Would be interest to know what the problem was on the night of 30 April. The precast blocks appeared not to fit and the concrete foundations had to be ground back. Caused quite a delay in the nights program.

Another great update, many thanks. I would like to know how fast does the concrete set, as sometimes the tide is coming in, and the concrete is still being poured?

I think a lot of budget revisions have had to have been done lately, having ro find now cheaper but equally durable alternatives that may have actually been more expensive when first designed and budgeted.

Excellent report. Only wish we had more of these from contractors implementing public infrastructure projects.

I really can't thank DBC and Bam Nuttall enough for allowing these visits.
Jack really knows his onions, and his sheer enthusiasm is palpable.
Let's not forget all the gang in orange, to whom I say, well done, and thanks for the hard work.

A quick question. I am due to spend a week at Dawlish in Mid July, as a Guide Dog User, could someone kindly tell me which, if any, of the beach sections will be open for July? Very Much Appreciated 👍

Another very insightful and informative video. The amount of work that they have done is huge and still a lot more to do. Very interesting to see it all happening live. Was in dawlish a few weeks ago but didn't see any work happening as the the tide had stopped it. Good to know as well that the inside of the station will probably get a makeover. I also hope that the viaduct and the station building will get a much needed coat of paint.
    Great work jack and co.
