Everybody is running the archetypes with 32 holes/spokes, but you´re the only one with 28 on the rear. Shops telling me different things, but most of them suggest me 32 spokes. I am round about 170 lbs (77kg) and just want to cruise in the city, add a front rack and do some small shopping or ride to university. No tricks, but fast riding on damaged streets in the city. What is your weight? Any other people riding the archetypes with 28 spokes and still happy? What is the maximum tire widthness? Like to ride 30/32 width. Thanks for sharing experiences. Hi, I'm also from Germany 👋. I run DT Swiss high flange track hubs + Archetypes + Nirosta spokes on a Soma Rush steel build. Front has 20, rear has 24 spokes. My weight is around 73 kg and I do the same kind of riding whithout any jumping around, aiming at an optimized riding quality for a perfect riding experience. Wheels are still true as hell with half a year of use (and a little abuse, when curbs occasionly get in my way); everything is fine. The weight of the wheelset is 1,8 kg and the overall weight of my bike is 8 kg. A wheelset like this only makes sense on a superlight frameset and light parts.
Everything functions properly th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Nothing was damaged in the box aside from a decal on the fork. The decal was missing a piece of a corner but I ended up peeling them off anyways. Assembly is easy BUT make sure you tune up the derailleurs. Both the front and rear need adjusting. I'd advise going to a bike shop but I opted out and put in 10+ hours with the help of TH-cam. Ended up fraying a shifter cable but all in all I learned from the experience. The Brakes work well but the front caliper needs adjusting or at least mine did because the rotor was rubbing against the pads. Make sure you swap out the seat, grips, and pedals. For the short run you'll be fine though. I've read that this bike isn't built yet for hard trails but I just need it for the city. PA has some of the worst roads and being in a mountain this was a great choice. Worth the investment!
Bruh, why didn’t you say anything about the H+Son Archetypes? I love my set, both on my Parallax and Cyclocross bike. Amazing hoops for the money. The HYDRAs are even more cooler.

DonChul - Long story short, a lot of things. After 5 years of working there and a decade of being involved I can’t think of anybody who has anything nice to say about Chrome. They’ve roasted everybody in the bike community over the years and have since fallen off the deep end. Turns out it’s a bad place for good people.
