomfort. xx
It’s so interesting to hear you say that about your neck and your chest, Claudia, because I did the same thing all the way up until I was in my mid-50s. I didn’t even think about my neck or my chest in terms of skin care until then. I had heard you should always take your skin care down, but I had no signs of aging in those places at that point, and with the typical arrogance of youth, I just ignored it. Now I can definitely see the difference. I also feel like skincare and sunscreen on my neck and my chest is more out to be rubbed off by clothing or sweat.
Hi Pamela, thank you first bring here. Isn’t it interesting how we did not even give those parts any thought?! Hopefully we can have them catch up at least some x
@claudiaglows I also want to thank you for this tip bc I too never thought of those parts and absolutely would not have thought of my chest (of all places) I am 38 and just started on my journey to rewind age 😂. I want to learn everything possible! I'm grateful to have found your channel
Thank you, my gorgeous friend ❤ I still am learning from a great teacher 🫶 and by the way your neck looks great 🙋♀️ Please keep'em coming and your serums you trust 🫠 bc that's important to me. I need to up my microneedling but our winters are so cold here in Texas 🥶 Thank you for sharing, it does motivate me 🙏🕊
Oh boy do I wish I had listened to this yesterday. I’ve noticed my skin has been sensitized lately as it’s been colder than usual and rainy in Southern California. But with time on my hands, I decided to microneedle with a 16 point pin at .3 depth. I never have a reaction to micro needling, but I definitely did last night. My face went quite red, and even today my face looks sensitized, and is reactive to non-fragrance products, which are part of my usual routine. So I 100% agree with your opinion that not adding inflammation or stress to your skin when you’re not feeling very well, or if you already noticed sensitivity, as a good idea.
I am sorry to hear that. Part of it might also have been the 16 pin cartridge. As I mentioned at the end, I have used that for cosmetic needling before and was surprised how much more intense it felt than the 36 I normally use Hope your skin will calm down very soon x
@@claudiaglows yes I finally got to the end and heard that, and thought to myself oh boy! It felt spicy while I was microneedling. I have purchased, through Alibaba, the 16 point, the 24 point, and the 36 point-but these days I almost always just use the 24 or 36 point. I think I was overly ambitious. Honestly I have taken to mostly doing the .3 depth. I find it to be a nice precipice between cosmetic needling and medical micro needling. I almost feel like I get medical results. And I keep to the protocol of once a month even at this depth. As you know, in the case of micro needling more is definitely not more. I think a lot of people think it is, because you get aplumped appearance that results from inflammation from the healing process. Thank you for this wonderful, in-depth video. I looked at the Allastin nectar and it is just a little beyond my means, but it looks like a beautiful product. My injector sells their products and really swears by them. (autocorrect drives me crazy, all those typos were NOT there when I typed this out)
Dr. Ania said in a video to micro needle at a depth to where there is not any blood at all. Her rationale is that if there is blood in the channels, it will not allow absorption of product you place on immediately after.. I use PRP, the majority of the time; sometimes just growth factors. This really hit home with me. I had been doing 0.5mm, but in certain problem areas like my jowls, would go up to 0.75. To 1mm. Well, I had to stop because it would bleed slightly. My question is this- in the places you go up to 1mm (example on your scar); does it cause any bleeding and what are your thoughts on this? I highly value your input especially with 15 years experience doing this treatment! You are incredible. We are all blessed!
Hi Rhonda, that is really interesting. I actually have found that I barely bleed when stamping, even going a bit deeper. And on my scars on my neck, as they are slightly raised, I have not experienced any bleeding even when going 1mm or deeper. Thank you for your very kind words, I am really happy you are here xo
I appreciate your videos so much! So I had medical microneedling done for the first time a couple of weeks ago. My next appt is in a few weeks and I hope to eventually be brave enough to do this on my own. Honestly it hurt more than I expected but not to the point of tears.. my nose was the worst! It tickled and hurt at the same time! lol My skin is a bit sensitive so I was VERY red that day and the day after. I want to share what reduced the redness.. snail mucin!! I couldn't even believe the difference within 10 minutes so I highly recommend. I definitely see a big difference in my skin so going to continue for sure.
I almost feel doing it myself it’s less than having it done. If you do the next session by yourself, please keep me posted, and do not hesitate to reach out if you need any help. And great tip on the snail mucin ❤️
Thank you so much for this video Claudia you explained it well, very thorough! And as far as anybody commenting about your neck and chest, that’s just crazy. Whatever you’re doing is working well for you, so keep it up and keep on sharing! Have a blessed day! 🥰
Oh boy, im so glad ive found your channel! Im gonna end up binge watching everything... I just appreciate somebody who is as serious about skin as Im trying to be 😊❤️
Dear Claudia, thank you so much for the detailed presentation! 😊 For those who are in Europe: Dermida from Germany has great products for microneedling (if i may say their name). I have just ordered a pack (dermapen plus different heads plus products to use while needling). It's on the way and I can't wait to try. 😊 Hope you can adapt to the new place! 😊
Hi, thank you for bringing here and for mentioning that company for those in Europe. Thought most companies luckily ship world wide Wishing you a great day
@@claudiaglows Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God it had just arrived!!! I like this coincidence and I'm excited to share it with you! 😊 The packaging and everything inside looks very luxurious and I even got free gifts, seringes and needles - apparently I forgot to order them. Ok surely not that expensive, but the thought of the person preparing my order... 😍 I will give you feedbacks Claudia, thank you so much for replying! I don't really remember what held me back from ordering Dr. Pen, but one reason is that I usually try to shop from local businesses. (Ok nothing is local anymore 😕.) Happy needling everyone!
Great to see you ☺️ Hope you are doing ok 😘 Since just finding you in December, I have bought a Dr Pen and some of the Calecim serum. I have done 1 medical and 2 cosmetic sessions so far. It really is wow. Out of all the devices, creams lotions and potions used over the decades, the early results from needling and I think Tretinoin combined, even after 2 sessions, are significant. It’s very powerful. Keep smiling, you are so loved x
Hi Susan, thank you first your lovely comment! I am so happy to hear you are seeing good results with needling. Please continue to keep me posted Have a wonderful weekend ❤️
Great content, as always! I love your videos! Do you remember how long it took for your hypopigmented scar on the face to regain the pigment? Also, did you use any special serum/product for it? I'm trying to fix similar scar. Thanks a lot!🙏❤
Hi Lucia, thank you for your kind comment. You know, it did take quite a while, but back then I did not use a special serum or product as it did not really exist. But with a good growth factor it might heal faster x
Okay, that makes sense. I just tried cosmetic for the first time. They gave me “free” cartridges and they’re 16-pins. The PAIN! Am I ever glad you said at the end that 16-pins on cosmetic feels like medical because that hurt so bad. I couldn’t even do my upper lip and I was sneezing like crazy as it kept tickling nerves or something 😂 wow.
Hi Claudia ! I’m so glad you did this video with in-depth instructions and the differences between medical vs cosmetic micro needling . I have tried some of the serum products from Luxliplab for added results . They have a kit with ampules of peptides that is very good . I actually started doing my body and I see some difference . I don’t spend that much time on it , really just the parts that got damaged from the sun and some at the back of my upper legs eek ! Hope you stay cozy and warm . Have a great week ❌⭕️
Hi gorgeous, glad to hear you are liking some of the luxlip products as well. And good for you doing your body, I really should as well... Today the weather actually turned and now it is in the 50's. Finally time to do my medical needling :) Sending a big hug your way and wishing you a great rest of your week x
great video Claudia.. I have a question? I am doing sculptra. right now. .can i still do microneedling while getting sculptra? Also i have never tried microneedling..what needle depth do you recommend as a beginninger ? any safety precautions I should take when microneedling?
Hi Suzanne, thank you for your kind words. I personally continued micornedling during my sculptra sessions, but waited for a couple of weeks after each session to do so. As I mentioned in this video, I can not really recommend what depth to use, but I would personally start at 0.5mm if I wanted to medical microneedle and see how that feels. Please keep me posted on your experience and good luck with your sculptra x
You’re the reason I bought the teal Dr. Pen. I started as you suggested at.25 near my eyes and lids and .75 every where else for my first time. Second time .25 eyes, 1.25 every where else. I also have autoimmune disease hashimoto. I heal very quickly. Within hours, it’s so mild, next day almost no signs of needling. I love the stamping.
I am glad to hear that you are having fun with microneedling. Personally I would not go every 3 weeks, esp. not at the depth you are going, for the reasons I mentioned in this video. I know it is hard to be patient, but if we cause too much inflammation, or too frequent, we achieve the opposite. x
By the way, your edited comment about the skin on your neck made me lol, very funny! Personally my neck fell apart this year... I woke up one morning and I thought I must have someone elses neck 😂
Hi Claudia! First of all, you are beautiful! I wish I would have started this 15 years ago too! I am new to your channel and just bought an M8s and haven’t started yet. Just wanted to say thank you for your extremely helpful videos!! 😊

