I simply dont like Nokia HMD designs. Never bought one. But always always looking forward fpr a redesign. Even their candy bar phones from good old symbian could be used with full screen. Just like the 7610.. put the front cam in the bezel top right.

The most remarkable aspect of Nokia phones for me was their software, especially the UI. The UI in Lumia looks so fluid and dynamic as compared to the bland and boring UI in Android and iOS today.

It's utterly unusable though. Even with that massive screen you can barely fit a few items on screen with the metro UI style. Android, while not as pretty maybe, is way more usable and iOS, well I don't know why people like it xD

Some androids today you can't get 6 icons across the screenm.
Android UI is boring? Windows Phone UI couldn't be altered with themes.
Ofcourse there will always be people who disagree, I am pro android I would never buy an iPhone but if I was richest person in the world I would pay to make me a windows phone today. It was so colourful and unique.
I really miss Lumia. My first Lumia was 520. The last was 950.

Back in those days the Lumia 1520 was a giant with a 6 inch screen and an excellent battery life
Actually, it was the width of the phone that was big thing. It's was 6" high but was so much wider than any other phone

This was a true flagship!
I still have mine. After 2 broken screens it's on its 3rd. Still works like a champ and the battery holds a charge for quite a long time. Upgraded to Windows 10 a couple of years ago.
I still have mine but the battery died.
Lumia is still my favourite lineup to this day

2014 was a beautiful year
I got this phone for 2 years and it was one of the amazing phones i ever had. Snapdragon 800, Wireless charging, pure view camera, and a screen that i thought it was amoled since the black was really black like amoled because of nokia's clear black tech. If windows mobile got all support and apps like apple and android, maybe this OS still exist today.
Everytime when I see a video on Nokia Lumia phones....I newly fell in love with them again....there is just so many things to talk abt them which were way cooler and outstanding in dull world of iOS and Android back then

May be ahead of IOS definitely but not android , as a former WP use , in android back than MediaTek chip it was just one Click root , I remember you can easy hack others's wifi using brute forces and Thier IP address , when screen recording was considered miracle you can do that with root
( and one iOS user was yapping that other don't have screen recording 🤣)
Also you could underclock/overclock your device according to your needs , also I remember you could use REAL windows xp in android phone using some kind of ISO emular I guess 🙄 , but it was laggier..
Also remember android has freedom so you can make your android look like WP but you can't do anything on WPn, also it had very bad external app support even outside store. , you needed PC to install apps ...
also the lineage os custom rom had more customisable features and user adaptability specially after android 5 launch ( if I remember) , ..
But hey I still would never forget that vibe my dad's Lumia 625 gave 😎
I remember my friends 16 GB rom phone was filled up and lagging but not even single problem in 0.5 GB ram Lumia
1520 and 930 were my absolute favourite, best Lumia phones, let me rephrase it, the best phone in design, camera, and reliability ever launched until that time, so much ahead of time, like hmd global talk about user satisfactions, no phone is ever reached the level of satisfaction reached by these two phones
had the lumia 920 and still do, shame none of the speakers work, and cant access the phone on windows to transfer photos

HMD has to bring back the clear black display tech, now that there are no more pure display tech phones from them.
The Nokia 7 plus from 2018 from HMD has clear black display. Clear black display is basically a polarized display to make the black more black. Sometimes, you can't tell that the 7 plus has only have an IPS display because of that. Colors are vibrant and blacks are deeper compared to conventional IPS displays.
8.1 has pureview.

Back in 2013 I was so excited when it just launched, I was even pick my Casio fx-570 calculator and imagine it as the Lumia 1520 due to similar size. But sadly I was only a student back then and I was unable to afford this such an expensive flagship
Those tiles and animations. On top of Nokia design…still my dream phone. I couldn’t afford it back then, I had to contend with the base model Lumia 610. Wish windows phone makes a comeback…
I really miss my Lumia 1520! So many things about it was ahead of its time! I had originally gone with the Note 3 at the time then later bought the Lumia 1520. At first I missed the note taking features of the Note 3 but eventually adjusted and really appreciated the Lumia offerings and the beauty of the Windows Phone OS.

This is my 1st windows phone. I chose it over the Note 3 that time. Loving its polycarbonate build and also the large screen by the time at 6 inches. I remember I'm undecided between the 1020 and the 1520, eventually I chose 1520 because of large display.

