pisses me off fr, i spent months on my ep in hopes of it helping me grow my fanbase, just for this platform to ruin it by essentially faking my streams
This has happen to me multiple times, and they do it out of no where they just hijack yo songs, and when I contact Spotify and talk to them about it, Spotify don’t do nth but always tell me to report them. They mess up my organic reach and algorithms for the actual fan base I’m trying to reach. And Spotify just don’t care smh 🤦🏾♂️
It just happened today for a song on one of my recent releases. Notice I didn't say one of "my" songs? I did a collaborative track with another artist (main track) and then I added a b-side level original, and the other artist added one as well in order to create an balanced EP out of the release. We both invested in a great ad campaign which ended last week, but I noticed a spike today on the release stats and 30 new followers (for me). I didn't see any uptick on any of my tracks but I noticed the other guys b-side track had a big spike in streams. I couldn't click on it since "this song is not part of your catalog" in order to see his stats, but I was able to see the playlist it was added to overnight and it was in fact Artister. I am not gonna say anything to him cause he's feelin' good right now about the spike. UPDATE: The original playlist he was put on was "FRESH NEW MUSIC", I just checked and now it's on "CHILL NIGHT". The track is Hardcore Techno (Gabber). WAY wrong playlist to be put on. LOL
Not gonna lie, I'm thinking about creating another Spotify account and make some extra money on the side cause I don't want just listening to random stuff to mess up my on repeat playlist. But honestly, that's the one thing that. Really sucks about music. Is there so many people? Who want to just take money from you? Because there's so many people who are desperate to get numbers because they think they'll get on from that. It's a crazy cycle.
I was added on a certain playlist and I got 2k streams on one song in 2days now I don't know if they are real or fake cuz i don't want Spotify to ban me