I look forward to connecting with you more in the future videos, and please keep me posted on your.Microneedling . Also, please don’t hesitate to reach out if I can help with anything.❤️
Thank you for this informative video Claudia!❤❤❤ I love your content. You’re so thorough and we appreciate it very much!! I’ve been micro needling for five years now. I have both the Derminator two and the doctor pen M8. I take turns using both! I appreciate what you’re saying about the Derminator and its company’s practices. (I do find its motor to be slightly stronger!!). But it might be my perception! I ordered the DEXA Cell. I’m excited to use that for slip. I love your stamping technique. I’m so impatient lately that I’m still using the “little circle” method. I love the Alastin product. Ordered bottle #2. I’m medical needling every five weeks. I think if you can hold off to 5 to 6 weeks it’s even better than doing it monthly. Question: do you use red light after medical needling?
Thank you for your lovely comment and for sharing a bit about your microneedling practice I agree, the Derminator is slightly more powerful. It is unfortunate that they are treating their customers that way Yes, I love using red light after needling and feel it helps speed up healing xx
Hello gorgeous! It’s always so good to see when one of your videos pop up! This was so informative! I’ve always wanted to try microneedling but I’m nervous because of having rosacea. I’m so sorry to hear that your skin is being sensitive right now! This weather has been so very cold lately my skin has been really fussy! Thank you so much for such a detailed explanation sweetheart! Take care and have a wonderful rest of the week beautiful 🥰
Hi gorgeous, great to hear from you again. I too used to have Rosacea and actually feel that microneedling helped. But I understand being nervous. You could always start with cosmetic needling... Sending a big hug your way xoxo
@@claudiaglowsHi beautiful! Sorry I missed your reply! I hope you’re doing well! Thank you so much for your recommendation! I’m so tired of seeing derms and getting meds that haven’t worked. I really need to try microneedling! Have a great day 😘🥰🥰
Hi Claudia! I cosmetically needled tonight (0.25 mm, using the Derminator). I used your stamping technique. So I didn’t need any product. I followed up with the Alastin. Wow. I love it. It’s sublime. What do you generally put on after cosmetic needling?❤ Thanks for great content.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I do not really have a must have product for cosmetic needling. Usually just a growth factor or peptides I happen to have on hand x
Me too. Claudia. I usually used the TNS growth factor post cosmetic needling. But this alastin was very nice. Looking forward to using the Dexa Cell after I medical needle this weekend. PS I love the stamping technique. But I get impatient on my neck and chest, lol. Thank you for amazing content. Your channel has helped me so much!!
Thank you so much for this thorough and extremely informative video! I just bought a dermapen and I'm excited to start my micro needling journey! I subscribed half way through this excellent video. ❤❤❤❤

