The difference is in the first time they fought, the setup was the same, it was Kageyama's setting improvement where the ball stops at Hinata's spike point and Hinata's improvement in which he can aim his spikes that changed the outcome.
That last point truly was hinata's time to shine huh. Kageyama decided to do the same quick that made them lose on their first official match against seijou, they read the quick, oikawa was waiting, BUT THEY STILL WON. Because of all the work hinata put in to be able to fight on his own. I love this match so much.

What's so amazing about this episode is the incredible pay-off for all the character development and hard work our Karasuno has gone through over the course of this entire season. With everything they did, they definitely earned this victory big time. Still one of my favorite episodes in the show. In fact, this one has only very recently been dethroned as my favorite episode of the show by another one I absolutely cannot wait to see your reaction to. This is how you do storytelling, this is how you do character development, this is how you deserve a name like "Hypekyuu"
Just a quick reminder that this isn’t some epic fighting anime with characters flying around at the speed of light with magic and shit. Just regular old volleyball. I know the writer played volleyball themselves, but I’m absolutely astonished that they’ve been able to make a sports anime this hype, with such a great story, and yet keeping it 99% realistic. Mad props to the creator of this masterpiece
Oikawa deserves praise for how he plays and the fact that he plays like this with an injured knee means he deserves it all the more, it's not like this is his last game ever but I always feel bad that Seijou never went to nationals when they deserve to go. Sadly only one team from their prefecture can go and see as they already finished season 3 on patreon we all already know who's going.
The best part of the last point is that it's the exact same placement as their last match with aoba josai. The same set and hinata with the last point that got blocked because his eyes were closed. But after the training he learns to fight in the air and aims the spike. It's such good development.
I'm probably not the only one who realized that the motion Kageyama used to set the final point was the same movement from the last game against Seijoh only then Hinata was blocked. But this time, they won.
The funny thing about this is that Oikawa is still WAY BETTER than Kageyama. And Hinata was not wrong about that last point, he was lucky, he didn't aim for the hand and he knows that Oikawa would have stopped the quick if his buddy didn't touch the ball

The funny thing about this is that Oikawa is still WAY BETTER than Kageyama.
And Hinata was not wrong about that last point, he was lucky, he didn't aim for the hand and he knows that Oikawa would have stopped the quick if his buddy didn't touch the ball
na he is not WAY BETTER than kageyama, thats only oikawa point of view, kageyama is pretty close to him, and thats crazy because kageyama is only a first year lol
@@sandygarcia3567 actually that's not oikawa's point of view at all. He thinks kageyama is too talented compared to him, while tobio believes oikawa is too better than him. They actually respect and fear each other.
As an overall player oikawa Is Better. He Is taller, Better spiker, Better blocker, Better server, he Is smarter and has a Better sense of the game having refined Is instinct as much as possible. But kageyama surpassed him as a setter and he Is destined to surpass him even in this fields. That's why Oikawa said that kageyama Is still not strong and smart as him:
1)because he Is overall Better
2)because he knows that kageyama Will surpass him even as a player.
@@mence5992 have you even read the stats from both caracters? kageyama is better in jumping, stamina, GAME SENSE and speed. He is also better blocker (He blocks aran a top 5 spiker), the only thing better of oikawa in high school is his serves, and kageyama is getting close in that aspect
@@mence5992 also kageyama is smaller in highschool because he is two years younger than oikawa, but after the timeskip he become bigger than him (kageyama is 6'2.2 and oikawa is 6'1)
