Hello John! I really liked your painting and the recommendations that you gave during the work. I'm very interested, are you still working with Daniel Smith's water based oil paints? Or maybe they found something even better, or, nevertheless, returned to traditional oil paints? Thank you for your responsiveness.
hi, could you please tell us what other brands of water mixable oil paint have you tried? I have Cobra, Daniel Smith, Holbein Duo, Norma Blue, and I am not sure if the pigment load of Cobra paint is as good as Daniel Smith. Though, I have to tell you that I only have one tube of Cobra paint, so I did not have a complete picture of Cobra paint. Some day I will buy some more tubes for comparison.
@@cisp360 Lukas Berlin, Winsor and Newton Artisan and Grumbacher Max are the few I’ve tried other than Cobra and in my opinion the Cobra brand is the best for me. Maybe it just depends on personal preference.
Hello; I use cheap bristle brushes. My 2” and 1” are Ace Hardware, maybe a few bucks each and I use some of the Hobby Lobby (red handle) hog bristle brushes. I found that as long as you take care of them, they last a very long time. I never say a need for expensive ones.
Wonderful! Thank you!

Hello
Still using Daniel Smith for brush oil painting and Griffin Alkyd oil paint for pallet knife paintings.
Cobra water mixable oil paints are the BEST! Give those a try before you give up on water mixable.
Will do. Thank you

What sort of brushes do you use with the Daniel Smith paints? Natural bristle or synthetics?
