This may sound stupid, but im not great with signal stuff, so I’ll try to word this to the best of my ability.. I was told by a friend that flasher relays can break if you use more than 15 amps. Then got told by another friend to only give my gate mech 15 amps. And then, to only give my bell 5 amps. I’m not sure how much I trust all of this.. do I really need 3 power supplies or can I just use 1? Like I said, that sounds stupid, but im not great with this
@@Indianarailproductions In most cases just one is fine. You can’t give a device “amps”. Amps is how much electricity the device draws, which is not controllable unless you increase the voltage more than what it should be. Just use one power supply, able to power everything at the same time, I’d recommend a 30 amp power supply at around 12 volts. However, your gate mechanism may require more voltage than the lights and bell. If that’s the case, you’ll need a separate power supply for the gate mechanism versus the signals.
nice tour of your collection love the wrrs swinging gate lights.
Awesome! I kinda need to get my setup more organized like this 💀 lol
*clicking sounds and bells with lights*
funni.

@@TexasRailfan2008alright, I appreciate that. I’m not the greatest with electrical, but im fine to wire up a circuit or replace an outlet..
Where did you learn/get all this stuff? Family or friend in the railroad business?
Best I've got is a signal maintenance truck!
@@compirate all from other collectors who have made deals with railroad back in the day.
Damn two model 10s! I have only been looking for like 10 years.
I hate to keep bugging you about it, i'm sure you get a lot of fans asking but you got any updates on the hurricane?
@@GabesElectronics currently no updates as school has started and I barely have time to do anything non school related.
@@TexasRailfan2008 understandable.