ooh I love this video Claudia, thank you so much! I also love microneedling but so far have only done it in office but I'd like to do it at home as well with a bit of training in it. You look amazing!
Thank you for your lovely comment Isabella ❤️ I am glad you enjoyed this and if you are going to give at home needling a try, so not hesitate to reach out if I can help with anything x
That was so informative. Thank you. What do you think about nano needling? And when you use the stamp, is that medical or cosmetic? Thanks again for all the great guidance. I believe you are in Ohio? I'm originally from there. Love that state!!
Hi, I am glad this was helpful! I personally use the stamp for cosmetic needling only. As far as nano needling, I have done it, but find it a bit to time consuming for the outcome x
Hi Claudia, great video. I have had the M8 for several years now and it's great. No issues at all. That being said I can't read the numbers on the dial! I don't want to put my glasses on while I'm using it because they aren't sterile so that is my only complaint. Is the new M8-S dial any better? It doesn't look like much of an improvement, if any. I do trust drpenusa as well. A little expensive though. Also, do you use a total of one cartridge per session for both face and neck? I use one on my face and one on my neck but I would sure save money if I only used one per session. It sounded like you said you just use one. Thank you so much!
Hi, glad this was helpful and glad to hear you are liking your M8. But, you are right, the numbers are ridiculously small on the M8. the are a tiny bit bigger on the M8S, I forgot to mention that as an upgrade as well. In the past I have used 2 cartridges, one for the face, on for the neck and chest, even in the same session. Now I often do the neck and chest separately from the face, so I will use two again. I do think it should be ok to just use one though. I would say try it and see what you think. If you feel they have lost some sharpness, it might be worth it to use 2 Keep us posted x
@@patriciapeake4327 unfortunately, as I mentioned, they are made in Chiba, I just have a contact who sells them, but does not make them . But yes, I agree!

