Wonderful interview! A wealth of ideas in a rich discussion. Can’t wait for Badiou to come on the show (and maybe Balibar and Ranciere encore!)

I was taught by one of their (Althusserians) Spanish counterparts, Juan Carlos Rodríguez (Universidad de Granada). He also didn't hide his Marxist/Freudian "background". A game changer for me. The English-speaking world has heard from him through the writings of Malcolm K. Read (Stony Brook University, New York). Nice new channel, congrats!

There's much said about Balibar and Althusser does anyone have any thing on Balibar and Wallerstein ~ is the splitting between Althusser and Balibar captured by proxy in the tensions between Lacan and Deleuze? Between Analytical and Continental Philosophy? >>>>>

Really intriguing to see the interviewer in constant movement as he speaks.

@@prasantbanerjee8199 @maxvond what are you two even talking about? Would you actually say such a thing in public to someone's face? I don't think so. If you're so distracted by movement maybe you should look at the wall.

I saw him speak what must have been almost ten years ago in the same large or double-sized far upstairs room Peter Greenaway did a questions section (on another occasion) in in Berkeley. It was overplussed with young people who were likely in the so-called designated emphasis in critical theory and other ghastly human subjects... Haha.. Wendy Brown.. in the front row. A boring talk.. everyone was stupendously full of nervous energy . to see the famous professor... They had a woman of similar stature and politics speak on south American politics a few years later in a tiny room in a nearby building. With, however, basically the same atmosphere of youthfully confused emotions shaking the room into some kind of hidden prestige chamber. The general public tragically knows less than nothing of such ephemeral and utterly meaningless happenings... Haha. This excitable interview guy on the vid looks like Jordan Peterson. Maybe he is uncannily breeding!? !!!

Instead of analysis of living reality, we have here *_banal menshevik historical comparisons_* ! I could have got the same information from an ordinary bourgeois news media outlet ahaha XD To claim supporting NATO imperialism in Ukraine is somehow fighting imperialism is a total confusion of the concept of imperialism.
