Dr. West, its skinny Matthew from Stop Stop & Frisk. Please start doing regular short videos, 4 minutes. These long segments you film are great. But the attention span of the average viewer is considerably shorter. We need to see vids of you every other day, short ones.
Yes it’s embarrassing to say but Dr west is such a scholar that he has to dumb it down quite a bit. Or issue out an updated enciclopedia and dictionary to every American.

I remind Dr. West of the play Day of absence. The play depicts common and opprrssed people go missing for a day. It depicts the problems of the rulimg class because of this absense. I submit as we work everyday we fuel the evils of these empires. People of the world need to unite and strike until the ruling class get it right.

he never utters a word agains technology and technique ... How lame. Instead the same broken record of Blues, Coltrane and lost black purity... Bogus!
Technology and technique are but extensions of the human condition-- if the human condition is X, technique will be X1, X2, X3, etc., and technology will be X1.0, X2.0, X3.0, etc. Why are many people freaking out about AI? Because of who is programming and setting it free-- you and I have met that enemy, and it is us.
This is another cut at what Dr. West means when he talks about Catastrophe and 'The Mess'. So there's nothing lame about this perspective. So, for him, the music of John Coltrane and the Blues, generally, become a salve; a way to get past the trauma experienced in catastrophe. In Homer's "Iliad" and "Odyssey," even after all the bloody goings on the characters go through, they acknowledge they must eventually eat, drink, and sleep-- life goes on for those of us who remain. That's the Blues and Coltrane and all that. Nothing bogus about this.
Lost black purity? You made that up, so just erase and tighten up the understanding.
