The drag of the foot is so clean, you can tell how hard and clean he's changing directions
Why does he drag his foot? Does that slow you down and/or increase injury risk? I am genuinely curious
@@khineness_352 From my understanding, it shows you are lower to the ground and it gives the defender a hesitation bc it fakes them to go one way before going the other direction. The drag is proof you are changing direction at a lower stance just like in football and basketball as well.

@@khineness_352 I know this comment is a year old but I just thought I'd answer. For me at least dragging my foot gives the defender one more thing to look at which might give you the advantage even if its only a little bit. He may have a different opinion though.
I feel like lacrosse deserves WAY more recognition than it actually gets, its just like, "why is football so popular, but lacrosse isnt, when lacrosse is more fun?"

What's scary about this video is that Bryce isn't even a starting attackman for the Irish. In 2021 he scored 2 goals and one assist in 6 games played. That should be an eye opener to all those parents out there who complain about their son's playing time at a D1 school!