I had lumia 920 back in the days and i tell you these devices were beasts... Loved the software and loved their camera especially
I love Nokia phones, I had 5 of them, one of them that can be slide to open and close. I am currently using iPhone but seriously planning on going back to Nokia phone. I would want to get this 1520, yellow is so bright and beautiful! Thank you Abdullah for continuing to update on this phone.🇦🇺🇵🇭💖
Nokia Lumia and HTC were hitting hard in 2011-2017. It's pity that both of them are near death now.

This phone was such a nice design and great build quality. If ever there was a phone that almost converted me to the Windows Mobile platform it was this one. But at the time the asking price was too steep and I ultimately chose to go on with BlackBerry and it’s BB10 OS and devices. There is a reason why I’ve always liked Nokia phones and this device is an example of why that is.

An updated version of the 1520 is my dream Nokia device. I had a white one and absolutely loved it. It may possibly be my favourite Nokia. Even now Nokia's are missing lots of the features that went into the 1520. When people say....... They don't make them like they used to, it's especially true of Nokia. Nokia is big on nostalgia...... So come on, give us an updated version. Great video👍

I had Lumia 950 back then & all I ever wanted in that phone was a TH-cam app 😭😭. After 2 years of use I sold it to my friend & brought Samsung galaxy S4.
We got one of the best TH-cam clients for Windows phone made by Nokia... then google forced them to remove it 2 weeks later. MyTube was awesome for TH-cam though.

Whenever I watch your videos my eyes are going to fill with tears. I used nokia X2 01 Lumia 610 and Lumia 520. I always wanted to purchase the nokia N8 but didn't accomplished that desire. Today I use iphone 7 and ONEPLUS 9r but honestly that feeling which we got in the Nokia phones are far superior and classic than this

Something I loved about Lumia devices was the fact that you could use them even with gloves on, I think most of them were capable of it. I had the Lumia 720, and it was amazing for being a relatively budget smartphone

This was my dream phone back then. I also had a Lumia 640 XL.
I miss mine. Best phones ever. When apps started to disappear, and it got to the point where I couldn’t even use it to make basic tasks happen, it was time to go. Very very sad.
It was a solid beast. I have uploaded some concert videos, because of the AWESOME built in microphones (although I hate recording at concerts) and the sound was and is still over the top. Over 100+decibel and you can hear everything crystal clear.
Now my behemoth sits in a cupboard along with my 920. I just don't want to get rid of them since they hold special place in my world. thanks for some nostalgia.
I remember Nokia Mixradio which played new music matching our listening style - it had the best music collection at that time.

I’m still in love with my yellow 1520 under Win10 mobile. Edge back then helped a lot mitigate the lack of apps. My following phone was a Nokia 7 plus until I finally entered the iPhone ecosystem. But this 1520 is still the best phone that ever was, to me :)

To own a windows phone was a dream when i was a kid..but sadly,when i finally able to buy one,they stopped it. But i have a dream of porting that os to work on an android device of this time...because ,the os was so optimized like ios,and was a charm ,but the lack of apps and cheap android adaptation killed it😥
Nokia still have to collaborate with windows...and stay charming...
Absolutely one of the best designs and best phones ever. I wish phones were designed this well again. Maybe worth doing a series about current day phones that have exceptional designs. It'll probably be short though heh.

That would be awesome. The big screen is very much fitted for Meego's superb multitasking capabilities.I'm sure if it was properly developed, it might have a multi screen or split screen display.
@@aishite_imasu097 Very true, as Nokia were well ahead of the game regarding OS features (multitasking, gestures etc) and going on the 1520 was some time after the N9, theoretically it would have been developed/updated more 🤔😏

I remember getting my first "phablet" back in the day and I did a video meeting and watched a Movie on the same device on my sofa. It rly felt like the future
DAMN, i really love lumia phones. starting from 520, 630, 920, 1520, 1020, and last 930 xl.
Man just imagine if HMD reuse this design for their flagship android, it would be amazing.
I had this and I loved it. Bought another same phone for the first time when i broke my first one. And before using it I was hesitant about the size but after using it I couldn't imaging using something smaller. The software update added support for 4k video and the quality was much better than 90% of 4k om phone even in 2022! No lie. Also the OIS was the best. Plus the AOD. And when companies use buzz trademark words for useless tech it makes me cringe but the Clear Black was amazing. Felt like an OLED. The polarization was amazing. Man. I miss this. I still have the dead shells... Why don't other manufacturers use binning? Nokia used binning so well. 1080 was so sharp and detailed because the full sensor readout was used to downsample that to 1080. But now they just waste those pixels. So sad.
