Watching you talking about Charlotte brings back memories for the friend I lost 30 years ago.
I lost my best mate last December from cancer. The cancer was on one of his lungs. Despite having surgery's, radio and chemo, the cancer became aggressive and spread to different locations then they could do no more for him. I miss him so much and I will always cherish the memories I had with him. I truly feel your pain right now.. Just remember all the amazing time you had with her!! Sending hugs your way! Sorry for your loss!
Friendship is forever, in this world or the next. Your mate will live forever in your heart and mind.

God bless Charlotte, my thoughts are with you Yvette. You gave your best friend and her husband, the greatest gift, love and support through her last hours of life, that is very brave. I survived a serious head injury when I was 20, narrowly avoiding death. I bless every morning I wake because I am still here to love my wife, daughter and son. You are a beautiful, caring person and Charlotte will always be you, in your thoughts, memories and future. Friendship is forever, in this world or the next. Hi. This is to Yvette, and and all others who have lost their best friend. Im on the other side, im in stage 5 kidney failure and cancer. In a month they are cutting out 60% of my liver, mt gallbladder, lymph nodes, and 3 feet of intestines. Cancer disqualifies my from the kidney transplant waiting list i was on, and it limits some of the treatments ill be able to take if i survive the surgery. I just wanted to tell you i know how hard it is, because ive lost so many ive loved at a young age, like a girl i loved aged 29 and my best friend aged 32, but now, as it looks like i dont have much time, i kniw its going to hurt those that love me, but i cant imagine going through this alone. My only comfort is somebody holding my hand when i go, because honestly im terrified. Im sorry youre in pain over this, but it meant everything to your friend that you were there. I promise you that.

Thinking of my wife right this moment. RIP and RIP. I remember getting up from the sofa to check on her., I came to a full stop. She had passed two weeks earlier. Six years on and the pain and sorrow still remains. The darkness still remains

My 2 yr. old great niece has a brain tumor, went through chemo, was to start radiation and parents decided not to put her through that. The specialists said it would leave her so disabled that she would have to be cared for the rest of her life, not able to do anything for herself. Right now she's in palliative care, the step before hospice and Make A Wish is sending them to Disney World on the 24th of this month if she is still able to have some fun with her 5 year old sister and parents. It's terribly sad, she's a beautiful little girl and a smile on her face all the time. It doesn't seem fair with so much evil and our sweet ones are taken. But, actually, if you are religious, you understand this world is run by evil and we are blessed to leave this world to go be with our Creator. It doesn't make it better for those left to mourn but we will all be reunited one day.
I am so sorry for the loss of your best friend. My best friend and I have known each other for over 40 years. We met in junior high and have been through marriages, births, death, and everything in between together. I cannot imagine life without her. My thoughts and prayers are with you, her husband and her family for strength and peace!
She passed away about 7 days after my post. I'm glad it wasn't drawn out for that sweet baby girl. Thank for allowing me to share on your personal post of loss. It was good for me to let it out. Hope you are doing okay.
I'm mourning this week too. :( but we'll get there. The people we lost gave us everything we need to make it through it and eventually smile and laugh at their memory rather than cry. :D The person I lost had the same condition and ended the same way. It's not easy. Look after yourselves.

Live life with her in mind. If she's going to haunt you, make sure she's not bored just haunting you at home. Take her spirit with you on adventures and never forget all the wonderful times you shared. You were lucky to have each other as friends.

Always sad to loose a fried, especially at a young age. However, the memories you shared will live on.
She's in a better place now, so don't cry I know it's not to but be strong for yourself not her as she's safe and warm and you'll meet her one day not to soon hopefully lol but remember her best times okay, just be happy for her, 👌
Try to remember the happy times. Death simply means she's stepped out for a while.
I'm so sorry that Charlotte has died.
He was my best friend from the age of 5 until he died at 32, some 20 odd years ago after a short illness, about 4 months.
Its very hard to take. He hadn't been married that long.
To say you get over it isn't really correct, you learn to live with it and you will always remember Charlotte.
The human mind has a way of blocking out the bad stuff, it does take a while, I suppose its part of the coping mechanism.
When the end was near his family wanted me to be part of the decision process to turn the machines off. Like you I had a few minutes to say goodbye, he was unconscious. He died about an hour later. I'm so glad that I took time to see him when he was in and out of hospital.
You have some lovely memories and these will be a massive support to you.

A very intense, sincere and moving video. I cannot imagine how hard it was for you to make it. Life is very unfair when good people suffer in this way. It is a horrible disease. You are a good person and a good friend - nothing in life is more important than that. I hope you take some comfort from that and that the passage of time will bring you some healing. The grief and loss will never go away but Charlotte will stay in the hearts of all those who knew her and loved her.
My 38 yr old niece died of a brain tumour caused through the metastasising of a melanoma 6 weeks after the birth of her first child. Only showed symptoms 2 weeks before due date. 😢
I am so sorry for your loss. I just lost my sister/best friend to cancer too, in a very similar way. I know what you are going through. They are not suffering now they are finally at peace.

Bless you all and Charlotte for being fast friends and all the loving support you particularly gave. Grief is a process (I lost my best friend at 23, I'm about to be 50), and eventually the tides turn a little bit with smiles of wonderful memories and things that remind you of her making you a bit happy rather than sad. It will take time, quite a bit of it. Your love for her will never diminish.

My besit died 6 days ago from cancer
I lost my soul sister very suddenly a year ago this past June. It still feels like I’m in a nightmare with her gone. Find comfort in your memories with her, remember everything and keep it close to you. She is with you always
I'm so sorry you lost your dear sister. I lost my younger sister and best (and only) friend a little over 3 weeks ago. I can so relate to feeling like you are living a nightmare. Still I have moments when I am so completely grateful I had a sister and best friend as wonderful as her for 38 years. I hope things get easier and yes our sisters are always with us. She is your guardian angel now. Sending big big hugs your way

Sorry for your loss ... but at least Charlotte is no longer suffering. Losing anyone is never easy and it is even harder if that person is a big part of your life, as I always say` they are never truly gone .. because if you close your eyes and think of them` they will always be right there with you.
I feel for you and Charlotte and her husband. My best friend's son is law was diagnosed with gioblastoma on Valentine's Day 2022. Two brain surgeries. Also had a stroke, paralyzed on his left side. He turned 30 in March. His wife had a baby in July 2021. He was hopeful and optimistic but he recently asked the oncologist how long he had. Now that he knows it's not long, he's given up and it seems to be any day now. for him.

Cancer is soo horrid, and although everything is still so raw now, with time it will ease and its important to remember her for the good things that made you such good friends. Take some time, give her husband support, but time alone too. If nothing else, she got chance to say her goodbyes, and was surrounded by people she loved, many people don't even get that.

My condolences to you Yvette. I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your best friend Charlotte. I understand how hard this must be for you. I too lost my best friend Bec, from a tumour in 2020. I couldn't visit her as I was in isolation due to the pandemic and this was something I couldn't deal with for a long time. We finally was able to have a farewell send off for Bec two years later and this helped me have closure.
You are a wonderful friend and I can hear that Charlotte loved you very much. It will take time but time will heal and it will get easier. You will have wonderful memories forever. Take care Yvette 😘❤️

So sorry to hear of your loss. I also lost a friend at the beginning of the year, who had a brain tumour. He taught me how to play the bass in 1990 and I played a couple of gigs with him.