Hi Claudia, I find the A6S is more painful than the derminator2. I wish they would improve the needles for all the pens instead of having to buy new pens. Not sure I will purchase from this company again. I hope you are having a wonderful time and adjusting to USA again. Not easy but you have our support and prayers here❤
I've heard that microneedling can help reduce hyperpigmentation and telangectasias (small blood vessels on the surface of the skin). Do you know or have you heard anything about that? Thank you! ❤
Hi Natalie, that is a great question. Personally I have not had it help with broken blood vessels. As far as hyperpigmentation, hopefully someone else will chime in...
Thank you again for this detailed video, Claudia❤. I always use your videos as a guidance how to. I have a question - since you were already regularly microneedling when you started tretinoin, did you have to pause microneedling until your skin aclimatized to tret or you continued needling every 4-6 weeks? Thanks
Hi Lilli, thank you for your kind words No, I did not stop either. But I started very slowly with my tretinoin, only once a week for the first months, then twice for one months and so on. So I just worked it around it and had not problems with it x
@@claudiaglows Thank you! I am going to try medical micro needling with the Calcium at .75. I have the Professional Serum. Hoping for excellent results. You are a beautiful person inside and out!
Glad to know you are in Ohio as you had mentioned recently you would be in San Diego...just saw the news and the flooding in San Diego so glad to know you are not there!!
Hi there Claudia. The weather must be such a shock for you. I'm in NJ & hate the really cold days in the winter. I bought the A6 3 years ago because Penny had mentioned it as one of her first pens. I have nly cosmetic and nano needled. I'm going to MMN this week. I may purchase a new one. I asked a question on Penny's group about MMN with the A6 and no one answered. I'll look into the A6S and the M8S. I cosmetic needle with the 12 pin so will use this for MMN. I have the Cos de Baha HA so will use this. Can I dry stamp with the A6? I will try this after the HA. I'm going to try the 36 pins for cosmetic. I used those a long time ago. Stay warm & cozy :))
Hi, yes it is quite a shock! But luckily it is warming up some. Yes, you can dry stamp with the A6 or any other pen. Please keep me posted on your experience with your first MMN session. And stay warm xo
It's kind of random and totally unrelated to the topic of the video but your accent is so relaxing and soothing to hear. I can't quite place it, where is it from? Amazing vid btw, I learned a lot from it.
Thank you for this highly informative video. Love how calming your voice is, and that you go straight to providing information. Just subscribed! I watched from beginning to end but didn't see any mention of how much downtime after a medical microneedle session. Also, I just checked the url you provided and the M8S does not seem to be available. Is there any way you can check and let us know? Would prefer to give you the credit for the recommendation rather than purchasing from Amazon, etc.
Hi Sally, thank you so much for your kind comment and for joining our little family. I’m really happy to have you. As far as downtime, it really depends on how deep you go and how your skin response. I actually have several videos in which I showed the full procedure, and then come back on camera the next day and the day after to show the downtime. You might find this videos interesting. If you go to playlists, there is a whole playlist on micro needling. For me personally, though, if I go 1 mm deep, the downtime will be between two and three days, with the second and third day, barely noticeable. I just reached out to the company and asked them about the M8S. I will get back to you as soon as I hear from them. Again, thank you for your kind words and your support, I will get back to you soon
So actually already heard back from the company, and they said that on their end, everything is OK. If you want to email me, at.ClaudiaGlows3@gmail.cim, I can get you directly in touch with them and we can figure it out. But they did say they are reaching out to their IT team to see what the problem is since on their end they don’t see one.
@@claudiaglows Thank you so much for the quick response. Very much appreciated! I will for sure watch your videos on microneedling before proceeding. When I clicked on the url, the M8S was not included as one of the product offerings. I will recheck on my pc when I get home. Thank you again!
Hi Claudia! Thank you so much for your videos. They have helped me so much. Two questions. I just did a medical micro needling and I hate having dry, irritated skin after. I used squalane oil 30 minutes after to help with this. It helped a lot and so far I’ve had no reaction. Do you foresee any problem doing this? Does my skin need to go through the inflammation phase to be beneficial? Also do you see any problem starting the soonsu peels two weeks after my medical microneedling?
Hi Darlene, if you have not had a reaction or will hopefully be fine. But I would aim on the site of caution next time and stick with the things I mentioned. Yes, the inflammation is part of the process when microneedling Please keep you posted on your results x
Hi Claudia, This video was so helpful & informative. I’ve never done any type of micro needling before, but want to try it. I have a low pain tolerance, so not sure I could tolerate medical micro needling. Is it even worth the time to do cosmetic at all, and would there be any visible results ? I’ve been thinking about trying this for so long, and definitely will go with Dr. Pen. Thanks again !
Hi Debbie, glad to hear this was helpful. I do think it is worth it to do cosmetic needling. But you might be surprised that it is actually not that painful to medical needle. I did a video with my friend Tamara, where she medical needled with me and she was surprised at the lack of pain. Here is the video th-cam.com/video/MAtN3LRm5c0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ykzlYpFNNkmblfHj, I hope it will be helpful xx
@@claudiaglows I remember watching that video. Maybe I’ll watch it again. So glad she made the trip out to see you ! I may give the medical a go, after trying out the cosmetic needling first. Now that you’re in the States, maybe you can visit Tamara some time. 🥰

