What did Hamas expect that'll happen after the massacare on October 7th? Obviously an attack on them. However they embedded themselves within the Gaza civilization:
1. The rockets that are fired on Israel are placed near civilian structures, such as mosqus, hospitals, kintegarden, etc. The reason Hamas chose to place their launchers there is because they knew these places will be IDF target for bombing (to eliminate any weapon sources). So already the choice of placing the launchers there shows the lack of empathy to the human lives of the population in Gaza.
2. Those who live in Gaza and wish to head south to avoid any bombings on their head, are stopped, threatened, or killed by the Hamas terrorists, denying them any shelter and force them to return homes and hope for the best.
3. IDF uses multiple methods to inform the citizens to evacuate before bombing the area (dropping thousands of flyers, calling residents), and not by minutes, they give them plenty time before.

Ask them why they haven't provided education, electricity, water. They seem to ran out of everything except rockets. This makes it clear what their priorities are.
