Being reminded of what it takes and means to be in UP, watching this video had hugely helped me cope with identity crisis and self doubt whenever I had break downs during hell weeks throughout my stay in the university. When I was in my 4th year high school, my mother wanted me to take UPCAT. My mother and also my teachers expect alot from me because I'm the batch valedictorian. But at that time, i felt that students and generally, people, are all focus in the name of the University. I don't know why. It puts a lot of pressure on me because at that time I don't know why it is a big deal for our school (DLSAU) and my family. When National University offered me scholarship, I accepted it. They were all shocked.

A number of UK universities accept UP graduates (and only UP grads) into their graduate programs without requiring them to actually complete a Master's program here in the Philippines prior to applying into their universities, in contrast to being a graduate from a non-UP school. Just saying. You can ask them yourself. :)
hindi naman yan sa layo o lapit sa campus. nung ako ang estudyante sa Diliman sumasakay ako ng bus ng minsan hanggang apat na oras para lang makapasok at makauwi. kung gusto may paraan, kung ayaw, may dahilan.
isa po akong probinsyano -- taga-basilan. may same experience po ako. sa kasamaang palad, andaming nangyari sa kin nung high school pa ako, kaya mukhang ang labo ko nang makapasok dyan. ngunit sa panahong ito, pakiramdam ko may pag-asa na akong muli mapabilang sa pamantasang aking inaasam-asam. susubukan ko pa rin. at least, nag-try ako.
Biggest regret in life? Yung hindi ako nag strive hard sa pagreview for the upcat, point na lang sana, diliman na but blame it on math kung bakit hindi ako pumasa. But I'm planning to transfer next AY, because I feel like na hindi ako happy sa school ko ngayon. Diba that's what matters? marami namang UP grads na lumalabas sa system para magturo sa ibang universities dahil alam nilang kailangang mai-share sa iba ang kanilang nakuhang kalidad sa pag-aaral. dahil alam nilang ang kalidad ng edukasyon ng mamamayan ay napakahalagang factor sa pag-unlad ng isang bansa.
I beg to disagree. hindi worthless ang diploma from UP. My classmate pursued an Honours Degree sa University of Manitoba after graduating Associate in Arts from UP Open University. Kung worthless ang UP Diploma, bakit nakalista ang University of the Philipines sa drop down list ng selection kung san ka graduate sa Ministry of Manpower at mga ibang agencies ng Singapore, Australia, Canada at ibang first world countries? nasa listahan ba ang ibang schools? i-check mo for you to see. :))

Gosh nagtake ako ng UPCAT ngayon kapag po ba mababa yung exam mo sa UPCAT pero nabawi mo naman sa mga grades mo for the last 3 years pasok ka rin po ba?
We're total opposites lol. I regret na pinush ko ang UP. I'm so depressed here. I can't find happiness. Puro failures. Haaay.

marami namang UP grads na lumalabas sa system para magturo sa ibang universities dahil alam nilang kailangang mai-share sa iba ang kanilang nakuhang kalidad sa pag-aaral. dahil alam nilang ang kalidad ng edukasyon ng mamamayan ay napakahalagang factor sa pag-unlad ng isang bansa.

I beg to disagree. hindi worthless ang diploma from UP. My classmate pursued an Honours Degree sa University of Manitoba after graduating Associate in Arts from UP Open University. Kung worthless ang UP Diploma, bakit nakalista ang University of the Philipines sa drop down list ng selection kung san ka graduate sa Ministry of Manpower at mga ibang agencies ng Singapore, Australia, Canada at ibang first world countries? nasa listahan ba ang ibang schools? i-check mo for you to see. :))