I cant thank you enough for this video! I just did my first session a few days ago and definitely wished i had seen this video prior to my session 😩 First, id like to say how calming your voice is! Its beautiful! I also wanted to ask, how long should we wait before applying moisturizer? My first session, i did 1.0mm I am using La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 hylauronic acid afterwards and nothing else besides my "Derma-E vitamin E moisturizer" My skin seems to be a bit irritated with this brand of HA and im not sure why (i heard you mention a different form of HA. Maybe thats why?? Im going to use the one you suggested to see if that helps, but would still like your feedback on the irritation i am experiencing with this product if possible) Also, how long should we wait before applying makeup? I subscribed to your channel :) Another question, sorry! 😩 Are you familiar with RF? Is it safe to use RF with medical microneedling? If so, can both be used in the same day? Thank you again
Hi Shannon, I am really happy you are here, and thank you so much for your very kind words. Regarding the hyaluronic acid you are using, I’m not sure if it is pure, hyaluronic acid, know if it is high molecular weight. I will definitely not continue to use it if you feel it, irritates your skin. As far as applying moisturizer, to be on the safe side, I would wait 24 hours. You have open channels after micro needling, especially when you go 1 mm deep, and we want to make sure that nothing that shouldn’t go into those channels is applied to the skin. So, if it were me, I would stick to products that can be used with or after medical micro needling for at least the first 24 hours, if not, 48 hours. And yes, I am familiar with radio frequency, however, radio frequency, micro needling in office is very different than micro needling at home, and then using weight frequency. It does not give the same results, and I would not recommend doing both in the same day. After medical micro needling, I personally would wait with at home radio frequency for at least five days to let the skin heal I hope this helps, if not, please do not hesitate to ask for the questions Have a wonderful Sunday and I look forward to connecting with you more and the future videos xx
Hello Claudia, I hope you are doing very well and have a bit recuperated after your big move. I wish you all the best.🥰 I have a question about growth factors for the facial skin. I see you have used a couple of different products. Do you have any particular growth factor that in your opinion is the best and really helps with wrinkles. Especially wrinkles on the neck and the lower jowls? thanks for any reply. 🥰
Hi Sonja, it is lovely to hear from you. To be honest, while I am a fan of growth factors and believe in the science, I can't say I see a big difference with them as far as wrinkles and jowls. For me they make more of a difference in skin quality and sensitivity. Some that I like are Neogenisis recovery, Calecim MAC and then there are of course products like I showed, that can be needled in
Dear Claudia , I keep going back to your videos whenever I am down and want to get hope and motivation. I know you have been doing combination of procedures including LAN luma injection in the past but out of you gut feeling , can you point to what one single procedure led to your healthy cheeks looking like healthy and plump ? Sorry for keep nudging you with our questions but I must admit I am not on track with all your videos 🙏
Thank you so much for yet another informative video, Claudia! I've read that polyglutamic acid is even more hydrating than hyaluronic acid, more affordable and it is also high molecular weight. Do you know if this can be used instead of hyaluronic acid?
Hello beautiful - I think that the needle gauge also makes a huge difference! I believe that some of the Dr. Pen cartridges have different gauges - the newer M8 and M8s models are definitely more 'painful' than the A6 :) Thank you! ... Blessings xoxox ... by the way - how does one email you? :)
I loved this video but I clicked on your link and I don’t see the m8s on the site. Do you think they discontinue that or do you think they are just out of stock because it does not even pull up?
Claudia, thank you for the reminders to protect and treat neck & chest areas! As far as gauge of the needles is concerned, how do the Dr. Pen cartridge needles compare to a dermaroller? I’m currently using the Alitura dermaroller and am curious about the difference. I know the answer varies by Dr. Pen model most likely but are they thinner, thicker or relatively similar in gauge? Thank you!
As always thank you for your informative videos! If I missed this my apologies… After home medical microneedling the face, do you pause using red light therapy on the face? I have read some say to wait 48 hours before resuming, and some say you can resume red light therapy the following day. Thank you! 🙏🏼
Thank you for this video Claudia! ❤You explain everything so clearly! I would like to know if there is a problem in case Dr pen is not the authentic one Thank you for the information! You really look great!
Hi, I am glad you enjoyed this. I am honestly not sure what the risk is of using an unauthentic pen, but my worry would be the needles being bent or a material other than stain less steel. Also the mechanism might be faulty..
Thank you for all of the very informative videos! Can you please tell me the type of hyaluronic acid to use after medical microneedling? But you prefer to use the Alastin Regenerating Skin Nectar? Thank you! Hope it gets warmer for you soon! -dena
Hi, thank you for being here. In the past I used the Cos de Baha HA, but now I do prefer the Alastin for after. It is however quite expensive, vs the HA is cheap x
Another great videoClaudia. I go down to 1mm to be honest.. and at 1,5mm only at my jowls.. no need to go deeper.. It is at the depths that I had the best results.. but this is just my personal experience it is not a guideline.. It may help with jowls but it is certainly not a remedy..
It helps a but its not a "cure".. I am about to begin a TCA peel, series.. the one from Platinum Skincare at a 13% concentration for the next 4 months and then continue the M. N.. curious to see the results.. I am thinking of using the CURENEX ampoulles for these sessions.. lets see ❤
@@Efrosyni300460 Hi! Are you in Greece? (I am) would love to chat to someone else who does MN and is about to do the platinum skincare TCA which I also bought but am afraid to use 😅 I'm afraid I will mess up my skin barrier if am not careful
@Efrosyni300460 Question. I really want to start peels. But I couldn't figure out which ones to buy... If I asked them on platinum would they help? I appreciate any help. Also what Dr. Penn do u use?
