This was and still is my dream school. Since junior high school, I have dreamt of my 18 year old self roaming around UP wearing that bright Iska smile and bringing with me that iskolar ng bayan fighting spirit. It's UP or nothing for me. For three years I have prepped my self for the UPCAT, gathered online reviewers, maintained my grades to make it to the cut off, asked the iskas and iskos that I know for some tips that they can share about UPCAT. I was so eager to graduate because I know that UP awaits me. But syempre, life has its ways to mess you up. 2018, month of September, aka month for UPCAT, bagyong Ompong hit our province so bad that we didn't have electricity for a month. Thought I lost the chance for UP, but little did I know, UPCAT got rescheduled on October. Never got the chance to fix things up. Ended up not taking UPCAT at all. Heartbreaking, I know. But life doesn't stop there. Currently enrolled in a university in the nearby city, taking up Psychology, still fighting for the dream, just in a different uni. Maybe it's not yet the time for me to be an Iska. See you, UP Law. Iskolar ng Bayan soon. ❤
I got the chance to get my test permit on taking UPCAT, but it's sad because on the day of my examination I got a high fever, and I said to myself that I can't achieve my dream to be an Isko, In my whole life I dreamed myself roaming around the UP Diliman Campus but that will just be my forever's dream. If I will have my children in the future, I will let them go to any University that they want, I want them to experience the things that I didn't experience in my life. I will be forever grateful that UP is my memorable things in my life.
Dream ko din mag UP kaya lang I never had a chance to take the UPCAT. But I'm also planning to take up Law in UP Diliman. Kaya laban lang girl. I hope to see you soon in UP.😊

I forced my then bf to study here with me in the 90s. It was UP or nothing for me kasi dito lang entrance exams na kinuha ko. 😅 Sakto pinalad naman. Happy lang na nakapasok din anak namin sa UPD. Nakaka-miss ang UP. ❤️
UP is one of the WORLD CLASS Universities here in the Philippines. Most UP Isko's and Iska's are Open Minded and very approachable. ❤️
Sana ibalik ang show nato dami na iinspire na kabataan makapagtapos at maabot ang kanilang pangarap in whatever situation .

@@iamanexol3211 I can't because I am now a senior undergraduate student from not a well-known provincial college. Despite of that I will definitely take up my MA at UP Diliman.
My Whole Family Studied Here also my Aunt and Uncle 90percent of my Cousins and Mostly all of their friends and my friends also. Ako lang hindi Kasi theater gusto kooo. ayaw ni mama. 😭😭😭😢 so i ended up studying Psychology on UST. 😅

@@dgpaul16 Hello, thank you for this!! Unfortunately I didn't pursue UP because I think low of myself talaga that time but now I'm satisfied with my school, I'm studying sa PUP po taking Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.

Given na matatalino tlaga ang.mga UP students magsikap at magsipag lang para nman sa honors on graduation day. My 2 daughters are both graduate of this school, one in diliman campus and the other at los baños. Mabuhay ang UP!❤

Might consider UP Open University Los Baños as well. Since we are now exposed to flexible mode of learning (Open & Distance Education). Mig Zubiri, Jejomar Binay and Toni Gonzaga are some of their iconic graduates.

Never in my wildest dream na makapasok ako sa UP Diliman. From BS-Nursing which was the course I didn't like, dahil narin sa pressure from peers and that time, Nursing was really in demand. Pero tinapos ko dahil yun ang gusto ng Parents, Lola and Tita ko. Ate ko, ako and ung younger sister ko took Nursing) pero younger sister ko lng ang nagpatuloy sa pagiging Nurse. Actually, I took Architecture in Bulacan State University, then the Dean transferred me to BS Mathematics since there were no slots na sa Nursing. A year after, I transferred in a Nursing School. Dami diba? pero nakaya kong tapusin in 4 years lang, then ayun naka graduate ako! Sobrang lungkot at tinamad ako tlaga pero ayoko namang bumagsak at maging Octoberian or 5 years sa college sa panahong yun, so tinapos ko!
After I graduated from College, I worked as an E.S.L. Teacher. After 6 years, I decided to resign and realized na na-miss ko ang ART side ko. I enrolled in some Fashion Schools. Oh by the way, I am already 32! At dahil nakapag ipon ako ng konti sa pagdedesign ng Bridal Gowns, I decided to Apply for the BS Clothing Technology Program as a 2nd degree in UPD. (Note: Hindi po included sa Free Tuition ang 2nd degree). So yun, I submitted my portolio and some requirements and waited for 2 months for the evaluation. Then, I received an email for the sked of my Exams and Panel Interview. Siymepre sobrang kabado! Though, exams nila isn't as hard as UPCAT pero mahirap din! Sa Panel Interview, tinadtad ako ng questions, for them to really know that you are really serious to finish the program and you can support yourself financially.
Ayun! haba na nuh? sorry naman! Pero, what I just want to say is that, if you really want something, just go for it! Never stop learning ika nga.
Importante kasi sa akin ang Degree na kukunin ko which is related to my passion and career. Kaya kailangan kong tapusin! Tsaka UP is UP! Still the Number 1 school in the Philippines. Pero remember, after you graduate from college, your skills are also important. Kung saan ka grumaduate ay isa sa mga factors lang. I've worked with so many people who graduated from Top Universities pero ewan! hihi
Sa ibang gustong pumasok sa UP or sa dream school nila, just go for it lang. Pwede kayo mag inquire sa O.U.R. (registrar), usually April nagpopost na sila ng requirements ng course gusto niyo. August ang start ng Class!

I was waitlisted in U.P. but got accepted into the University of Texas, Texas State University, and Texas Tech University Honors Program. I don't know how admission processes work now but when I applied for U.P., admissions were merely based off of exam scores and nothing else. No essays, no resumes, nothing. Sad.
Yup. UP based the admissions on the UPCAT score and your grades from the last two years of high school. I wish it included more like extracurriculars, essays.
in graduate school they included the essay.

We studied on our class last quarter all about famous artists and it also includes the Oblation and Ang Pitong Diwata from UP im proud how artistic Filipinos are but its a bit rare to see students taking art Majors believing that it is low paid