@@BlessedMomfmTexas I'm not efrosyni but we seem to be on a similar path :) I got the mandelic and 13% TCA from platinum skincare but now kind of wish I got the 30% TCA which can be diluted with tap water to make it pretty much any percentage strength. Surely platinum SC people can guide you but I would research TCA if I were you as it seems to be a holy grail of sorts. Strong and potentially dangerous if instructions are not followed but totally worth it if done right 👍
I *really* appreciate you listing your serums/sites used. I’ve been out of microneedling for a little over two years because I got pregnant and never got back into it. I just nano needled for the first time last night and was wondering what products have come out the last two years for cosmetic/medical. So, thank you. I do have one question… what would be the reasoning behind medical needling at 1.5-3.0mm? The pen goes that deep for a reason. What concerns would be addressed by going that deep? I’m just curious. ****I just edited my typos.
Have you ever used Rona’s Stem cells for medical microneedling afterwards? Also, how long do you have to wait to apply makeup and sunscreen after medical MN?
Hi Lyndsay, I have not tried that one. I would wait at least 24 hours to apply spf and longer (if possible) for makeup, maybe 2 days. Personally I use mineral spf the next day x
Hi Terri, I used to during and after. I actually used it during full slip when I was still doing circles. But I would still use it during to needle it in.
Thank you, Claudia. I recently purchased the M8 but have not had an opportunity to use it. I so appreciate the information in this video! I was a little confused as to the differences of cosmetic, medical and nano needling. Do you nano needle and if not can you share why you don't? Again, very helpful information...thank you! Safe travels.
Hi Dawn, I am glad this was helpful and I am curious to hear about your experience with microneedling. I have nano needled but found it to time consuming for the outcome x
I just bought the A9, I am an RN so quite comfortable with infection control. I was only planning to cosmetically needling with 24pin but now hearing what you said I am now having self doubt. I am also going to do stamping method but will use Sterile Nsaline for extra hydration and slip.
Very informative video! Thank you :) Ive got a question, what is the 'anti-back flow' feature on the cartridges used on the M8S? Does it stop the serums from moving to the back of the cartridge or something?
I know you said you’re not a doctor, but I’m wondering if you’ve ever looked into whether the products you put on during and after microneedling at 0.5mm depth for example, are more likely to get absorbed into your lymphic system or bloodstream at that depth (more than if they were applied to unmicroneedled skin!).
I say that because everyone talks about using hyaluronic acid afterwards, but I’m a little nervous about whether that would have the same health implications as injecting filler
@@claudiaglowsthanks for your reply! And well, you definitely don’t look like someone who’s been using filler for 15 years (I mean that as a compliment! - celebs seem to start looking a bit odd after using filler in half the time!) so I probably have nothing to worry about!
I’m curious what your thoughts are regarding the length of time to wait between medical microneedling sessions of the scalp (1.5mm depth)? As always, great content!
Personally I would use the same time frame as on the face, so very 4 weeks But, the scope is thicker, so it might be possible to Reed more frequently, however, I’m not sure
Hi Claudia, I am new to your channel and also to microneedling. I've followed your links, and I have ordered a couple of products for cosmetic needling. I've also ordered the M8S pen a couple of days ago. Is there a mistake somewhere because they told me that the M8S only comes with 18, 36 pin, and the Nano? You've mentioned that it comes with 12,18,24,36, and 42 pin cartridges and 3 different Namos. 🤔
Hi Rose, I am very happy to have you as part of this little family Glad to hear that some videos have been helpful. You know, I asked them about this as well, since I was under the impression that there was a whole array of cartridges available for M8S, but the company told me that some of the cartage were not really popular so they discontinued them. So, personally, I used the 16 pin cartridge to go deeper, for medical microneedling and 36 pin cartridge for cosmetic needling I hope that helps. Please never hesitate to reach out if you have any questions xx
I found your video very informative and because of it have made the choice to use the Dr pen device. I was using the qure system but need something a little more affordable. I am a new subscriber as well. Thank you!
Hi, I am really happy you are here and am glad to hear you find sine if my videos helpful Please never hesitate to reach out if you have any questions x
Are there any completely natural things we can apply directly after and the days after medical microneedling? I am thinking of distilled water with some honey.... or goatmilk
Yes please Claudia I have a very important question but first I want to say I love you so much and God bless you for sharing those information with all of us! Could u tell me how come u never try out Procell Therapies micoochanaling?? My understanding it's way better than microneedling? Thanks for answering
So I just took a quick look and it looks like something that is done in spas/ doctors offices. I am not sure at home devices for it are available. Do you know if they are?
Well if you purchase it from Procell Therapies Rep they will certify you because it's very easy to be trained on to use then you on your on !! But as u stated does it need a lisencing? You might be an esthetician probably 🤔
I was wondering how much of a difference has this made your neck area as far as effective change and progress vs. thinking about getting a neck lift? I have some damage to my neck tissue not crazy but in 10 years it will probably look worse just wanted to know what your opinion is on the neck specifically I am about to purchase a Dr pen and mainly use your channel for guidance thank you for your content
Hi Sonny, that is a great question. I think it has made some, but def. not as much as a lift would. Though, even if one gets a lift, I think it would still be good to keep up needling as maintenance. Thank you for your kind words and for being here x
Hi!! I have a question. Can I use a derma roller and spray tan the following day? Also, can I use a derma roller and put on make up the next day? I know you’re using a Dr. Pen, so I’m assuming you can’t use spray tan/put on make up if you’re micro needling with a pen? That’s why I’m wondering about a derma roller. Thank you sooo much!
Hi, it really doesn’t matter which device you use, what matters is that you’re creating tiny puncture wounds. So no personally I would not get a spray tan Noa applying make up the next day. If you go shallow, .25 mm, that’s different. But anything .5 mm a deeper, I would wait at least a couple of days.

But the company I order from will ship to the EU and I know they sell authentic pens

Thanks for this. You should do a video showing what your skin and its texture looked like 15 years ago before the first time you micro needled.
That is a great idea, thank you

Are you using vitamin C? I’m finding hard to decide what to use
Hi Nancy, I have tried it as well, and ouch, it is intense. Good for you for being able to handle it
xx
I would LOVE to pick your brain. Sounds like you know your stuff. Do you use the Dr. Pen on yourself? How did you prep your skin to be able to start using the tret afterwards?
RF heat can reduce fat? 👀 interesting…
Hi are you saying straight after microneedling you use tretinol and if so which one do you use please
Nancy, do you think medical microneedling can help burn scars? I have a lot of burn scars from a med spa lasering my legs. They are all purple scars.
Thank you for your kind words and for being here

Hi patris what about the results are you see any benefits
Thanks you for mentioning autoimmune diseases. Since the body already has some inflammation i was wondering about doing micro needling. I decided that for me just not worth the risk. But nice to hear it mentioned and kinda confirms my thoughts. Probably times when it’s just fine, but how to know.
Hi Jana, I am glad this was helpful. I would think that cosmetic needling would be ok, or you could even nano needle, which does not even involve needles and also helps with product penetration

Hopefully we can have them catch up at least some

Πολλά ευχαριστώ για τις ενδιαφέρουσες πληροφορίες. Φοβόμουν την χρήση του microneedling αλλά με έπεισες να το δοκιμάσω. Είσαι υπέροχη.
As I mentioned at the end, I have used that for cosmetic needling before and was surprised how much more intense it felt than the 36 I normally use
Hope your skin will calm down very soon
x

Since just finding you in December, I have bought a Dr Pen and some of the Calecim serum. I have done 1 medical and 2 cosmetic sessions so far. It really is wow. Out of all the devices, creams lotions and potions used over the decades, the early results from needling and I think Tretinoin combined, even after 2 sessions, are significant. It’s very powerful.

Does this help for wrinkles?
Of course. Stimulates the fiberblast cells.
But with a good growth factor it might heal faster

Hi Heather, isn't it amazing what a difference it makes?! I felt the same way..
And good for you doing your body, I really should as well...

great video Claudia..
Please keep me posted on your experience and good luck with your sculptra

Hi Diana, isn't it strange how that happens seamingly over night?!

I love your content.
Thank you for your lovely comment and for sharing a bit about your microneedling practice
I agree, the Derminator is slightly more powerful. It is unfortunate that they are treating their customers that way
Yes, I love using red light after needling and feel it helps speed up healing

Hi Claudia!
I cosmetically needled tonight (0.25 mm, using the Derminator). I used your stamping technique. So I didn’t need any product. I followed up with the Alastin. Wow. I love it. It’s sublime.
What do you generally put on after cosmetic needling?❤
Thanks for great content.
Glad to hear you enjoyed it. I do not really have a must have product for cosmetic needling. Usually just a growth factor or peptides I happen to have on hand

Me too. Claudia. I usually used the TNS growth factor post cosmetic needling. But this alastin was very nice.
Looking forward to using the Dexa Cell after I medical needle this weekend.

If you feel they have lost some sharpness, it might be worth it to use 2

Thanks
Hi Lilli, thank you for your kind words
No, I did not stop either. But I started very slowly with my tretinoin, only once a week for the first months, then twice for one months and so on. So I just worked it around it and had not problems with it

Great videos thanks Claudia! We need a skin care update soon!

Yes, the inflammation is part of the process when microneedling
Please keep you posted on your results

I cant thank you enough for this video!
I just did my first session a few days ago and definitely wished i had seen this video prior to my session 😩
First, id like to say how calming your voice is! Its beautiful!
I also wanted to ask, how long should we wait before applying moisturizer? My first session, i did 1.0mm
I am using La Roche-Posay Hyalu B5 hylauronic acid afterwards and nothing else besides my "Derma-E vitamin E moisturizer"
My skin seems to be a bit irritated with this brand of HA and im not sure why (i heard you mention a different form of HA. Maybe thats why?? Im going to use the one you suggested to see if that helps, but would still like your feedback on the irritation i am experiencing with this product if possible)
Also, how long should we wait before applying makeup?
I subscribed to your channel :)
Another question, sorry! 😩
Are you familiar with RF?
After medical micro needling, I personally would wait with at home radio frequency for at least five days to let the skin heal
I hope this helps, if not, please do not hesitate to ask for the questions
Have a wonderful Sunday and
I look forward to connecting with you more and the future videos

As far as gauge of the needles is concerned, how do the Dr. Pen cartridge needles compare to a dermaroller? I’m currently using the Alitura dermaroller and am curious about the difference. The reason some might want to go that deep is for things such as acne scars, or to treat the body

Very informative video! Thank you :) Ive got a question, what is the 'anti-back flow' feature on the cartridges used on the M8S? Does it stop the serums from moving to the back of the cartridge or something?
Hi, glad this was helpful. Yes, that is my understanding. Though I never had a problem with serums running back with other cartridges
xx
I know you said you’re not a doctor, but I’m wondering if you’ve ever looked into whether the products you put on during and after microneedling at 0.5mm depth for example, are more likely to get absorbed into your lymphic system or bloodstream at that depth (more than if they were applied to unmicroneedled skin!).
I say that because everyone talks about using hyaluronic acid afterwards, but I’m a little nervous about whether that would have the same health implications as injecting filler
It def. would not be the same as injecting filler. It will not go as deep
That is a great question. I think everything gets absorbed to one extent or another, but by how much more when microneedled is hard to know
@@claudiaglowsthanks for your reply! And well, you definitely don’t look like someone who’s been using filler for 15 years (I mean that as a compliment! - celebs seem to start looking a bit odd after using filler in half the time!) so I probably have nothing to worry about!

I've also ordered the M8S pen a couple of days ago. Is there a mistake somewhere because they told me that the M8S only comes with 18, 36 pin, and the Nano? You've mentioned that it comes with 12,18,24,36, and 42 pin cartridges and 3 different Namos. 🤔
Hi Rose, I am very happy to have you as part of this little family
Glad to hear that some videos have been helpful.
You know, I asked them about this as well, since I was under the impression that there was a whole array of cartridges available for M8S, but the company told me that some of the cartage were not really popular so they discontinued them. So, personally, I used the 16 pin cartridge to go deeper, for medical microneedling and 36 pin cartridge for cosmetic needling
I hope that helps. Please never hesitate to reach out if you have any questions
xx
I found your video very informative and because of it have made the choice to use the Dr pen device. I was using the qure system but need something a little more affordable. I am a new subscriber as well. Thank you!

Are there any completely natural things we can apply directly after and the days after medical microneedling?
I am thinking of distilled water with some honey....
or goatmilk
Hi Sara, I could think that honey might be ok, as it is anti bacterial. I am not sure about goats milk. If you try either, please keep us posted.
Yes please Claudia I have a very important question but first I want to say I love you so much and God bless you for sharing those information with all of us! Could u tell me how come u never try out Procell Therapies micoochanaling?? My understanding it's way better than microneedling? Thanks for answering
Hi Carmen, thank you for your lovely comment. I have honestly never heard of Procell but will def. look into it
xo
So I just took a quick look and it looks like something that is done in spas/ doctors offices. I am not sure at home devices for it are available. Do you know if they are?
Well if you purchase it from Procell Therapies Rep they will certify you because it's very easy to be trained on to use then you on your on !! But as u stated does it need a lisencing? You might be an esthetician probably 🤔
I can look further into it...@@carmenyatooma1929
Hello Claudia! Do you still use your cica exosome cream from dermaline or the nectar serum is even more powerful for recovery?
Hi Dimitri, actually I just needled yesterday and today I used both, the serum and then the cica cream and I will be doing so for a few days.

Your eye definitely look former and younger. Would you say it is from microelectronic or a combination of things?
You are sweet, but I think it is just lighting. To me, they look the same, unfortunately ;(
I was wondering how much of a difference has this made your neck area as far as effective change and progress vs. thinking about getting a neck lift? I have some damage to my neck tissue not crazy but in 10 years it will probably look worse just wanted to know what your opinion is on the neck specifically I am about to purchase a Dr pen and mainly use your channel for guidance thank you for your content
Hi Sonny, that is a great question. I think it has made some, but def. not as much as a lift would. Though, even if one gets a lift, I think it would still be good to keep up needling as maintenance.
Thank you for your kind words and for being here

@@claudiaglows thank you SO much!!!
One last question… what derma roller would you recommend?
